  • nice vid but the song SUCKS BALLS!!!

  • Easy answer. Back in 94-98 saleen used v6 mustangs to produce the s351 (they swapped the enginge out obviously), the v6's came with the horse emblem. In 96 saleen introduced the entry level s281 and used the GT as its base car cause they wanted it to keep the GT's engine. no swaps. GT's came with the GT4.6 badging. In 99 saleen created their own 'Saleen' side badging to end the dispute about authenticy. The only True way to know if a saleen is real is the VIN of the car.

  • very nice car, but what's up with the GT emblem badge on the side of the car? Is it a replica?

  • used for naughty things

  • wow, a wing?

  • @MNherpexpert That wing is actually stock on some s281's, I'm not a big fan of it either. The other low profile s281 spoiler is much sleeker and looks better.

  • @ShaneRaweewon no, it was an upgradable spoiler, the low rise came with it, for $800 or some thing you got the "racing" spoiler

  • Damn nice Car!

    That's a BEAST riqht there!

  • unbelievably gorgeous!!

  • Beautiful car. Congrats to the soldier who purchased it.

  • my uncle has this same exact car just with an 03 cobra hood its fuckin bad ass

  • @rockitovato1 hey man do you have a pic of that? these are so rare to see on streets i think..i'd love to see what that hood looks like?

  • word of advise to the new owner. goto your local alignment shop and get the current alignment specs of your car for later use.(Dont have them align the car just get the current specs) TRUST ME do it!. Saleens tuning is completely different than GT or cobra. Alignment shops always make your handling much worst by using ford specs. Also take note of the racecraft suspension parts, make and numbers. its all bilstein but you want the correct shocks and struts info for later purchase.

  • That is very good advice. I will let him know when he gets home. He is a solider over in Iraq right now. We are very proud of our troops and we cannot wait to meet him when he comes home. We love our troops and give them much prayer of protection.

  • Cool, i pray he will make it back safe. Obviously im a s281 speedster owner as well (white and black too)96 #290 . I went threw alota pain (and still do) trying get my car back into spec after a fender bender. You wouldnt believe how bad the suspension can get when its all wrong. and it seems know one is knowledgable about anything other than drag racing. saleens drive like ferraris not like mustangs as you know. and only saleen owners know what the difference really is.

  • and as for the infamous side badgeing argument .. Saleen purchased the cheaper in price v6 mustangs from Ford for conversion. V6 mustangs carried the Horse badge. S281 were purchased as GT's , retaining the 4.6GT pwr plant and side badge. The 1999 re-skinned mustangs and hence saleens recieved new Saleen side badgeing.

Lastly, saleen s351's of 96-98 carried painted inner door bessel standard, optional for s281s. Speedster edition saleens carried Hard, soft(spyder) and standard tonnau covers

  • ehh, not the case at all. Saleen 200mph speedo's were standard for s351's, optional for s281's. The s281 was introduced in 96 as an entry level saleen carrying the gts 4.6 pwr plant. virtually all the s351 options were available for the s281, not to mention ALOT of off the record performance upgrade trickled down from Team Saleen (racing division). so like the s351 the s281 varied tremedously when it came to performance, excluding suspension.

  • a real saleen spedometer says 200
