  • I love how "Tuvok" gets absolutely wrecked by having a saddle thrown at him.

  • Tim Russ was supposed to be jordi but later they chose levar burten

  • Had that actually been Tuvok Picard would have been fucked.

  • Picard owned him lmao

  • Why the hell isn't there a video of Tuvok saying "sensors" from just about every time he says it? What do I have youtube's URL memorized for?

  • awesome how he Picard uses the vulcan pinch on a soon to be vulcan.

  • Nothing can beat Patrick fucking Stewart

  • Wow, and here I thought he was just in Generations (Enterprise B scene)

  • We ain't found shit!

  • Detective Jean-Luc Picard spends another miserable Christmas on a starship. But he didn't count on terrorists hijacking his ship, and they didn't count on HIM. "Yippie-kay motherfucker!!!"

  • @gothatway09

I thought I was the only one who saw this as the Star Trek version of Die Hard!!!

  • Never thought and fight between tuvoc and picard would end with tuvoc getting the vulcan neck pinch XD

  • At the end when the lights go out, the computer says "Holodeck simulation >Fuck USS Voyager< ended!"

  • I guess Picard DOES know how to fight after all.

  • In soviet russia picard vulcan death grips you.

  • where are my TNG-dvds? :-)

  • This is why TNG will always be superior to Voyager :P

  • What episode is this from?

  • Picard is a human, is not much stronger than a vulcan, but is a wiseguy and in the fight he used the force of Tuvok with wisdom.

  • @Gedal First: learn your grammar Second: this isn't Tuvok, just the actor who plays him. In this one he's NOT a Vulcan.

  • Well by this time in the series, Capt Picard had already mind melded with Spock's father Sarek so I guess in that meld he received the know-how for a Vulcan neck pinch! Makes sense!!!

  • No...excuse you!

  • This episode was pretty much "Die Hard on a Starship."

  • @YesWeCantaloupe

More like "Home Alone on a Starship".

  • The nerve pinch? Which one's the Vulcan here?

  • @UncleMikeNJ Neither. It's the actor who later played Tuvok, but a different character.

  • Tim Russ before he was famous. In my opinion, his best role is still the Principle in "I-Carly".

  • Picard has been acting out too many of Chuck Norris's Texas Ranger Holodeck programs.

  • I hate Picard doing the Vulcan nerve pinch. This is one of the bad episodes. Die Hard in space.

  • @Trekfreek

Umm... he can do it only because of having had a mind-meld with Sarek, thus gaining the ability.

Not to sound like a geek or anything.

  • @tripwire99 Nope, try again. Spock had mind melded with McCoy and when he tried it nothing happened. As Nemoy described the nerve pinch in 1982 Vulcans can control their biological electricity. By sending a specific wave of electrical current into a humans body at a tender point like the neck it nocks out a subject. Humans don't have that ability. Again, bad episode.

  • @Trekfreek

I was just offering an explanation as to how it could be feasible that Picard would be able to do it.

  • @tripwire99 And I busted it wide open. Sorry. I guess I'm just too big of a Trek nerd.

  • @Trekfreek Dude, it's not real. The shows aren't even close to consistent so give up.

  • Comment removed

  • @Trekfreek I'd argue that the "explanation" of how the nerve pinch works is what's bad. It's quite convoluted. Did Nimoy the actor, or Spock the character provide this explanation? Either way, it's just stupid and clearly best left forgotten.

  • @tml4873 Argue all you want, but it is Nemoy who invented the neck pinch and the explanation on how it works and it is logical, not bad. Vulcans are aliens that look like us; just like Time Lords, Betazeds, and Lt. Barkly. But looking like us does not mean they are us. Time Lords can hypnotize people by looking at them, Betazeds can read minds, and Barkly is part spider. So yes it is possible for an alien to have the ability to shoot biological electricity out of their fingers.

  • @Trekfreek You talk like this stuff is real. When you're talking about fiction, it doesn't matter who "invented" it (though it would be nice if you could spell his name correctly). It's either plausible, or not. Vulcans being aliens (who somehow are able to breed with humans, how does that work exactly?) does not explain away anything. Then you just list a bunch of other sci-fi things that are really stupid, as if the shared stupidity justifies them all, rather than condemns them all.

  • @tml4873 It would help if he pronounced it the way it is spelled. Phonetically Nemoy is correct; otherwise it is “Knights who say Ni”-moy. You talk like a stick in the mud. Lighten up it is all for fun. Stupid? Have you ever watched Doctor Who, or the TNG episode where Lt. Barkly de-evolves? No? Then you don't know what you’re talking about. Take the bug out of your ass and have some fun!

  • HUmans cant perform the vulcan nerve pinch we're not strong enough. and I had no Idea the guy that played tuvok was in Next Gen.

  • @TheBuddhaFist

Tim Russ also played a bridge officer in the Star Trek Generations movie, a klingon in in the second season of DS9 and the Tuvok from the mirror universe in a third season episode of DS9.

  • @minitrapper Thats awsome. Ill have to add some special rule for him in my star trek drinking game. as it stands right now, you do a shot when: you hear "red alert" or "evasive manuevers",you hear "engage",phaser rifles are used, transporter malfunctions, some one says "recalibrate" or "remodulate", when holidecks are used for something besides entertainment, and any cross series cameos. Ive gotta come up with some special rule for Tim Russ.

