ok yall you can not bye an egg from the store and expeckt it to hatch so bye from me or online i only rase sterton breeds like rohde island reds i sell egg layers you can allso bye eggs that are for your frige to ok thanks yall
@JLglossygirl lol your probably a beginner so i'll go easy on you!!! dont incubate eggs from the grocery store!!! they are not fertile, that means that a hen didnt mate with a rooster to have it, so there is no baby inside. its called "infertile". they wont hatch no matter what you do. even if you DO buy fertile eggs from the market, still dont incubate them because they are old and have been refrigerated. if you want eggs, buy fertile eggs online, or get fertile eggs from your hens!!!
No, come on people. You can't purchase the eggs from a grocery store and expect to hatch them. The incubator doesn't replace the rooster. The male chicken fertilizers the egg. You mst have a male chicken. Lots of farms sell the eggs for you to use, just ask to make sure they are fertile.
well you could, but the thing is that it would be pot luck, like were they fertilized? or have they been in destructive atmospheres? its down to chance
@59catz incubators replace the hen sitting on the eggs, not the rooster. the rooster is important, it fertilizes eggs layed by the hen. i dont really want to go into detail on HOW that happens ;P but you gotta have the rooster. with you having chickens you should probably have known that......
hey where did you get the battery powered thermometer? Did you have to pick it up at a specialty store like a reptile store or is that something I can find at a walmart? Also how much did it cost?
Hello
Nice video...
I've just started a website about incubators. (eggincubators.everydex.com)
I should really like if you would add yours to the website.
You just have to register, just a name and email to prevent spam, and answer some questions.
It's also possible to embedd your youtube video, so more people can watch it!
thanks in advance
Pat
