It's packing tape--like you use to tape up boxes to ship...just be sure to use it on Arches paper as it could damage other surfaces. If you have another surface you are using try frisk film or shelf paper instead.
This is one of the best sample videos I've seen, with a complete lesson in it. That's the sort of example that leads to my getting more interested in the book or DVD than if it's just an overview or infomercial about it.

The trick is you need GOOD paper to use packing tape. Test your paper first. This is a really good book. I recommend buying it.
