Working with anything and everything from Burmese Pythons to Taipans, I would say that the absolute stupidest thing to do is grab it by its tail. An Inland Taipan will turn in a blink of an eye and tag you.... You could drag a big Burmese out from somewhere just to "get it out", but be sure to move backwards at the same time and do NOT try to subdue it this way.
