No I didn't ask any questions. My brother is Iain Grey the 'other Ian' featured in the documentary. I haven't seen him for ages and was shocked to see him in the film being interviewed. He was the only one to answer an ad in the music press which Ian Curtis had put in in 1977/8 asking for a bass player.
Totally agree with you there! I thought it was absolutely brilliant, beautiful, powerful and utterly moving. Yes 24HPP and Control are great films but this doc just throws them out the window really. Was well worth travelling half the country to see. Shame there were only 4 other people in the theatre>:(!
What short memories people have, late 70s-80s early 90s, now its all britney and op idol, music has gone backwards. Long live factory and the Hacienda.
Go and see it! So moving and evocative! I saw it last night at the Cornerhouse in Manchester with a question and answer session with Steven Morris, Jon Savage and John Robb. One of my best nights out ever.
