sionado en ciertos roles que no eran a fin a su cuerda, si bien era una Mezzo, pero no

una Mezzo dramatica; ella era una Mezzo mas BellCantista.; pero ciertos roles, co-

mo Santuzza, le hiban dramaticamente muy bien ¡¡¡Pero No Todos!!!. Aunque en

ralidad, reconozcamos, Fue De Las Mejores y Una Artista Exelente.

@55werther no estoy de acuerdo. Como mezzo belcantista (considerando pero que en esa epoca todavia no estaban Berganza, Horne y todas las muchas que ahora tenemos) siempre me ha parecido con fallas, oyes su Rosina, su Adalgisa, su Isabella, su Cenerentola, su Arsace.....Su coloratura para la epoca podria parecer mas o menos buena, ahora seria muy poco aceptable. Mientras como Azucena, Santuzza, Amneris etc etc todavia es un ejemplo casi insuperable para las mezzos dramaticas!

Funny. Simionato played both roles here! She was also Mamma Lucia, in 1940 VICTOR, directed by Mascagni. Simionato...the best Mamma Lucia ever!
