@petrasco555 Wow, you come in here and post that and yet I'm the *expletive deleted*? I think anyone reading your post will know which one of us deserves that moniker.
@RailgunNZ Apparently Vodafone are releasing this and the Galaxy Nexus soon. Up until then your best bet would be at a parallel importer. Where do you live?
2 things i regret that i shouldve done sooner in auckland. 1 is L&P, 1 is unitec pies! until the last year before my leave i found out ablout L&P and unitec beef pie.
Welke vrouw stopt er nou een smartphone in haar broekzak? Ik heb daar een handtas voor ;-) .De note is echt een aanrader, mijn laptop voelt zich wat verwaarloosd!
I am over the moon with the Note, although 5.3" large I can carry it in my pants or my work shirt pocket and does the job of a phone and tablet with incredible colors and speed.
Ditched the iPhone, plenty of battery power and easy to sync....
iPhone was a nag with iTune and unable to get to battery.
Hey just a quick question, does this phone fit in like stretch-fit jeans and/or school type/ work type formal pants? Just really want to know that cos I'm really considering getting this phone, but just concerned that it'll be too big to fit in my pocket without a struggle.
Very informative video btw. Answered a lot of my questions. Thanks :) :)
@creative4art I'd be careful in here with comments like that, probably more than a few viewers here who have had/still have a pocket calculator in their shirt pocket! ;p
@NZtechfreak lol rite... could be true, but on the other hand, If you have a note, you wouldn't require an old school calc :)
I used to own a Dell Streak, and I did not like the fact that I could not leave it in my shirt pocket. Switched to Galaxy S2 and love the slim light weight form factor.
@XXB4XX I think you forgot a few key words in your opening sentence, which should read "no way is the note something pocketable FOR ME". A million Note users are quite happy with it :)
Looks like back to the cargo pants. Gonna have to put away my skinny jeans. The only place to put away my galaxy note in my speedos is in my crouch. Lol.
@CRAKIZGOOD Thanks! Certainly this one has attracted a bit of attention. I think the connectivity demo has a lot more merit, but what are ya gonna do?
the question now is: can you get the Note out of your jeans pocket while sitting down? or do you have to stand to take a call? I definitely have no problems with my s2
The weird thing about this is that your voice in the start and finish makes me sleepier lol, and I see this Galaxy Note in SC and is really big, but is really good for playing games because of the big screen it has, like GTA III is good to play in it
Imagine if Otterbox decides to make a case for this device and how well it would fit in your pocket, lol. Is this phone worth getting? I have an iPhone 4 and I want a larger screen handset because the iPhone's screen is so small that after a long period of use I feel a bit of eye strain. What I do mostly on my device is stream videos, texting, web browsing, checking emails, and listening to music.
@JSantana319 It's an excellent phone for anyone who can handle the size - I have a massive review at the blog (probably the most comprehensive you'll find on the internet). Worth a read if you're considering buying. Updates since I wrote the review have improved the handsets performance too.
@dannymack96 i went to the store to try out note how it feels in hand and how it fits in my pocket, the coincidence was that i was wearing my tightest jeans which is good because i did crouch with note in my pocket and it was so comfortable i didnt even feel it was there, so i dont think the size can cause problems, not at all
For going above and beyond the call of reviewing a piece, and exploring and sharing physical in-pocket phone experiences (which IMHO the humongous galaxy note demands), I thumbs up this video.
I think it's too big for a jeans pocket. Especially when you are sitting or moving around. Just uploaded a video: Jeans Pocket Test (click my name). You might wanna check it out. But don't laugh. ;)
Samsung shows us that size doesn't matter in our pockets! 5.3 inch is HUGE and it still isn't that bad when you have it in your pocket. I think that's pretty cool.
@Atomcitypasi Very subjective thing, for you and I it may not be too big, but for many it will be. If you can handle the size then I highly recommend the Note!
@NZtechfreak Still, i cant decide for which phone i need to save money. SGS 2 or Note. I'm afraid i can't control note with one hand and it won't fit in my pocket, but if it fit i will crush a screen...
@iirmantass3 If one-handed use is a biggy for you then I'd say the S2 is where you want to be. If you're looking now it may well be worth waiting a couple of months, there are lots of HD screened devices coming shortly and some will be more pocketable than the Note. If you're buying right now I think the S2 is a fine choice.
@MrExecutivezombie Great! If you can watch this and read my review at the blog and the size and flaws don't peturb you then you should adore the Note!
@guyverman I think for many people a fair comment, but peoples needs are different and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand either. I love the Note, but I think it's hard to escape the fact that this is a niche device.
@Qvn24 No worries, if you're having second thoughts about the Note because of it's size then might be best to try one out in person before jumping in - part of the reason I did the video - help people try and decide that for themselves.
@mec4plaisir Your english is just fine! Better than quite a few native speakers that I have met, that's for sure. I've heard that the white model is due before Christmas in Germany, but little else besides that (and as to how good the pre-Christmas release date is I have no idea).

I have the Samsung Galaxy S now, and am debating whether to get the NOTE of SGS 2
Seems like the NOTE is perfect to replace HD camera. tablet, NAVIGation screen, etc.
I wear jackets with the special zip phone pocket in front. and the NOTE would go in there easily.
But the SGS 2 is much lighter than the note.
Still debating, will wait until after Xmas to decide.
