And yet nintendo is beating both sony and microsoft so nintendo wins the console war with an impresive 71.6 million wii sales compaired to microsofts 40.2 million xbox 360 sales and sonys 35.3 million ps3 sales. but neither the 360 or ps3 is bad (I own a wii and 360 myself) they just can't sell as much as the wii and the main reason for that is nintendo's advertising which is on nearly every add break and in comparison I hardly ever see a 360 or ps3 ad. so this console war is nintendos.

@daveodanger dude marketing covers interenet ads as well as pricing, so the campaign is better with nintendo and seen as the core market for the mosenser controlers are families tv is the best place to adevertise. and it's affordbility which is the main issue here people aren't going to pay over £200 for a controler when they just paid that for the console are they? on top of that most of the e3 kinect demos were coriographed and I've heared negative reviews so I wouldn't say microsoft have won
@daveodanger the wii is awesome and as I said kinect has problems with spech recognition and movement recognition. microsoft has a new black box who cares it's not that much better than the old one and the removal of memory unit slots is a huge problem if you used memory units to back up your data and don't have a pen drive or memory stick before your obsolete model dies. and on top of that 30 million sales is a lot to gain so microsoft will have a hard time.
