I Recently got a pet polecat and its brilliant, Reminds me a lot of the ferret my dad used to have. Its like a ninja when it bounces around the house. The only problem is ive also got a cocker spaniel which sees the Polecat as food so need to keep them seperated.

you mean they can actually be taken from the wild and tamed??? that's odd, cause in my country the wild ones are killed cause they kill chickens and bite people that try to play with them or scare them away

Apart from artificially bred characteristics of the Ferret they're identical and essentially the same species biologically and anatomically, just like Dogs descended from Wolves Ferrets descended from Polecats.

the difference is that polecats aren't domesticated and can survive in the wild. ferrets can't survive in the wild and are domesticated.
