  • Is anyone knows another remix of Satie's Gnossienne n 1? Have heard awesome one about 5-8 years ago and still can't recognize it :( Help me please.

  • i heard this in the car with my mom when i were a little kid. brings back so many memmories

  • rubbish idea , and a rubbish result

  • it;s a great remix-

shame some of these awesome pieces stop

    so suddenly. Nice work anyhow.

  • :)

  • PERFEKT !!! Divine music..

  • Is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • est part is when the bass comes ;D

  • Its an honest attempt though.....not fancy.

    Appropriate...

We all can be flamboyant about what we already know....lets try being modest towards what we are acquiring.

  • nice to hear...but there is version of satie´s gnosienne No 1

just played with some violine but Ican´t find here in youtube..

I think its from claude challup....does anyone knows this?

  • @stofflestoff maybe Claude Chalhoub who made this version /watch?v=6evYEX93Anw

  • works fine for me...

  • wow this is quite authentic! :)

  • great

  • hypnotizing.

  • This sound follows me everywhere i go...... cuz during one of my trip it was playing it in the plane (brusselairlines fly)

    nice song....

  • some of the very best chill-out music, i've heard this album before.

  • chocolat 2000 :D:D:D:D:D

  • è sublime <3

  • questa canzone mi rilassa...

  • I really like this song!

  • The harmonies on this are all wrong and rob the song of everything good about it. It's not supposed to be a comfortable tune!

  • in french, cela s'appelle de la dissonance

it seems very simple, but very complicated to realise in fact

  • exactly , but i think he did a great job turning it into a completely relaxing tune !

  • Sounds quite nice actually

  • Butchered

  • No... it doesn't work.

It has nothing to do with the original song except the notes, but with this whizzy chill-out synth sounds and indian vocal patterns (what the hell?) it's just empty and soulless for me, and kills that mystical atmosphere what the original is all about.

If you liked this song - and if you didn't... ;) - you should check out the original, piano version.

  • My favourite is Gymnopedie No. 3!

  • I do not agree.

  • So what?

  • i'm french, and i love satie.... and i like this mix of buddha bar, a french bar in paris wich makes so lovly chill compilations

are you more purist than french people ?

  • have no idea, but simply cant stand this fusion

  • noone can be more purist than french peopel eheh :)

  • actually the french became purists influenced by japanese culture in the early 20th century.

  • thank you for informations..

  • @shivayavoda I'm complete agree with you, doesn't work... but well...

  • @shivayavoda nice words, from me to you respect for admirimg the way things are , and i agree so much with you on this one, the complete essence of satie is screwed up badly with this major flop, . a pitty cuz the gnossiene is a truly beautifull session , infact in my opinion its one of the best compositions in his collection.

bless you , and respect for the guts to say what you did about this music.

  • @shivayavoda come on dude its a really nice work

  • @shivayavoda This remix presents a different concept. It merely borrows the notes from Gnossienne 1. Nevertheless, I think it works :)

  • @shivayavoda this is something ... completely different. ... almost impossible to compare with original. Anyway, it's great. Pity it's not full.

  • That sounds amazing...beautiful

  • beatiful..erik satie had to be interesting human..propably : ) and its really nice in this buddha bar version..

  • It works!!!

  • Beautiful song.

  • This one is very beautiful

  • the best one.

  • ...mmmhmmmm...

  • great to see eletronics and modern reverberation with old school classic.

  • nice song=)
