Exactly 1 year ago from today people were complaining about sniping. 1 year later people moved to complaining about something else now that MW3 came around. Someone will always be complaining no matter what. There is no "REAL" sniping. It is simply a preference. It depends on how you want to play the game. No one is making you do anything. If people spent half the time they did whining instead trying to get better, they wouldn't be whining anymore...

If a sniper absolutely had to, he would. He wouldn't look down the scope, but you certainly could shoot someone close range with a sniper rifle. I really don't believe that anyone thinks it's realistic.

That is a quote from my earlier comment. And yes, I know that you have to adjust to see the crosshairs. I live in Iowa. No shortage of firearms. I just don't think "hipfire" is the right way to describe what you would do. Pulling out a sidearm in a life or death situation when you have a perfectly good rifle in your hands...