  • The actor who plays Tuvok was also a superhacker on SeaQuest.

  • what episode is this

  • Tuvok has shown up in DS9 once as well, in the parallel universe

  • Should have played the "Whoop that Trick" song.I didn't too much like Tuvok anyway. HAIL PICARD PROFESSIONAL ASSKICKER!!!!

  • heh, tuvok has had atleast 4 different characters on startrek, tuvok, the dude in this, another pirate char on ds9 (not the mirror, that was tuvok), and a starfleet officer in generations.

  • Is Picard wearing jeggings??

  • Even if he was a Vulcan....Picard can kick their asses, nausicaans asses, klingons asses....need I say more?

  • @doggbrown1 The only person Picard couldn't handle was an aging scientist.

  • @fjccommish who would that be? lol. hmmmm

  • @doggbrown1 I never understood why Picard could handle Klingons in hand to hand combat, but he couldn't handle Dr. Soran.

  • @fjccommish Do you remember what season or movie that was from? I gotta see that.

  • @doggbrown1 Generations. Picard had to find Kirk so he could take care of Soran. Soran beat up Picard when he tried to get to the launcher.

  • @fjccommish Ahhh thanks. :D

  • we should learn the vulcan neck pinch.

  • dam forget about vulcans superior strength and combat ability why dont you i guess picard is related to superman or some shit

  • "I better let you finish so you can get off the ship." Translation; "Finish your shit, darkie, and get the hell off my ship. Try not to steal anything on your way out." And then, when the friendly, helpful worker politely wants to show Picard his cool plasma torch, Picard wails on the poor guy. What an asshole.

  • It's surprising how many main characters have first appeared as extras on previous series :-) I believe the female changeling on DS9 first appeared in TNG

  • Nice spandex ass Picard!

  • You know, this is the one "fight scene" that didn't look so horribly choreographed.

...Actually, might be more, but i honestly can't remember anything that wasn't laughably bad. This was pretty fucking cool.

  • @BeamYosho I can't think of any fight scene on TREK that looked awful unless you're talking about the ones on Voyager or the Gorn fight with Kirk in the original one, LOL.

But I agree that this has to be the best one hands down followed by any fight with Worf.

  • Nevermind that Vulcans are supposed to be stronger than humans...

  • @Energyone He's not a vulcan in this episode - just the same actor playing another role.

  • @DracIsBack Well Picard has beat up Klingons before, most species in star trek are humans or "near-humans" like the star wars classifications, I would say the most purly human ones are def Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans, (Klingon evolved to be stronger) used to not have head ridges and tons of others i cant list, I would define human as having moderate-little body hair and no facial features or characteristic/internal functions that would give them away as a "near-human" Like Trill, the spots

  • @DracIsBack So, his ears are naturally kind of pointy?

  • @DracIsBack Then why are his ears pointy and his incessant need to enunciate?

  • @nitramletnan I guess that's how to actor looks and acts. :-)

  • @DracIsBack indeed, he acted the same way when he had a part in ST Generations aboard the enterpise B.

  • @DracIsBack

hilarious.. btw his ears while they seem a bit pointy, are round at the top if you look carefully. Whereas normally ie when a vulcan, his ears are really fake at the top and really pointy.

  • @nitramletnan - His ears are that way in person. In Voyager, the points are far more pronounced and much more obviously Vulcan. I've met Tim Russ at a Convention.

  • @nitramletnan He's an articulate Romulan?

  • @nitramletnan

His ears aren't pointy, and he's acting like mad Tuvok.

  • @Energyone It was was picard. Would Vulcan strength have mattered.

  • @Energyone dude its Picard

  • @Energyone Keep in mind, Picard is no average human.

  • @Energyone Technique is more important than strength when it comes to hand-to-hand combat.

  • Called "Starship Mine."

  • Wait what episode is this!?!? and techinicly no human is suppose to be able to do that pinch!?!? accept for archer when he had a vulcan katra in his head

  • @Damious100 I remember reading somewhere that Picard can do the vulcan nerve pinch from that crazy mind meld with Sarek.

  • @Phrakked Ah forgot about that good point :)

  • @Phrakked

The "pinch" was orignated by Leonard Nimoy (Spock) that found it a way more friendly approach. To disable a foe in the original series. This due to enhance it's character, in a more friendly way, rather then using real fighting and such.

  • @Damious100 Starship Mine

  • @Damious100 6x18 "Starship Mine".

  • Way to go Picard! For a guy his age he can sure move. Nice sleeper hold.

  • @Gordontrek Hammerlock

  • Yeah, the Vulcan neck pinch! Picard's coolness just jumped up a few notches. :)

  • @BrightFire1439 Picard has ALWAYS had sufficient coolness factor to counter most fail moments he has. Failing the coolness roll, his often overlooked bad-ass quotient enables him to pass the Captain of the Enterprise check, granting him the power of Kirk, and manifest victory out of defeat. Note: should Writers Block be in play, the player must sacrifice either Best Friend, or Enterprise; N/A if player is Kirk. Useable at any point in the timeline, stacking bonus if player is Kirk.

  • @BrightFire1439 like that would be possible:)

  • @BrightFire1439 Ironic he used it on a vulcan...

  • Funny how he uses a sleeper move on him, kinda like the vulcan one
