dumbas old geezer mentally ill Reagan getting his old fart ass handed to him... what a total waste of fresh air that bag of bones was... too bad assassin didnt get his target in 1981
@NoSteveNoPoint NOPE, spoken like a factual, objective person who is a lot smarter, better educated, higher earning, better looking than you... get over yourself you dork (seriously, Journey?) Muwhahahaha... you must be some senior citizen nerd, have a hard on for that geek music from the 80's
BTW, Steve Perry is a registered Democrat and has been a spokesperson for several prominent candidates .... LOL... such irony... now go lose weight old fart
@skershaw2000 Your higher learning ( AKA Liberal Indoctrination) doesn't make you smarter, it makes you BRAIN WASHED. But unlike you, I don't hate the opposing party. I have pity for them. Just the fact that u used words like "Lose weight old fart, Dork, nerd, senior citizen" and your bragging on how smart, good looking and educated you are, is proof enough on who the party of "HATE" is.
@NoSteveNoPoint awwwww.... are you going to cry because I slapped you with public humiliation? Seriously, you might want to reconsider your extremely transparent, asinine, hypocritical comment... then again, you seem to have shit for brains, so I highly doubt you are even aware.
@NoSteveNoPoint yawn! we've already heard that lame line... try something new old timer.
by the way, nice job on the timing... I just called you out on hypocrisy and you, like a trained circus monkey, deliver.... and I bet you dont even recognize what's so obvious to the rest of us....
@NoSteveNoPoint dont be so naive (being as old and wrinkled as you are, its sort of pathetic)... "US" refers to decent society, those who arent socially rejected... those of us that actually contribute something to this world and our communities... those of us that can actually get a woman.
@NoSteveNoPoint says the guy who doesnt get any woman and has a youtube history of nerd videos... stop projecting your fears... you shouldnt hate your own kind, that's sort of ironic, dont you think? BTW, what were you saying about hate and intolerance? I bet you believe in all that god/jesus dildo bullshit too, dont you?
you're a waste of my time.. i could probably buy & sell you and your pathetic family 10 x over... and being that im about 10/12 years younger than you, that must make you cry
Mondale actually put a up a very respectable showing in all his debates against Reagan, infact the guy never gets enough credit for how well he did debate Reagan. Mainly b/c, Reagan won in a landslide during the general election. No matter how well Mondale debated Reagan with well articulated facts, he never had that extra something to counter Reagan's charm, charisma and brash self confidence.
I love Conservatives, they always say, "Reagan was the President who cut taxes". Well he never cut taxes on the middle class, he increase taxes, with the help of Democrats in Congress and the Senate. Reagan the ultimate fraud. Democrats the ultimate hypocrites.
"There you go again" again reminding me what a dumbass walter mondale looked like debating ronald reagan and how only 1 state was dumb that year lol. the only way to make reagan look crappy in a debate is to cut him off before his response. history taught me how california actually was a red state!! incredible!! People remember that mondale taught us what it was like to lose by a LANDSLIDE.
obama: big gov and LOTS of gov spending is a good thing and totally suports it along with new even stricter than the already worlds strictest air polution laws, regulate what kind of cars we will build to protect us from "manbearpig" Reagan: YOU should be in control of YOUR own money and LIFE and NOT the GOVERNMENT. society can't exist without government but it CAN survive without BIG GOVERNMENT. Obama sounds like jimmy carter only WORSE!! and as i recall... he lost :)
cutting money out of medicare in the 1980's would have been great, if the video would keep playing reagan would point out that medicare is very wasteful like all other government programs. i wonder how much money we would have saved if we cut it back then. here we are 30 yes thirty years later and guess what... its broke... go figure, its run by the government. i'll bet it takes a 16 story building with about 600 people in it just to HAND OUT THE MONEY!! atleast it does for "social security".
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... If Reagan truly believed that Medicare was a waste, why didn't he fix it? OH, THAT'S RIGHT...it was Congress' fault. Everything bad that happened during Reagan's term was done by Congress. Got it.
@emantabrizi the only way to "fix" it is to get rid of it along with all that other crap like "social security" that we all know will run out of money then what? benifits for nobody no matter how long you paid into that shit!! i dont want this country to end up like greece and be totally bankrupt. blaming the deficit on congress is right, reagan cut taxes for all working class 25%, too bad congress wouldnt cut spending. i could really use that now so could alot of other people.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... You need to take a history class. Reagan reduced the tax brackets, but he actually increased income taxes 11 times during his 8 years in office. Also, he increased military spending by $100 billion a year in order "win" the Cold War. Do you know why social security is in trouble? It's been working for 60 years. So, why now? It's because government keeps borrowing trillions of dollars from the social security fund.
