@JAWchannel Gravity is a theory. A scientific theory is a set of mathematical predictions (In the case of physics) that govern a natural occurrence. It's called Newton's Law of Gravitation because his equations predict the effects of gravity, not gravity itself. We still only have theories on the exact mechanics of gravity.

A fact is something that we can see, a hypothesis is something that explains that fact, and a theory is a hypothesis that has been tested so many times with reliable results that it's beyond reasonable doubt. The big bang is a theory in the same way gravity is a theory. Religion on the other hand is a hypothesis as there has never been any evidence, beyond fallacious logic, that there is a higher power.

@lcaf1 Honestly, the term religion has been so misused. Not cool to see it to tag a closed mindset. Religion comes from religare (imo), which is some sort of re-unite/unite again or even a tie. In the context of creationism the most reasonable "religare" is with the creator. But for a physician the Big Bang, the origin of things can be their very religious motive, since it was the spawn of everything and the cause of every natural law discovered

@sylvieis Having faith, doesn't nessisarly mean you have to believe in God or religion, but just to HAVE faith and knowing who and what you are is power too. Having faith in oneself and others and in the nature of life. I have found that when you are looking for something regarding this, it is like looking for something you already have. Acceptance of self is what you should be doing rather than searching I believe. You do not have to believe in God to know your own power ;)
