That was the best male voice, it does have a real midevil style. It's crazy how so many sing this song with no style at all and many hardly concentrate on the notes and instead just say the words.

This is Actually A B-side to Rage for Order.However it was never released so they Released at the time of Empire.I like the one with Tate and his Old Band MYTH.

I owned Empire too, on a record. I'm a huge fan of Queensryche - and just HAD to have the CDs a couple years ago, and went out and bought the box set. I'd never heard the song Scarborough Fair done by them until then. Wasn't a huge fan of the song until I heard it performed this way! My kids teased me for including it in my Christmas show (oh, yes - this is my house) because it's not a Christmas song. I argued that it is when accompanied by Christmas lights! :-)

The only reason I knew that is I was in Radio when that it came out as a B-side for Jet City woman. I owned Empire at the time and that cut was not included. I love that version of the song. Big fan of Queensryche. So Danielle, is that your house in the video?

It was not Empire.  This was B-side exclusively to radio stations at the time Empire was out. It may have been later released in a compilation set.

My apologies here! I have the compilation set, and it's on my Empire CD from there. However, I did check on Amazon to find out if the regular CD has the song on there, and they do on the remastered CD. So, thank you Cololoanman for pointing that out! mr6uldv8 - if you are planning to buy the CD, please make sure the song is on the version you are picking up!

It was released as the B side (second Track on the CD single) of the European version of Empire.  I bought one back in the early 90's. I've loved it ever since.

Well, thanks for the update. I knew it from my Radio days as a B-side only released to Radio stations. I had no idea that they had a different version of Empire in Europe. That is interesting and a nice new nugget of knowledge. No matter where it came from I love this song. And Danielle, great job on the house lights. Christmas song or not it is way cool!!!
