I find it incredibly amazing how Mario's fireball was more competent at making Semi-Super Mecha Sonic flinch than what Axem Ranger Red's ultra-blasting secret weapon did. When Red blasted Mecha Sonic, it felt like nothing but air for Mecha Sonic. But, when Mario's fireball striked Mecha Sonic, it was kind of a spark for him. I know it wasn't much to deal a whole lot of damage to Mecha Sonic, but, once you make the comparison, that is just impressive on Mario's account.

@871kicker To be fair, fear and exhaustion must've played a factor. Mario was the one who got the best hits on Mecha Sonic, even more so than Shadow. And, Mecha Sonic definitely wanted to kill him for preventing him from killing Sonic earlier in the fight.

Another thing though... couldn't have Shadow used, at any point in this battle, Chaos Control? He could use it to stop time briefly and get a few hits in on Mecha Sonic, or even use it to warp forward and out of Mario and Sonic's way instead of just kicking them out of the way.

Though, that could have just signifed them that in a dangerous situation like this, you either run (as fast as you can) or simply die.

If anyone should get some credit, it's Luigi! He provided transport for Mario, helping him move towards Mecha Sonic while scoring the surprise hit from the charged fireball. Mario did more damage in this fight over sonic and yoshi CUZ, he's using a power-up(the fire flower). SMBZ uses the sprite of Mecha Sonic from the Sonic and Knux game/ he was the last boss that wanted the master emerld. in this story he adsorbs even the Robotazied sonic version from the Sonic comics and the others. i wonder if sonic will try fire/flame sonic on mecha next time they meet. lol. this series has a good believable story. ive always knew Metal/Mecha Sonic was badass..
