  • Holy Bladerunner influence.

  • One of the best games I've ever played along Fallout 1 & 2. Especially the music and atmosphere created by it are far superior to any game ever since, even if I played this when I was 13-14 and couldn't care less about music. Entering the club threw in some serious shit which totally blew my mind through my eardrums.

Only regret is that I was never able to beat the game, it just got too hard for me back then, should maybe have another try some day.

  • Does anyone else get a schism vibe from that song at 4:27

  • New Shadowrun browser based flash game that seems to stay true to the SNES version. Google that noise chummer.

  • Pretty sure that this is my favorite RPG of all time with FFIII being a close 2nd.

  • New shadowrun game coming out! Google: Shadowrun online cliffhanger studios

  • @eyebal thanks for the heads up

  • This Is what I call REAL music. Epic indeed =) the snes version has the best music, but the md version has the best gameplay imo. Both versions are great though!

  • 2:54 - 4:26 best tune in the game

  • I thought I'd tell you guys something interesting, Marshall Parker (the composer for this game's music) said he got the instruments from the Roland MV-30.

  • @Doommaster1994 Cool to know!

  • music from shadowrun

    depositfiles..com/files/4zfkp9ag8

  • I remember back I when I saw my older brother was playing this game, and I was too freaked out by the music to play it. It seemed like a rated R video game compared to everything I was used to.

  • OMFG. my cousins used to have this at their house, I played it before I was old enough to know what the hell was going on or what to do. They nerve got past the beginning either.. I'd always wanted to track this down and play it again but couldn't remember the name of rind it. AWESOME

  • This game was great! So much depth and so much to do

  • Remember that AWESOME laugh of the jester spirit?

    "I-YA-HA-HARRR!"

  • Why oh why did they make that shooter crap game?? no RPG element... COME ON developpers newbs... theres enough shooters on the market as it is. I would play 10 times over this SNes game over the shooter crap one they made. The Genesis version was better than the shooter crap they made too, I would play it 5 times over the shooter crap. I mean COME ON dev newbs, whats with the shooter crap with no rpg element?? Were those guys on crack or opium? Please make an RPG Shadowrun NOW. Thanks

  • Burned-out Shaman/Decker/Street Sam... I love this game ;)

  • I never got to understand the purpose of that damn dog, that one in the tunnel in the beginning.

  • He's your guide.

  • I never got to understand the purpose of that damn dog

  • DOG doesnt control your destiny, MCDONALDS does, and it DESTINY's you to the bathroom... god that hurts, but atleast i'll have good music for the first 7 mins and 21 seconds im in there. :) One of the best games on the SNES!

  • The best song is missed: The Morgue-song. I will upload it soon.

  • Incredible music in this ShadowRun... far better than Genesis music.

  • this game use to scare the crap out of me when I was young..haha.

  • the "encounter" theme at 4:26 is so hypnotic, I've literally had 45 minute car rides where I listen to nothing but that on loop. Overall this soundtrack had a very unique sound among the SNES titles- I certainly don't remember any other games using the same samples as this.

  • I really must play this game :) love the story

  • @MrTouchShriek haha redmond barrens music is the shit

  • this game had very good music

  • genesis one is better in different aspects

  • Goddamn beretta licks ass.

    T-250 Shotgun is mandatory!

  • friggin cortex bomb, killed me so many times >.>

  • i never got that far, i always got stuck after you find the dog n u get the pistol from the dead dude....................

  • Beaten this game twice, the music is burned into my brain. Sometimes it randomly gets stuck in my head, and I haven't even played the game in years!

  • I'm considering remaking a couple of the tracks...

    Could be an interesting project.

  • I love this game, when i see the graphics for the game now i kind of wish the makers of Fallout 1 & 2 also made a version of this game but with fallout 1 & 2 graphics, I could never get past one part in this game though so i ended up just putting the game away, i still play this game from time to time but alway get stuck at the same spot in the game.

  • you would have gotten stuck later on even if you passed that part

  • wat spot is that?

  • not a bad idea, those battles seemed made for pc gaming anyway.

  • 6:28 even though it's only a short loop when you go into the computer matrix, it sounds like the intro to a freaky Pink Floyd song, great

  • Never played the SNES version, but I absolutely loved the Genesis version. It really is a shame the new Shadowrun was multiplayer only and they didn't do a proper sequel.

  • Oh man, love this game

  • AH, gosh I love this game so much. The poor cartridge needs the dust wiped off of it again... lol

  • what need takes for the damm dog? i am brazilian i dont understand so much than the game tells. somebody knows?

  • ok u need to open the park gate, just outside the start building, get the collar. the next important part with the dog, is later in the game, at the port. talk to "kitsune", she is a singer in a bar and turns herself into a dog... the dog will teach u magic then. write me, if u have any problems finishing the game

  • I always loved that funky Slap bass they used in the music of this game.

  • I read about this game when I was little. It looked so interesting. Didnt have a Genisis though. Now, Emulators!

  • This is not a genesis game. You are mixing it up with another game.

  • There is a Shadowrun game for the Sega Genesis as well as one for Sega CD except that one was never released outside of Japan.

