Or he could also be stuck behind the throne with mundus coming back talking bout his son or whatnot. Sparda also could've lent powers to Dante in the fight with mundus this of course could be in both paths. Either of these could be appropriate endings to his story or could be duel endings(if he ever gets one). Maybe sparda, while on the road of saving mankind,could have a good or bad ending, with either of these coresponding to ur actions(continued)

Well to the comments below me bout sparda, one possible theory could be that maybe, either through weakness or a deal, sparda sacrificed himself for his children and wife, so mundus had him imprisoned. One could say behind Mundus's throne. When Dante defeated mundus, Sparda was able to muster enough power to escape from the throne (continued)

@devilmaycry123ify If you mean the guy in the purple coat, then yes. If you play in Legendary Dark Knight mode, that's what Dante ends up looking like. Since he's meant to be replaced by Sparda... that means that is indeed his human form.

Oddly, he uses Yamato instead of a powered up "Sparda" sword.

I'm still kinda confused on how he could lose all of his demonic power OVER 2000 YEARS AGO and still be alive to have two sons who seem to be only in their twenties in DMC3. Does he keep his youth even after losing his power or is it kind of a loop hole never properly filled?
