Its a dm and one guy runs out of food... the ags' specialty is the ability to end a fight incredibly quickly, not for drawn out situations. The vls is ideal for the dm situation. But the vls degrades unbelievably fast in that situation. Ags is forever. That puts it over the top of the vls in the end.

VLS OWNZ AGS CAUSE OF SPEED AND SPEC BAR ags CAN do more damage in one spec,yes. But VLS can spec 2times within the amount of time it takes for AGS 2 hit once and it can do nearly the same amount of damage it just only lasts 1h. so yeah... if it wasnt for that ags wuld win
