  • Great lesson, I agree with what Getsmart said a week ago. Around about 4.20 you play the right notes but miss out the full explanation. You say 12 on "E" then 12 on "B". Tried it - did'nt sound good. I'm sure I'll figure it out ( one day ). many thanks for a great lesson which I'll watch over and over.

  • i started waching but it got complicated i prefer tabature for this song

  • After he plays the D note in the 10th fret, he then does a bend and pull of on the G string in the 12th fret and then plays a G note in the 12th fret. After this G note (G string, 12th fret), then do a 10th fret back to the 12th fret on the G string (these are the 2 notes he inadvertently left out). Then you can move on to the hammer on / pull off on the G string in the 12th. Believe me, guitarmagic3000 is way better than I am on the guitar and I am sure he didn't mean to leave out the notes.

  • thanks man but next time slower and actually show what you are doing ?

  • @deathincarnated1 Did you watch the entire video? After he plays the intro at regular speed, he then goes note by note on how to play it.

  • Just an excellent lesson. I can't give you any guitar help in return, but if you're ever in Southern Cal, I got a whitewater raft trip with your name on it. Danny

  • very nice work, great playing and explanation, thanks man !

  • If it's standard tuning why does the bend sound weird when I do it!???

  • Standard tuning

  • He said E but ment G

  • Can someone tell us the tuning? I thought this song was played with tuning dadfad? But not in this tutorial?

  • for the melody @;23 he plays a subtle octave above on the E string. great lesson

  • at 2;18 you say this is all done on the E string? and your playing the g string? different tuning maybe?

  • this is sick man,

  • keep working at it your getting there

  • Thanks guitarmagic. You have provided a lesson that is clear and explicit and patiently reviews the nuances of the song. You have found the right combination of demostration and review that makes it easy to learn from. Please send us some more lessons so we can keep learning from you!

  • @wjc375 thank you i will try . this was my first.

  • @wjc375 have you tabbed this out yet ? and is it available I have not found any other that is accurate like yours !

  • Great lesson buddy....! Do you have the tabs?

  • thanks, a little unclear about what your trying to say in the begining of the *solo*part

  • wish i can play like you...oh wait second thought i wish i could PLAY

  • he deleted my comment BITCH and i can play guitar

  • Good job! Thank you for teaching.

  • Really appreciate this. I'm kind of embarrassed to say how long I've been working on this, but your lesson is on the money and I'm wearing down the mountain, one axe stroke at a time. Danny

  • dude your so good at this song

  • Ur badass man very very helpful

  • @FreakForBlackSabbath THANK YOU !1

  • sound is basic. neck , humbucker neck pickup, tube amp distortion tone .. line 6 pod make a good amp tone preamp.

  • how do I tune my EG to sound like that? is it a specific setting on the amp + guitar or are you using a filter or compressor or wah wah pedal or multi fx?? Thanks!! Love your video

  • i made mistake . i play correct fret but say the wrong.. go by what you see me play, sorry.

  • I'm following up to 4:28.

Then it LOOKS like its bend B 13, then a 13 pull off to 10 on E?

But it sounds more like 12 pull off to 10 on E? Or maybe not even that? Its too fast to see and its not quite sounding the same when I play it..

  • that was awesome thx

  • thank you, it was my first lesson. you learn the solo, then focus on the unique melodic santana vibe.

  • thank you, it was my first lesson.

  • Thanx for going to the trouble of putting this up, learned heaps!!
