@Tigerpuffer wrong again, dicksmack. the first tune i heard from pj after ten was leash. it was a cover tune chad gray introduced me to when he wanted to cover it back in '94. It took a while but it eventually grew on me. Vs. bit the big one. that's when they pedaled the 12" vinyl back in '95. nothing on it stood out. Besides AIC and Soundgarden, every seattle grunge band couldn't seem to outwrite the success of their debuts. they call it the sophomore jinx. try not to be such a tool.

I don't even dare to compare Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. For me, these are the most infuencial bands in the whole 90's. And thank God there were/are bands like this! Bu I don't understand people who write sth like 'AiC>PJ'. Have you gone mad people? Of course these two bands are different in music, lyrics, vocals... There is nothing to compare.