  • @AFnord

There is a genisis game called shadowrun as well. even though they are technically 2 different games, they both exist in the Shadowrun "Universe" like Clark & Bruce both exist in the DC universe

  • I. LOVE. THIS. MUSIC.

  • Cyerpunk FTW! :D

I have this game, it was actually translated tho Swedish when it was released in Sweden :P, not very often that happens (except for kid games ofcourse)

  • And the translation was horrible ;) There were a handful of other more mature games that were translated, like shadowaget (where they managed to misspell "gå", and "slå" (instead it said "gä" and "Slä"), but yes, for the most part, games were in English, even kids games of this era was.

  • the genesis game was ok, but it would've benefited from the snes setup.

  • i like the genesis one way more

    +more guns

    +more charecters

    +bigger enviroment

    +more spells

    +more cyber-upgrades

    +open ended gameplay

    -sunglasses.......(thank god)

  • The combat could have used a lot of tweaking in the Genesis game. I liked the game as a whole though. I think the snes version is superior.

  • i know what you mean as soon as you spend like 40 karma you tend to get one hit ko'ed by a punch very often, i like them both, though, i just thought the snes one was too easy once you hit the vampire hideout and get heal to 6 and the ak-47 your pretty unstopable.

  • Man, how much cooler can you get??

  • Such a cool little rpg and then they made Shadowrun on the xbox 360, I was so excited until I realised it was a fps shoot em up!? What fucking mook decided to do that? One of my faves which I play to this day. Some cool toons too.

  • I wanted to harass the people who made that game, but it's not worth it. I should've seen something like this coming.

  • This soundtrack still sounds amazing.

  • Go Go Marshall Parker.

  • lol, hes doing that same money trick i was doin lol. yeah I enjoyed the music in this game. wish people made remixes, haven't seen any. I'm about to make my own soon :)

  • I couldn't agree more. I totally dig this soundtrack as it makes the regular rounds on my Ipod.

  • top 5 greatest games of all time, Def one of the best vid games soundtracks

  • Uh, no

  • Good stuff

  • One of my favorites games ever and one of the best soundtracks. Thanks for this.

  • Yeah, I just loved that game... superb soundtrack!!

  • awsome game... with a great soundtrack!

  • I'd love to hear a good remix.

  • I've never played this game, but it seems really involving and interesting. IMHO, I don't think I'd be able to listen to the music without seeing the game with it. Not too bad though...

  • This game changed my life. I remember renting it for 2 days when I was eleven and the morgue/caryard theme stucked in my for weeks. I'm surprised it's not in the video, it's the best track in the game IMO.

  • first rpg i ever player / first exposure to the cyberpunk genre; a milestone in my existence as well

  • @eyhexs My thoughts exactly. This game is a major influence in various aspects of my life. The music feels like home.

  • @eyhexs

im playing it right now (well, not RIGHT now) and i cant stop enjoying it,even though its a bit confusing,it doesn't stop surprising me,let me tell you its kind of the first "old" game i decide to play (im 14 :P) and its just too good :)

  • @eyhexs If you guys love shadowrun for snes and sega search on google for abandon tomorrow flash game - its a rpg inspired from shadowrun and it can be played straight from browser , no download required. Haill shadowrun! PS: if you help the game with a good rating developers gona make a contiune to it.

  • Damn, this game looks good. Should try hunt this down. Also, I'm gonna start saying 'geeked' instead of 'killed'.

  • if there was a game loosely based on Queensryche's Mindcrime...this would be it

  • If the game wasn't so hard off the bat, I'd probably had enjoyed it more. Like BrianS198 indirectly said, this game didn't seem to have too much value when it came to building your character, contrary to its pen 'n paper beginnings. Music's enjoyable though, the city music's cool to listen to when your trying the figure out what the hell to do next.

  • I might make a vid for that version as well, somewhere down the line.

  • @garudoh o please tell me when you do that i loved shadowrun for sega and the music from ther is much better specialy intro music and music from clubs

  • @garudoh

Any Change of the video yet? :-)

  • @owen402005 it really, really didn't

  • @owen402005 I disagree. The SNES soundtrack sounded more 80's to me, more synthie to it. And when I think Cyberpunk, I think 80's synthie music.

  • @Busterdrag

You're right about it sounding more 80's but this takes place in the future. I think the music would have evolved over the decades into what's in the genesis version.

  • This was one of my favorites

  • nicely done....i like how u know about killing the hitman to get mad nuyen

  • Umm someone else played this , read the video discription.

  • An awesome game~

  • Ahhhh, Shadowrun. One of my all-time favorite SNES games, even if I liked the Sega one better overall. Sweet video man.

  • what are the differences to the snes version?

  • oops sorry stupid question, didnt know there was a sega version..

  • Haha, you're fine dude. The Sega version is much more RPG orientated. I mean the SNES version is pretty open ended to some extent, but you gotta admit that it's fairly linear at the same time. In the Sega version, you have more stats and items, you can hire tons of different shadowrunners and level them how YOU want, it's much more open ended where you have many different branches in the main quest and you can do shadowruns for many different Mr. Johnsons. In lamence terms, it's more like...

  • the actual Pen & Paper RPG rather than a complete spin-off. Not to mention you really get to choose how your character will develop as a Samurai, Decker, or Shaman. It's pretty neat stuff man, definitely check it out.
