I'm in art school, and hands have been a trouble for me ever since I could remember. What's helped me most is learning the bones of the hand and looking at the spaces between the fingers. They're tough because they can look so different from any angle, but it gets better with patience and practice. :)

I think hands are easy, you can look at two good examples at the end of your arms.

@animeguitarfreak because it is important for the biginer to practice it. while u practicing that guideline u think it easy to draw because u follow the guideline.

xD lmaoo.. At the beginning of the video, I was like.. ".. Why's he drawing a square?" ( The sound wasn't turned on ) And yes.. :) I'm actually quite proud of my drawings, because I can get the porportions down.. But then once I get to the hands.. I kinda wing it and it looks messy/sketchy, so I fool others into thinking it looks proffessional when it's really not.

@MonkeyCowsCanFly Keep trying the only way to go is up. I stink at hands so I practice at times in my drawings, but usly I put them in a place u can't see them (pockets, behind the head, etc...)

@silentninja102 same thing here. My friends always ask were the persons hands are or why i never draw them and i say the same thing over and over. I can't draw the hands so i hide my faileurness, like you said, in the pokets or beinde the head etc...

That is why he explains how to draw hands separatedly like the rest of the human parts, so that way when you done to improve your drawing skills you can incorporate the hand in the rest of the drawing that you wanna do.
