  • My buddy has the same bike for sale for $300. Should I pick it up?

  • Its not really bad they just dont idle good they stall out unlike a fourstroke

  • i thought it was bad to let a 2 stroke idle?

  • @kevfulltilt1 no its bad to ride it like a four stroke and hold it full to the bar, 2 strokes your supposed to burp the throttle, but idling is fine its not burning hot enough or running hard to do damage

  • i suggest fmf race exhaust sounds great

  • I have this same bike. I love it

  • Where can i find some Number plates like you have on it?

  • i have the same one i sat outside for 8 months and it started in 6 kicks

  • Are the new model kdx 200's any good? Im lookin at buyin one. I know someine who'll sell a 2005 model for $1200

  • so fun. just got the RB head and Carb mod. modifying the pipe as we speak.

    kdx4L

  • how much is a used one of these??

  • have u ever had to rebuild this thing, and do u have to do alot of maintenence on it besides normal stuff

  • @seanmccullough67 I bought the bike and it was all original never been rebuild had it for over a year before I sold it. The thing ran like a champ and they last a lot longer than the motorcross bikes..which your suposed to change your rings every 10 or so hours to prevent early rebuilds. These bikes are good fun reliable bikes.

  • @magnummcneil really, well im defnitely gonna get it then thx man

  • hey im lookin at getting a kdx 200 how fast do these bikes go i do alot of trail riding but i want something that will be fast too

  • @quadfreak300 its a good trail bike but the only thing is man its a heavy bike. Its good though because its planted but it can be a brute sometimes. They move real nice i was going beside my buddy in his truck had it doing around 135-140 kph not miles. She moves quick my friends honda cr125 couldn't touch it. It beat me off the line but about 3 seconds later i flew by him.

  • @quadfreak300 its a great bike ther pretty fast and ther not very heavy im about 135 pounds and i hold up a rm 500 esy so its much lighter thn wat im used to but anyways i had one it was relible and just a nice bike

  • @Patrtickgilligan the kdx is heavyer than the rm 500= under 100kg empty and the kdx something around 120

  • @ak47proshooter lol not realy i have a 83 rm 500 soo umm im prtty sure its alot more heavy the kdx is about 250lbs my old rm is 300 so yea

  • @Patrtickgilligan actually we were both wrong they both have about the same dry weight

  • @Patrtickgilligan actually we were both wrong they both have about the same dry weight

  • @Patrtickgilligan actually we were both wrong they both have about the same dry weight a 83" weighs 227lbs and the kdx (depends which year) from 220 to 235lbs

  • @quadfreak300 ran mine with 450r in arena cross no prob keeping up

  • @quadfreak300 I have a KDX 200 and it goes about 60 to 70 mph. This bike can get up and get it. My bike has been rebuilt though. I wouldn't trade it for anything though

  • @lance101690 man your bike must be even faster than that. 60 mph is 100 kph and i almost hit 140 kph riding beside my buddy in his truck on that bike. Its a quick bike for sure lol

  • @magnummcneil If thats a 2 stroke it shud be goin way faster.. i had my KDX 200 2 stroke all stock goin 110 MPH on the highway

  • Personlly I hate oil injection. My Formula Z ski-doo is oil injected. I know why they do it. It makes sense so that if your touring and you pull up to a gas station you can just put gas in your tank cuz otherwise you'd have to have a container to mix it. But if the injector pump ever breaks your fucked! You'll seize the engine and won't even know it. Oil injected bikes are stupid, just mix before you leave home, its not as hard as people think.

  • @magnummcneil come again bri..

  • I had a 1991 oild injected one....

Quite rare as loads of owners remove the oil pump and tank as it has a tendency to fail...

Maybe that's why i lew my engine up twice in one year?

  • I ride a kawasaki 636 street bike. New to dirt, I am 6' feet tall 160lbs. Would you consider this a good starter bike?

  • yes.. you should get a cheap one of these. they come in 200, 250, 220, 400.. the 400 is pretty old and rare though. get a nice 200 and beat it up

  • no get a kx250 iam 13yrs old 5'9 180lbs and i have a 1989 kx250

  • i hav 1 but its a 1994 not water cooled and needs a new clutch cable, but other than that it runs great and has some power

  • repack the silencer so it is not so loud......weare losing ofroad riding everywhere due to loud bikes!!

  • and road bike get a bad reputation because of loud off road pipes,

  • i had an 87 kdx 200 that would eat up anything around..mean bike

  • I have the same bike, and I only can say that is one of the most cool bikes!

  • Why would you rev the engine on such a shitty bike? gross.

  • @Spulegence its a great bike you fag. and who says "gross" to that? you'rea such a fucking dumbass.

  • Really....That's a great bike......well i could have sworn that a 250R was a great bike, guess im wrong.

  • thsi is a great trail bike... If you were actually into trail riding then this would be a great bike to you. obviously your not so fuck off. noone wants to hear your stupid opinion.

