you do not even need the quest to find the kid you can just find the place and he will give you the hit any way and also DO NOT store stuff in there if you are planning to do their quest line at one point the place gets taken down and you can't get to that stuff any more

Pro Tip- if you go to Riften there is a guy who you can directly ask about the Dark brotherhood so that you dont have to go running around for rumors, starts the quest line sooner.
