They can all advertise and shit allover each other or if none of these companies can advertise then no company is made better than another due to spending on advertising or from increasing revenue due to advertising.
Nobody needs ads... I have no sympathy for those people he describes at the beginning. I hope that all their inventions collapse on their heads and start on fire.
@KRA3030 i wonder what life would be like if they took all that money they waste on ads, and pushed it towards making their products better? maybe their sales would go up if their products didn't suck, right?
he does not understand the relationship between new advertising and the internet, there is a blatant reference to internet culture in that McDonald's ad
if anyone here is in marketing or advertising...kill yourself. Thank you. Just planting seeds, planting seeds is all I'm doing. No joke here, really. Seriously, kill yourself, you have no rationalisation for what you do, you are Satan's little helpers. Kill yourself, Seriously, I know the marketing people: 'There's gonna be a joke comin' up.' There's no fuckin' joke. Suck a tail pipe, hang yourself...borrow a pistol from an NRA buddy, do something...rid the world of your evil fuckin' presence
@poerik The fault lies with the peons who buy into ads, not those who create and profit from them. Everyone needs a niche, and for some that means taking advantage of ignorance. Now if only we could allow darwinism to work things out...
i don't get how advertising works in video games. i mean, i never get affected by it (and get annoyed instead), so i think ads in games is pretty much shooting in the sky ( you wont know if the bullet will hit the right spot) and it's pretty moot, in my opinion.
Game designers had better be careful. If I feel like I'm being marketed to too much, I'll refuse to play the game. I suspect many other people feel the same way.
@bradwatson7324 If I feel I'm being marketed at all for a game that i already paid for I'll make a note never to buy from that cheap ass developer again.
But if the game's free, don't matter. They gotta make money somehow.
great strategy .. thanks for posting .. =)

The full program is 2 hours long but man it is really great. The guy could do stand-up comedy if he wanted to. It's also highly thought provoking..

For the gmailers who're creeped out by that, get "gmail 2.0" - no ads and I find it prettier. To each their own though.

It's simply game theory.

Wow, the cost of capitalism is SOOOO high. Some images all around you that you don't have to pay attention to if you don't want to.
So scary.

@S0chan Good word bro.
It's like that one episode of the Simpsons "Just don't look. Just don't look."

The Fora TV brand is burned into my brain...and the google adsense ads below at just sold me a new diploma online.

Downvote if you are also demanding ForaTV to post full videos here. (instead of using youtube to generate visits to their website)