  • need some new tires the tread is eat up on that one but nice bike my dad used 2 have one

  • sounds like it needs a rebuild

  • these bikes make a complete different sound from anything i have heard, i own a 1994 KDX 200 that is pretty beastly. Check it in my videos

  • exelente motocicleta

  • Those bikes go forever.

  • i got a 92 KDX 200. with the DG exhaust on it.. mine runs great except for the kickstarter is stripped out

  • i got a 90 kdx 200

runs like a champ, still starts in a kick or 2

    there excellent bikes.

  • That is a sweet bike- no doubt. Sounds good to me!

  • I bought one of these new in 1991. There are 2 versions. Enduro and MX. The enduro version had oil injection. No battery though. The horn was like someone whistling. Great little bike. Some stinking Harley riding apes stole it from the car park in the city where I used to park it in 1992 and that was the end of that.

  • in the US there's only 1 version, premix

  • is this bike oil injected. I'm assuming its not cause its a 2 stroke but i'm hoping it is, cause I'd like to buy one but hate mixing the gas...

  • No man. I don't know of any bikes that are, I could be wrong, but I've never seen any none company like honda or kawasaki or anything like that with oil injection. I know ski-doos but thats about it. Anyways mixing aint that bad just as long as you get your math right. This bike is 32:1 mixture so i either get 8L of gas and put 1/4 of a 1L bottle of oil or 16L of gas with 1/2 bottle of oil

  • the yamaha pws are and i had a suzuki ds that was. i think its only in small bikes

  • @magnummcneil I have a suzuki JR 80 thats oil injected, its cool not to have to mix it, but be very careful that the oil pump doesnt malfunction, because you would obviously seize the engine. btw the suzuki JR80's are 2 stroke and so is the kdx, but the kdx is mix 32 to 1

  • lol thers no 2 stroke dirtbike that i know of that is oil injected, mixing gas is realy easy

  • ya, there are some, some old 2 stroke trail bikes, like my friends yamaha 1993 dt(or something like that) 100

  • My dad had a kawi g5 100 and he said that was oil injected

  • the old suzuki TS bikes were all oil injected, as far as i know

so you could stop at a gas station and just fill up, sort of like you can do with a 2 stroke moped

  • ur lazy

  • @bigdee1984

The only bikes that I remember being oil injected were the 2 stroke dual sport bikes of the 70's and 80's. All the offroad bikes that I know of, you had to mix the oil and gas. I'm an old fuck so I remember very well too. I'm 45.

  • @bigdee1984 mixing gas is way better ...oil injectors get clogged and your rebuilding a motor ....i just bought a jet boat the first thing i did is ripped the oil injection system out

  • @bigdee1984 all 2strokes stoke hav oil injectors

  • @bigdee1984 all 2strokes stoke hav oil injectors i hav a bike from 82 thts a oil injected 2stroke

  • @Patrtickgilligan if they were all oil injected we wouldn't be mixing the gas..lol

  • my cousin has this bike same year the transmission went out on it (fixed) and the stater and bottom end blew up on it. (fixed)

  • How powerful are your bike? I think i need to switch piston on my kdx 200, because it's only going up on the backwheel on first gear.

  • Just because you can't cat walk doesn't mean you have to change the piston. You need a nice new back tire for start otherwise you'll just spin. Try doing it on flat surfaces that have little give. This bike is not like a motocross bike is doesn't lift that easy up in higher gears. Mixing a a good synthetic racing oil and good gas can give you some extra power.

  • Well, I have tried on nice flat asphalt. But it only raise a bit on the first gear without clutching.

Did your bike perform much better?

    Btw is your exhaust stock?

  • No I just have stock exaust. My bike will lift if you pop the clutch and give it a big shot of gas. It takes practise to do it in higher gears. I didn't really do that much of that. I mean you could put a high compression piston in, but unless you getting blow by theres not really a need. If if you were getting blow by inside the cylinder you would notice as your progressing through the gears, getting up into the higher rmps 2 shift to the next gear.

  • What a cracking bike!

  • lol. Thanks man!

  • beatiful bike

  • Unfortunatly boyz, I sold er. I no i no. I regret it, but i need a car

  • nice bike.

make it scream, but not when you cold start it.

  • i have the exact same bike 1991 kdx200. amazing bike. bulletproof

  • how tall are you? cause im 5'4" and i wanted to know if i would be able to fit on this bike cause i might get one. so please reply!!

  • i don't know, i Just bought a 1978 kdx175 and its big on me and im a good 5'8 5'9 with boots on. It'll be big on you

  • im 5'6" and a i can start mine fine..its a 94'

  • ya ull fit buddy, its just gonna kick ur ass for a while till u get used to it... alot of snap of those bikes dude

  • u might not be able to maybe though im 5'7 and i can ride it easily but its a hard time holding it up cuz its kinda high lol

  • Hey I'm 5'4" too and I just rode a 2000 KDX200 and I fit fine but I'm tippy toes on it.

  • elle fé 1 bo bruit

  • I have a 1984 KDX200. It's a fun bike. Looks like aftermaket exhaust on there?

