Level-D add-on is awesome!

More so when use in conjunction with another voice control addon called "Multi Crew Experience"(for which you can download a free demo). Just give voice commands, and the virtual co-pilot executes. In addition, you can talk to native FSX or FS9 ATC or even radar Contact ATC using your headset.

when u were entering the route, "KSFOKLAX"

then u posted it in the coroute and then set the runway # then press activate and then the execute button, i did the same but when i press the activate bullet, it does not do anything. the execute button does not light up.

KSFOKLAX is a route that I created in FSbuild flight planning program, it saved it as KSFOKLAX. If you don't have a route programmed in that name, it won't work. Basically I was typing the name of the file that my plan was saved as. You have to do this as well, OR enter the route manually in the FMC by entering the From and To airports and the runway, then press Exec. You will then have to put in the route points in the legs page.

Yes you can do that within the simulator. Or just use an outside flight planning program to do it. But you're right, it's just the title of the flightplan file I'm using here.

@manbird12000 One should not post 'Level D' for anything that has to do with FS. Level for the FAA means amongst other things that the pilot can be blinded by the sun(simulated in FS) and 6 degrees of freedom motion rig(this FS does not simulate or PIC767 anyway)

Very nice and helpfull video! But some questions:

1.: I'm using the Level D checklists, and by the turns on them, I should switch the demand hydraulic pumps to auto in the before start checklist. You turned them to auto after start, are you using different checklists?

2.: Isnt the APU bleed switch left always on on normal operations?

3.: Are you using André Folkers VC modifications?

I swapped the audio file for 'cabin secured' default sound that comes with leveld, So as soon as you start taxing, the call button will automatically light up, you press it, and the audio file plays. Same thing for the "can we close the doors captain" audio. switch it to whatever you like and voila!

wow, that is a pretty low end card. I was using a nvidea 7900 for this one. maybe even a 7600. Those go for about 60 bucks nowadays, maybe cheaper.

It was a long time ago, but remember to install it under each livery that you have otherwise it won't work.

Not sure, sounds like a shader problem. I dont use FSX, and I don't run 8 series graphic cards. hehe, got no time to monitor heating conditions, and computer core performance.. I just want to FLY on max setings in FS2004! LONG LIVE FS2004!!!

thanks, whenever I try to engage the autopilot, the altitude and heading hold never work. They indicate that they function, but never respond.

Answer part 1 ok, so assuming no FMC data in the computer and we're flying manually. YOu just took off and still climbing. If you press the autopilot, first thing that will happen is it will try to maintain the current verticle speed AND bank. Pressing the hold button under the heading knob will force it to maintain the CURRENT heading that it was when you pressed the button. However, if you want it to maintain hwat's in the heading window, press the "sel" in the center of the heading knob.

Answer part 2. So now it will maintain the heading you put in the heading window. Now for altitude. If you press the alt hold button, it will try to go back to the altitude it was at when you pressed the button, not what's in the window. To make it climb to your selected altitude you can do two things. 1. Set a verticle speed that will allow it to capture the altitude in your window, once it gets there it will hold that altitude. 2. press the FLCH button, and what it will do is....

answer part 3, it will go to the altitude in the window, while maintaining the current spped that is in the speed window. This is not a very detailed description of the full capabilities of the Automatics, but it goes to show you that by just pushing the Autopilot button , the plane will only maintain the current bank if it's more than 5 or so degrees (otherwise it will just level the wings), and it will maitain the current verticle speed you were at when you pressed the button.

final answer number 4, so in conclusion, press autopilot button, then press hdg sel button (the black button in middle of knob) to go to your heading, then selec a verticle speed that will allow the plane to reach the altutude you want and press the verticle hold button, and it should do as told. Definitly learn how to use the FMC which will handle all of that automatically. I'd be glad to help.

If you still want to give it a try, maybe I can help. Whatever the probelm is, it's surely a procedure you're leaving out. The Autopilot isn't much like the PMDG747 or any other autopilot, especially the default one.

That's simply because you don't know how to use it OR your installation has errors in it. The LevelD systems works excellently.

It's just a picture image. Not a real weather radar. This is fine though, becuase airlines had to special order weather radars for their 767-300 planes. Most of the 76-3's did not have the weather radar.

Hi, thanks! The radar is just a bitmap image, the cockpit texture is from the leveld website, I forgot the name, but someone repainted it.
