You have to be kidding guys, you have offensive, defensive and special teams, your players probably run an average of 1 mile a game and you wear heaps of padding. We have 18 per team on the field, our field is heaps bigger, we only have 4 people to interchange with, if someone gets injured thats it, no substitutes, they wear no padding and average around 10-15mile per games some a lot more, and that isnt at a jogging pace. No sport on the planet beats Aussie Rules Football, NFL is just ok
@1979ziggler - I have started playing NFL footy after 10 years of AFL. Sounds like you don't understand the Game nor never played. After playing both codes, NFL is a much harder game in tactics and skill. Also the reason you wear helmets and pads is because the hits are real, compared to the softness of AFL. I have never been hit so hard, so many times in NFL from all directions. It is a much tougher game, than being a greyhound running around all day on an AFL ground. Can't compare the 2 games.

@MaZoBoxinG it wont be the same... i played college ball here in the states and it never compared to highscool... kids i grew up with and loved as brothers. when i was a jr we were ranked 13th in the nation... and that didnt matter... we were all there for each other. playing a game of football with some friends against some people you know is not what gives you the feel. what makes it so special is looking in the eyes of kids you sweat and bled with and knowing its never going to happen again.

Highschool football in my town is like the holygrail in the fall, my summer vacation lasts one month, thats when i can party, after the 4th of july its go time baby, we lift and run for 2 hours, we push our selfs to please the crowd, our coaches and our school, its definently worth it, even as a freshman we push our selfs to be the best we can, if you puke we dont care we cheer you on because your working hard, football is fall in my town and im glad to represent it

High school football is by far the best. So much emotion and time, but especially hard work is put into it.For all of you people who think its a sport that you can play without any conditioning or hardening, your wrong. I have spent my entire summer just to prepare for a 12 game season.

You have to be kidding guys, you have offensive, defensive and special teams, your players probably run an average of 1 mile a game and you wear heaps of padding. We have 18 per team on the field, our field is heaps bigger, we only have 4 people to interchange with, if someone gets injured thats it, no substitutes, they wear no padding and average around 10-15mile per games some a lot more, and that isnt at a jogging pace. No sport on the planet beats Aussie Rules Football, NFL is just ok

@1979ziggler - I have started playing NFL footy after 10 years of AFL. Sounds like you don't understand the Game nor never played. After playing both codes, NFL is a much harder game in tactics and skill. Also the reason you wear helmets and pads is because the hits are real, compared to the softness of AFL. I have never been hit so hard, so many times in NFL from all directions. It is a much tougher game, than being a greyhound running around all day on an AFL ground. Can't compare the 2 games.