  • No Its just stock.

  • i might be getting one tommorow i hope i do!

  • i have the same bike its sick

  • i have a 95 kdx 200 but its the rare white. i love it man love it

  • i have a kdx and i crashed into a fence and needed 9 stiches in my ankle im 12 the bike was a 200 2 stroke

  • if you crashed it into a fence maybe you shouldn't have a 200 haha.

  • I have one had it for 3 years and starts everytime with one kick and runs the trails like there is no tomarrow!

  • i just got the same one

  • nice bike, how much did you pay for the bike? Thanks

  • $1800

  • 1800 is a little steep. ever considered a used ktm?

  • Every KTM I ever see is outta my price range. Plus I'm not really that big into KTM. Hondas are my favourite.

  • I want one off these bikes yours looks good

  • It's a good bike fur sure. Makes all my friends jelious on they're 125 2 stroke, 200 & 250 4 stroke when I pass em on the road doing a buck 140 kmh

  • i got a 1994 it rips... umm u should go with a gold series fmf pipe its better to me anyways.

  • im 5'4 could i fit

  • I'm about 5'7 and I fit good.

    It would be close.

My bro used to have to run his bike along side our porch to get on.

I'd be more concerned with the wait.

    Its a heavy bike!

if you drop it on a steep hill, shit its hard to pick up.

  • Yes i agree lol. im 15 and when i drop my kdx its a struggle to pick up.

  • what size? i can practically throw my 85 around lol. btw i just blow my head gasket on it. kinda sucks gunna get a 125 or 150 once i fix it

  • Its a kdx 200 but im getting a bit tougher from picking it up so damn much but its getting easier.

  • This bike looks VERY heavy...is it?

  • Yeh, its pretty heavey. Alot heaveier then a motocross bike. Especially a 2 stroke. I got on a RM 250 and it weighed about the same if not less then this bike.

  • man my dad used to have one think it was a 95 it fast as fuck he used to race his friend aaron he had xr450 or sum shiyt

  • the powervalve on the kdx is enouge to wake the dead.. i go riding with my m8 who has a 93 kdx 200 and its good fun but when u jump on my 01 yz 250 that thing flyes

  • Does the KDX have enough power to break the wheel loose in the powerband?

  • absolutely

  • Got da same bike! same year!

its probaly the ezyst bike to pop a wheelie

  • i got a 1991 kdx200 and i need some advice from someone who actually knows what they're talkin about. i have a problem with the kickstarter, it hardly ever catches and when it does u can only get about a half kick or less out of it. i have the kawasaki book for it but its not very helpful. anyone know what might be wrong before i go tearing it apart? i'm thinking either something's shot or the spring isn't splining the gears right.

  • Yo, my bike is the same. I figure when it goes I'll replace it. It still works for me.

  • sounds like my old yamaha rt 180

  • Looks like a decent bike. How much you think I could pick one up for?

  • Depends on how new you want. I payed $1750 for my 91. I saw a 01 going for $2400 i think. Either way, your getting a good bike, if your looking for an enduro bike. If your looking for for acceleration & speed but with more maintenance & costs, go for a 250 2 stroke. I rode a 250 and surprisingly its quite a bit lighter then this bike. Thats what I'm moving to next year.

  • Thats not bad, I found a MX 175 for 700 bucks, Figured I might pick that up for a toy, But I still want a KDx200, Just seems to be a generally reliable bike,

  • i got an 88' kdx200 a couple of months ago and if still tears em up out there, so i highly recommend one! i love mine XD

  • dude are you using full FMF exhaust system??

  • No man. Its just stock, lol. I'm looking to possibly get a pro curcuit or fmf fatty pipe.

  • i m not sure about pro circuit but fmf rocks for me. i'm using fmf gold series.

  • Pro Circuits sound really nice.

  • Yeh, I wanna get a pro circuit fatty pipe so bad.

  • Oh they sound really nice.

  • Hey, do you by chance know what kind of gas mileage you get on the trails? How does this compare to a YZ 250F in terms of mileage?

  • Sorry man I can't really help. I know that i get better mileage fur sur then a motocross 2 stroke. The 250 4 stroke im not sure. To me my bike eats gas but thats because the bike i had a few years ago was a 80 4 stroke, its sipped it, lol. Keep in mind you have to buy oil to mix also. I get close or a bit more then 120 miles on a 12 litre full tank of gas.

  • like the bike i gota 94' they rip!!

  • nice bike, sounds new , def get a new body kit that looks mad old ha but get an fmf gold series and shorty 2, much better combo than just one pro circuit

  • great bike man! beautiful sound and look

  • nice bike and i got first comment and first rate

  • thxs man! u ride?

  • yeh i ride ;] kx 85 lol tis mi first =\

  • Nice! what year? I started out a bit smaller on an honda xr80 4-stroke. But I've always wanted 2 ride 2-strokes seeing my old bro when I was a youngin :P I'm still an old school guy. I'll drive 2s my whole life.

  • lol its 2005 i think =\