@emantabrizi didn't i give the "different kind of democrat" credit? anyway, everyone knows social security is going bankrupt. it is just a matter of when. "borrowing" lol. they have never repaid any of the "borrowed" money. look up the definition of a ponzi sceme, it totally describes social security! those are illeglal in greedy free market capitalism, but its ok when the federal government does it! 1.65 trillion defict spending for 2011, TOTALLY. all that for what may i even ask?
reganomics: 1983: 603,000 new jobs, 1984: 4.25 million new jobs, 1985: 3 million, 1986: 1.9 million, 1987: 2.6 million, 1988: 3.25 million, 1989: 2.67 million. you guys are right... reganomics was a total disaster. Obamanomics is what really works... are we still losing jobs... 21 months after their resessions - regan:10.8% unemployment to 7.5% obama: 9.5% to 8.8% And that is why the liberal policy sucks, and socialism aka government dependancy sucks and prevents growth.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... No, we are not still losing jobs. For someone who did so much research on Reagan, you sure dropped the ball on Obama. The last month of negative job growth was September of 2010. 425,000 new jobs were created in the final three months of 2010. 2011 saw the creation of 1.93 million new jobs. 2012 so far? 170,000 new jobs created in January. You were saying?
@BrandonCRC ... Let's see, Gov. Walker of Wisconsin is being recalled, New Jersey is considered one of the worst places to live in the country, and Gov. Perry of Texas just spend 8 months making George W. Bush look like one of the smartest men alive. Yeah, pretty well, indeed.
@emantabrizi The only reason that Jersey is considered remotely bad is because the Democrats spent years running it into the ground and jacking up taxes. The Perry thing is opinionated so I won't bother. As for Walker they tried to recall him, and failed. Also, he took a deficit and turned it into a surplus, so...how is that bad? When he first took office they surveyed business owners, 10% said the state was headed in the right direction. The took another one recently and 88% said " "
@BrandonCRC ... With the exception of 1990-1994, Republicans had a 20-year run in the NJ Governor's mansion until 2002. You're claiming the Democrats destroyed Jersey in just 8 years? The point of my Perry comment was that Texas' success had nothing to do with him. Texas has oil money...billions of dollars in revenue that helped Texas attract companies from other states. Sure, Walker created a surplus...by going after public-sector employees and cutting their wages and benefits.
@emantabrizi are those government jobs or private sector, government jobs don't count because if we ever want to pay off our debt they will have to shed those jobs. our government is 14,000 billion dollars in the hole and whats obama's solution? spend you way out of debt!! what a total retard. the only thing i dropped the ball on is big wastefull government.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... Why does that matter? I know it doesn't really matter to you. I mean, how can you brag about Reagan's accomplishments if our national debt is a serious issue to you? After all, Reagan is still the only President in history who successfully TRIPLED our national debt ($900 billion to $2.8 trillion). Even Obama can't claim that accomplishment.
@emantabrizi congress is the problem there, both patries to blame for some of that. you aperently don't know who controls the "purse" within the government. also look at what party controlled BOTH sides of congress during clintons presidency(1994-2000 anyway). reagan spoke about an amendment to the constitution for a balanced budget 30 years ago and look at us now. so it was congress that TRIPLED our debt not the PRESIDENT ya dumb dumb.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... LOL, I love it. Reagan tripled the national debt, but it was Congress' fault. Obama adds $4 trillion to the national debt, and it's ALL HIS FAULT. LOL, great argument..."ya dumb dumb."
@emantabrizi the major difference is obama actullaly totally supports going deeper in debt and thats the only reason i blame him. 15 years before he became president ronald reagan started speeking out against wasteful government and if i heard a democrat speaking like that today he could win my vote in a heart beat, but i won't hold my breath on that. clinton was marketed as "a different kind of democrat" because he balanced the arkansas budget. what does that tell u about the dems?
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... LOL, Obama "totally supports going deeper in debt?" Oh, yeah, TOTALLY. That's why he keeps fighting for tax increases on the rich in order to balance the budget. That's why he's cutting WASTEFUL military spending in order to balance the budget. Regarding Clinton, I'm surprised you're not giving 100% credit to the Republican Congress for balancing the budget.
