Through her influence and others like her, I am involved in working with young school children in teaching them African music by deriving content from our rich African indigenous culture. But, the theory of "cultural aids" did not begin with foreigners. Our "protective cultural membrane" was weakened centuries ago from INSIDE of Africa which made it easy for foreigners (cultural antigens) to invade and conquer us. What weakened our cultural immune system to begin with?
That is the question that we must explore and answer.
Only AFRICAN culture can cultivate Africans.
