@streakization More like, his eyes turned green because of the whole Super Sonic thing, I think most official Super Sonic art has the green eye thing going on. Just like -EVERY OTHER JAPANESE BORN CHARACTER THAT GOES SUPER-. The color just stuck after a while, which might explain in part of his increasing abilities as the games go on.

@KainPyrotic That might explain Sonic's eyes, but that never explained Tails and Knuckles's eyes, right? I mean of course that's a nice concept to think about...but it still leaves so many questions un-answered. I just think they changed it to change it as games got more advanced.

@streakization That's a poor man's plot device, it works, but doesn't add flavor to the characters. Tails only went Super once (Aren't his eyes blue?), but Knuckles, being around the Master Emerald all the time, who knows how many times he's actually used the transformation or any type of Emerald power? Actually, for that matter, Tails has experimented a lot on the Emeralds with machinery, which could explain why blue not green.