@emantabrizi by tax increases on the rich to balance the budget do you mean like the 1982 TEFRA "the largest tax increase in us history" closure of tax loop holes. obama sounds like reagan not the other way around. are you talking about the same WASTEFUL military spending the kept us from saluting a natzi flag. you are right we dont even need a military or any of the people in it. lets get rid of the military right away. yeah thats a great idea ,like always, it is so wasteful!
@emantabrizi if you would let the dems have free reign with the military budget i shudder to think what it would look like today. look at all the sucessfull projects that jimmy carter blocked, all of those projects are built by americans. how much did they cut out of the military budget anyway? they just spend it somewhere else in the wasteful stupid ass government. what a WASTE. wars that are military was most needed we didnt start, so always stay prepared and dont fall behind.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... Regardless of which party is in the White House, our military will never "fall behind." We spend more money on defense annually (nearly a trillion dollars) than every other country in the world...COMBINED. Even if we cut our defense budget in half, we would still be the world leader in defense spending.
@emantabrizi actually the military budget is 549 billion the war is 170 billion which doesnt add up to 1000 billion. how much did they cut it? why didnt they use that to pay off the debt? we should have the best military. our favorite debter china's is growing more advanced every day and in a few years at the current rate our interest on our debt will be greater than china's military. just incase you dont realize the whole rest of the world doesnt really like us. maybe the muslums.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... For 2012, Department of Defense spending is as follows: $700 billion (base budget + wars), $47 billion (Homeland Security), $55 billion (Veterans pensions), and $110 billion (interest on debt from past wars). Add it up and you get $912 billion. Like I said...nearly a trillion dollars.
@emantabrizi you are right homeland security is WASTEFUL and how are you going to "cut" interest on the past debt? and why do you point out veterans pensions if you disagree with other entitlement cuts?? 912 billion -$110 billion you cant cut, $55 billion you want cuts only from military veterans and no one else, $47 VERY IMPORTANT billion in homeland security for a huge country with immagration & terrorist problems and you dont end up with... nearly a trillion dollars.
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... I think you're getting confused about whom you're arguing with. I never said Homeland Security is wasteful. I never said we should cut the interest on past debt. I never said I disagree with other entitlement cuts. I never said I wanted to cut veterans' benefits.
for those who just looked up regan on wikipedia and saw that TEFRA "was the largest tax increase in history" It was done to AVIOD TAXING EVERYONE.TEFRA was created in order to reduce the budget gap by generating revenue through closure of tax loopholes and introduction of tougher enforcement of tax rules, as opposed to changing marginal income tax rates. Tax loopholes: how the rich aviod taxes. history shows mondale lost by a landslide. make up for gov inefficiency by taxing the middle class? NO
What exactly made Ronald Reagan great anyway? His Reaganomics wasn't great, the debt went up further as did unemployment, but I do not think he was a savior as people made him out to be. I didn't see him try to end the Federal Reserve. I didn't see him try to end the war on drugs. He just seems to have been with the establishment, he just wasn't as obvious about it as Bush and Obama.
I see several commentaries rightly pointing out that Reagan DID raise taxes; here are some articles summarising and/or discussing this (delete spaces):
1) “The Sad Legacy of Ronald Reagan” : mises.org/freemarket_detail. aspx?control=488;
2) “The Myths of Reaganomics”: mises.org/daily/1544;
3) “The Reagan Fraud — and After”: mises.org/daily/5009/The-Reagan-Fraud-and-After.
@Bcroft39 Since I'm not american, I don't really feel too deeply about it. I guess you were keen on Reagan, and that often makes people biased. I'm a bit confused though why you are insisting I'm childish for commenting on youtube. Aren't you doing the same?
@galerapesada I simply commented on the outcome of this particular election. Your reply to me was a sarcastic one. You were trying to start an argument with me and that is CHILDISH!!!!! I am a father of two. I know what is childish is and you were being childish. If you don't like or agree with someones comment, just simply quit reading it and go on to the next one. There is no reason for starting a debate or argument in here.
@Bcroft39 Are youtube users only meant to reply when they agree? Imagine it, political videos would be a sea of cliché talking points...Well, a more impenetrable one, anyway. Argue or don't, it's fine. My original comment meant simply that Reagan was cynical, but it's only one egregious example of a (sadly) very common practice in politics.
@galerapesada No, Children are allowed on youtube also. Obviously even adults with childish minds are allowed on youtube. Just because you can start an argument, doesn't mean that you have to. Hopefully, you've gotten your little thrill from our debate, now go on and pick a fight with someone else.
@EntomologyPurdue I was in agreement until your last 3 sentences. I have not nor ever will support Obama, he's a horrible President & a war criminal. The unemployment rate is higher then 9/10% those numbers government put out should only be taken at face value, the measure is more likely in the higher teens. Why against private business? They are what makes our country great not government. Their regulation hurts businesses along with taxes. Did you not say your for capitalism?
@EntomologyPurdue & like responsible citizen they would save up their cash spend wisely, government would be doing the same. This is easy but greed has corrupted the hearts of people with easy credit & piling up debt. Profiting is one thing but also adding debt now how does that make any sense? But that's not how it went now did it. This was ALL planned by traitors from within and abroad. Reagan played apart of in it, he may be a nice man but look what he did to us, realize it
@EntomologyPurdue In your Reagan praise what part was he successful in? Adding to the debt hurts us financially, spending more then revenue again hurts us. How are we profiting with spending more? Look at history, after Andrew Jackson killed the bank our country started to boom making full use of capitalism. Then came the Federal Reserve & it's traitors. Since then we have been becoming slaves to debt if the bank never was & as well as credit, spending would be controlled.
@EntomologyPurdue Your comment goes in circles. A meaningless comparison for appearance sake & prove the success by traitors against our country sovereignty slowly killing it with their decree in fulfilling the 10 planks of the communist manifesto. USA is turning into fascism, you know it, us like-minded individuals know it. The wicked fear the truth, neocons & their ideas are against the Constitution therefore are an enemy to our republic. It's written of your win but in the very end we win.
@EntomologyPurdue During his last two years in office this internet baby has researched the facts surrounding Reagan fallacy of being a great President. Just like JFK Camelot delusion there's nothing great about the massive government spending, more debt to the nation, increased taxes, his words were libertarian but served neoconservative actions. Based on constitutional authority how many was broken under him? He served globalists well. Ron Paul then as now would wipe the floor off him. Wake up
The overall effects have been devastating for the majority – R.R./Bush negotiating globalism for close to 10 years, dropping taxes on the rich [and simultaneously increasing them on the poor] 1986 – funding the exportation of industries/jobs.
1982 TEFRA, bypassed the Dems. (recommendation to lower taxes) in House of Repr.
- the Senate and “acting pres.” signed off-on it - ignored/bypassed the House !
“Largest tax increase in US History” .... tripled the Debt [even though the House reduced everyone of his budget requests]; making the Reagan Admin. the largest taxer and spenders of the 20th Century !
Reagan had the last laugh. Mondale won only one state in the 84 election. The thought of having a member of Carter's administration as president probably scared alot of people especially since we were recovering by this time. Unemployment topped at 7.5 % in 1984.
Where's the rest? I want to hear what Reagan says!!!! How come Republicans never get a rebuttle? Especially in my Political Classes at the University. 5 words & I'm cut off. No such thing as debate anymore. Discussing something back & forth. There are two parts you know ;). That is unless you know that you're going to loose.
@andrij66 yea, I hear ya, you let them explain their end no matter how hard it is to not but in (tongue bleeding by the end of it), then when it's your turn you start and you have a group of animals just cut you off no matter how loud you speak
and I'll tell you why they didn't show it, because the only way they can make it look like Reagan got burned is to allow the laughter to be heard in the background and keep him from explaining the ignorance Mondale and his followers have
Tax Reform Act of 1986 – further raised taxes again on the bottom marginal rates; but continued reducing them in the top [3 M$/yr] bracket – unprecedented in US history !
-
Overall increases about 25% on the bottom and 60% reduction on the top.
-- Reversed the 1981 –‘across-the-board tax cut-‘ on the bottom marginal rate, in 1982 – through a scam ignoring the “Dem. House that proposed ANOTHER TAX REDUCTION”
– bypassed the House !! Just as clueless then, as now !
-
1982 TEFRA “largest tax increase in US History”
Garrison Armstrong vs United States [lawsuit against it] –
@21tikcah You know NOTHING. I was in business at the time and it was GREAT! I met someone at work yesterday who was self employed at that time too and he said the same thing. FACTS are facts. You are full of shit
Here is the problem with Democrat "facts" ... they always exclude details:
Reagan faced Democrat majority in Congress. Clinton faced Republican majority ... Clinton signed the Republican bills against the cries of his party, because the AMERICAN PEOPLE wanted those bills, and like a good lil sheep, he followed.
A President does not create the legislation, they only sign it. Reagan did the best he could with Democrats running the Congress and always wanting to shank the American people.
Reagan borrowed close to 2 T$ in the 1980’s, largest tax reduction on the rich [60 % on income over 3 M$/yr], “largest tax increase in US history on the bottom margin 1982” TEFRA [negating the across-the-board tax cut for most, one year later]; resulting in 80% of all the income and wealth going to the top 10% - since Reagan-omics.
Reagan/Bush I negotiated GATT, WTO and NAFTA for close to 10 years.
Gave them the capital - to export 10's of thousands of factories to other countries [at taxpayers’ expense]. Did not last through the Bush I term. Bush II – expanded the same policies and had the worst Job performance in 70 years.
1st Repub. Depression (same percentage reduction – Mellon Plan) – lead to 30+ % unemployment.
Bush II [Reagan on steroids] has caused close to 20+ % - [700K per month when he left office] - same game for the rich, same loss for the MAJORITY !
Reagan’s alleged “success” - did not even carry over into the G.H.W. Bush (4 yrs) - only
created 2.5 M jobs (4 yrs).
-
Where, Clinton increased tax on the rich and created 23.1 M jobs in 8 years; - more than 10 timed G.H.W.B. and 1.5 times Reagan..
-
Your blanket statement... is only absolute, in it’s ludicrousness and obvious –‘recent contradictions'-; foolish and deceptive in promoting –‘one single factor as an absolute –‘every time’- !
Reagan and Bush II set US up - 2nd Refub. Depression ... still paying [compound interest - 25+ years] on what Reagan/Bush/Bush borrowed [the principal has not been paid]
½ T$/yr interest on Refub. tax breaks, borrowing and failed policies !
-
Reagan tripled the debt, Bush I doubled it, Clinton reduced it
~ Reagan sold out to the his wealthiest donor$, de-regulation and de-taxation equal to what precipitated the 1st Repub. Depression.
Reagan/Bush negotiated GATT, WTO and NAFTA for close to 10 years; which will make this recovery much, much more difficult to reverse ! 2nd Refub. Depression ....

David Stockman ... Reagan's Budget Director - 2010
"None of us really understood what was going on with all these numbers and that supply-side economics –‘was always a Trojan Horse to bring down the top rate’-."
-
1982 – Refub. Senate and Reagan bypassed the Dem. House and reversed the famous “across the board” tax break in the lowest margin, but maintained the 70-50% reduction in incomes over 3 M$/yr.
1982 TEFRA – [scam] “Largest Tax Increase in US history” - And won the second election 2 years later with more votes – SCREWED THE MAJORITY; AND GOT MORE VOTES.
"Just as clueless then".
1986 raised the lowest margin again and lowered the top 50-25% - again equaling a 60% reduction 1981-1988.
Reagan/Bush I negotiated GATT, WTO and Nafta for close to 10 years. Bush I signed the NAFTA treaty one month after loosing the election to Clinton.
They financed the wealthy to export whole industries/jobs; and decimated the American middle class.
Since Reagan 80% of all wealth has TRICKLED-UP to 10%; and 90% can not keep up with inflation; and Social Inequity and Mobility are approaching 3rd World Status !
@5YtilA ; Listen you simpleton. You state that Reagan tripled the debt, Bush I (senior) doubled it. You know why? It was the Cold War era. I'm glad that they increased the debt ....it helped to end that Cold War era. The Soviet Union fell apart. The countries of central and eastern Europe regained their independence and became our allies. Clinton had an easier time because he came after the fact. It was called the "peace dividend" at the time....do you remember?
- And the tooth fairy puts money under my pillow !
...
Russia bankrupted themselves by over extending their military reach; as we are now.
-
Reagan sold out to the his wealthiest donor$, de-regulation and de-taxation equal to what precipitated the 1st Repub. Depression.
Reagan/Bush negotiated GATT, WTO and NAFTA for close to 10 years; which will make this recovery much, much more difficult to reverse ! = 2nd Refub. Depression ....
Since Reagan’s 60% reduction on income over 3 M$/yr – 80% of all income has gone to the top 10%; and he tripling the national debt – was a short-term [con-job], that did not even last thru the G.H.W. Bush 4 years ! And the other 90% of Americans are struggling to keep up with inflation !
G.W. Bush’s multi-trillion dollar - tax-cuts – “Jobs programs” – 10 year failure ... and loss of 4-5 T$ in revenue. Extremely wealthy shifting their income to –‘capital gains’- and paying less percentage of taxes than working people; and nothing into S.S. and Medicare – and vilifying it because it will not have –‘enough’- money – after 20 years.
For those who criticize Reagan: You are against the majority who voted for him in 1984. And if you think the majority are stupid or ignorant, than you just helped Reagan's own conservative argument.
"The issue of the election is this: whether we believe in our capacity for self government, or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far distant capital can plan our life for us better than we can ourselves."
Mondale was all right, but you gotta strike a chord with people and never come across as a smartypants, reagan mastered his facial mimicry a lot better(he is after all, actor schooled),all the rest is economy, economy economy. I'd like to have seen mondale against nixon though, or W bush, he would have had serious chances then.
you must be joking. MonDULL didnt have a chance from the word Go. The country was doing awesome, and Reagan was the best president this country has had since JFK.
He then proceeded to take over 40 states in the election. The last President to FOR, instead of "the lesser of 2 evils" choices we have had since then.
Reagan response: No, I never proposed any $20 billion should come out of Medicare; I have proposed that the program we must treat with that particular problem. And maybe part of that problem is because during the 4 years of the Carter-Mondale administration medical costs in this country went up 87 percent.
@babykevinxoxo "..Its congress that raises taxes not any president..."
- B.S.
Pres. has a pen ..........
The House makes the first - officially- proposal, "contingent upon the Senate and the president".
- memory-hole -
Re-search the 1982 TEFRA - House Dems. proposed a lower bracket tax-cut; the Senate ignored it created "the largest US tax INCREASE ever" and got Reagan to sign it.
Lawsuit - Garrison Armstrong vs US ... court sided with Senate/Reagan

obama: big gov and LOTS of gov spending is a good thing and totally suports it along with new even stricter than the already worlds strictest air polution laws, regulate what kind of cars we will build to protect us from "manbearpig" Reagan: YOU should be in control of YOUR own money and LIFE and NOT the GOVERNMENT. society can't exist without government but it CAN survive without BIG GOVERNMENT. Obama sounds like jimmy carter only WORSE!! and as i recall... he lost :)
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
cutting money out of medicare in the 1980's would have been great, if the video would keep playing reagan would point out that medicare is very wasteful like all other government programs. i wonder how much money we would have saved if we cut it back then. here we are 30 yes thirty years later and guess what... its broke... go figure, its run by the government. i'll bet it takes a 16 story building with about 600 people in it just to HAND OUT THE MONEY!! atleast it does for "social security".
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... If Reagan truly believed that Medicare was a waste, why didn't he fix it? OH, THAT'S RIGHT...it was Congress' fault. Everything bad that happened during Reagan's term was done by Congress. Got it.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi the only way to "fix" it is to get rid of it along with all that other crap like "social security" that we all know will run out of money then what? benifits for nobody no matter how long you paid into that shit!! i dont want this country to end up like greece and be totally bankrupt. blaming the deficit on congress is right, reagan cut taxes for all working class 25%, too bad congress wouldnt cut spending. i could really use that now so could alot of other people.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... It's because government keeps borrowing trillions of dollars from the social security fund.
emantabrizi 1 month ago

AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... @emantabrizi How exactly are Wisconsin, New Jersey and Texas doing right now? Pretty well....
BrandonCRC 1 month ago
@BrandonCRC ... Let's see, Gov. Walker of Wisconsin is being recalled, New Jersey is considered one of the worst places to live in the country, and Gov. Perry of Texas just spend 8 months making George W. Bush look like one of the smartest men alive. Yeah, pretty well, indeed.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi The only reason that Jersey is considered remotely bad is because the Democrats spent years running it into the ground and jacking up taxes. The Perry thing is opinionated so I won't bother. As for Walker they tried to recall him, and failed. Also, he took a deficit and turned it into a surplus, so...how is that bad? When he first took office they surveyed business owners, 10% said the state was headed in the right direction. The took another one recently and 88% said " "
BrandonCRC 4 weeks ago
@BrandonCRC ... With the exception of 1990-1994, Republicans had a 20-year run in the NJ Governor's mansion until 2002. You're claiming the Democrats destroyed Jersey in just 8 years? The point of my Perry comment was that Texas' success had nothing to do with him. Texas has oil money...billions of dollars in revenue that helped Texas attract companies from other states. Sure, Walker created a surplus...by going after public-sector employees and cutting their wages and benefits.
emantabrizi 3 weeks ago
@emantabrizi are those government jobs or private sector, government jobs don't count because if we ever want to pay off our debt they will have to shed those jobs. our government is 14,000 billion dollars in the hole and whats obama's solution? spend you way out of debt!! what a total retard. the only thing i dropped the ball on is big wastefull government.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... Why does that matter? I know it doesn't really matter to you. I mean, how can you brag about Reagan's accomplishments if our national debt is a serious issue to you? After all, Reagan is still the only President in history who successfully TRIPLED our national debt ($900 billion to $2.8 trillion). Even Obama can't claim that accomplishment.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi congress is the problem there, both patries to blame for some of that. you aperently don't know who controls the "purse" within the government. also look at what party controlled BOTH sides of congress during clintons presidency(1994-2000 anyway). reagan spoke about an amendment to the constitution for a balanced budget 30 years ago and look at us now. so it was congress that TRIPLED our debt not the PRESIDENT ya dumb dumb.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... LOL, I love it. Reagan tripled the national debt, but it was Congress' fault. Obama adds $4 trillion to the national debt, and it's ALL HIS FAULT. LOL, great argument..."ya dumb dumb."
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi the major difference is obama actullaly totally supports going deeper in debt and thats the only reason i blame him. 15 years before he became president ronald reagan started speeking out against wasteful government and if i heard a democrat speaking like that today he could win my vote in a heart beat, but i won't hold my breath on that. clinton was marketed as "a different kind of democrat" because he balanced the arkansas budget. what does that tell u about the dems?
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... LOL, Obama "totally supports going deeper in debt?" Oh, yeah, TOTALLY. That's why he keeps fighting for tax increases on the rich in order to balance the budget. That's why he's cutting WASTEFUL military spending in order to balance the budget. Regarding Clinton, I'm surprised you're not giving 100% credit to the Republican Congress for balancing the budget.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi by tax increases on the rich to balance the budget do you mean like the 1982 TEFRA "the largest tax increase in us history" closure of tax loop holes. obama sounds like reagan not the other way around. are you talking about the same WASTEFUL military spending the kept us from saluting a natzi flag. you are right we dont even need a military or any of the people in it. lets get rid of the military right away. yeah thats a great idea ,like always, it is so wasteful!
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... Whoa, there, buddy! I said "wasteful military spending," not "all military spending is wasteful." Nice try, though. lol
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi if you would let the dems have free reign with the military budget i shudder to think what it would look like today. look at all the sucessfull projects that jimmy carter blocked, all of those projects are built by americans. how much did they cut out of the military budget anyway? they just spend it somewhere else in the wasteful stupid ass government. what a WASTE. wars that are military was most needed we didnt start, so always stay prepared and dont fall behind.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA "are" lol
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... Regardless of which party is in the White House, our military will never "fall behind." We spend more money on defense annually (nearly a trillion dollars) than every other country in the world...COMBINED. Even if we cut our defense budget in half, we would still be the world leader in defense spending.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi actually the military budget is 549 billion the war is 170 billion which doesnt add up to 1000 billion. how much did they cut it? why didnt they use that to pay off the debt? we should have the best military. our favorite debter china's is growing more advanced every day and in a few years at the current rate our interest on our debt will be greater than china's military. just incase you dont realize the whole rest of the world doesnt really like us. maybe the muslums.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... For 2012, Department of Defense spending is as follows: $700 billion (base budget + wars), $47 billion (Homeland Security), $55 billion (Veterans pensions), and $110 billion (interest on debt from past wars). Add it up and you get $912 billion. Like I said...nearly a trillion dollars.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
@emantabrizi you are right homeland security is WASTEFUL and how are you going to "cut" interest on the past debt? and why do you point out veterans pensions if you disagree with other entitlement cuts?? 912 billion -$110 billion you cant cut, $55 billion you want cuts only from military veterans and no one else, $47 VERY IMPORTANT billion in homeland security for a huge country with immagration & terrorist problems and you dont end up with... nearly a trillion dollars.
AbsolutelyMadeinUSA 1 month ago
@AbsolutelyMadeinUSA ... I think you're getting confused about whom you're arguing with. I never said Homeland Security is wasteful. I never said we should cut the interest on past debt. I never said I disagree with other entitlement cuts. I never said I wanted to cut veterans' benefits.
emantabrizi 1 month ago
for those who just looked up regan on wikipedia and saw that TEFRA "was the largest tax increase in history" It was done to AVIOD TAXING EVERYONE.TEFRA was created in order to reduce the budget gap by generating revenue through closure of tax loopholes and introduction of tougher enforcement of tax rules, as opposed to changing marginal income tax rates. I didn't see him try to end the Federal Reserve. I didn't see him try to end the war on drugs. He just seems to have been with the establishment, he just wasn't as obvious about it as Bush and Obama.

Did you not say your for capitalism?
kantoriX1 3 months ago
@EntomologyPurdue & like responsible citizen they would save up their cash spend wisely, government would be doing the same. This is easy but greed has corrupted the hearts of people with easy credit & piling up debt. Profiting is one thing but also adding debt now how does that make any sense? But that's not how it went now did it. This was ALL planned by traitors from within and abroad. Reagan played apart of in it, he may be a nice man but look what he did to us, realize it
kantoriX1 3 months ago
@EntomologyPurdue In your Reagan praise what part was he successful in? Adding to the debt hurts us financially, spending more then revenue again hurts us. How are we profiting with spending more? Look at history, after Andrew Jackson killed the bank our country started to boom making full use of capitalism. Then came the Federal Reserve & it's traitors. Since then we have been becoming slaves to debt if the bank never was & as well as credit, spending would be controlled.
kantoriX1 3 months ago
@EntomologyPurdue Your comment goes in circles. A meaningless comparison for appearance sake & prove the success by traitors against our country sovereignty slowly killing it with their decree in fulfilling the 10 planks of the communist manifesto. USA is turning into fascism, you know it, us like-minded individuals know it. The wicked fear the truth, neocons & their ideas are against the Constitution therefore are an enemy to our republic. It's written of your win but in the very end we win.
kantoriX1 3 months ago
@EntomologyPurdue During his last two years in office this internet baby has researched the facts surrounding Reagan fallacy of being a great President. Just like JFK Camelot delusion there's nothing great about the massive government spending, more debt to the nation, increased taxes, his words were libertarian but served neoconservative actions. Based on constitutional authority how many was broken under him? He served globalists well. Ron Paul then as now would wipe the floor off him. Wake up

@whaddupmf “... It was the Cold War era ...”

REAGAN, raised taxes about 18 times..
801liveable 5 months ago
Ideologically driven legend/myth manufactured B.S. machine –
– Focus on SPENDING and ignoring REVENUE !
-
Obscure the history/facts – 91% tax on top marginal rate [3+ M$/yr] in the 1950’s paying off two wars !
WHY - they make their money off our human resources and taxpayer subsidized infrastructure !
Cont
XEBKWTR 6 months ago 2
Since Reagan’s 60% reduction on income over 3 M$/yr – 80% of all income has gone to the top 10%; and he tripling the national debt – was a short-term [con-job], that did not even last thru the G.H.W. Bush 4 years ! And the other 90% of Americans are struggling to keep up with inflation !

G.W. Bush’s multi-trillion dollar - tax-cuts – “Jobs programs” – 10 year failure ... and loss of 4-5 T$ in revenue. Extremely wealthy shifting their income to –‘capital gains’- and paying less percentage of taxes than working people; and nothing into S.S. and Medicare – and vilifying it because it will not have –‘enough’- money – after 20 years.
... PAYING OFF TWO WARS !

@MrStones64 he got 13 electoral college votes. 10 from his home state, minnesota, and 3 from d.c.

I think Mondale should have won in 1984 instead of getting his ass kicked in 49 states.

@MsSunnysmith
you must be joking. MonDULL didnt have a chance from the word Go. The country was doing awesome, and Reagan was the best president this country has had since JFK.
bluedevil0704 7 months ago 2
He then proceeded to take over 40 states in the election. The last President to FOR, instead of "the lesser of 2 evils" choices we have had since then.
MrProgressivelib1 8 months ago
Reagan response: No, I never proposed any $20 billion should come out of Medicare; I have proposed that the program we must treat with that particular problem. And maybe part of that problem is because during the 4 years of the Carter-Mondale administration medical costs in this country went up 87 percent.
That's it.

- precedent ??? House is irrelevant ?

Another lying neo-con, what a surprise. Reagan increased taxes many times, and he STILL ran up a huge deficit.
