  • No one understands this piece.

  • C'est magnifique!

  • awsome

  • It's very good, Both nearly perfect, but the final note of the soprano wasn't written by Satie. It's obvious that a liric and powerful soprano like Devellereau can reach easily the acute, but it break's Satie's spirit to the glory of the singer.

  • i love you Cedric Tiberghien!!!

  • lol the pianist is hot

  • Ils sont tous les 3 Excellents (le troisième c'est Satie bien sûr !).Thanks for this post. (Mezzo is good TV channel too). bye.

  • I just cannot stop listening to it.. it's magic, I am in love with the song and this performance! Thank you!!!

  • Gorgeous singing. But my eye kept wandering to the pianist. Actually, both eyes.

  • Oh, lovely. Must be confusing to be a pianist and so sexy at this age. How can anyone grow up as a normal person when having sooo much attention?

More to the point, I did enjoyed this, I found it better tehnical than other versions, but slightly colder. She does not fit my favourite singer profile, but I do appreciate her and think she is very good, and I am biased

  • WOW! Impressive high C at the end! What a lovely performance... I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it.

It amuses me that so many are commenting on how good the pianist's looks are instead of how good his technique is - he has talent and technique to burn! Thank you for posting, bigpinkypig :)

  • :\ i still like the one sung by norman...

    Je le veux!

  • I love satie!!!!!

  • as tu vu cette version? Norman sings "Je te veux" by Satie (1984) la c est tres chouette

  • oui je l'ai vu! et je suis bien d'accord avec toi!

  • Beautiful performance!!!!!

  • Beautiful singing. And what an accompanist! It's hard to take your eyes off him. I know I didn't.

  • Did Satie set someone else's words to music, or how did that work? I've always thought of this tune as being for piano only.

  • He wrote it for Paulette Darty as accompaniment for a stage show they did together. The song was originally written by Henry Pacory.

Satie made more than a 100 of these compositions (Poudre d'Or being the other one still very well-known) all based on popular tunes of his day.

  • Wonderful piece!Thanks Satie!You was a lovely composer!

  • wunderschön

  • Oh this is really a beautiful performance !! Love it. Oh, by the way what does 'Je te veux' means?

  • I think it means "I want you"

  • Cédric Tiberghien (born in 1975) is a french pianist.

Born the 5th of May 1975, he began the piano at the age of 5, studied at the Conervatoire de Paris with Frédéric Aguessy and Gérard Frémy,where in 1992 he won his first prize at the age of 17.

(just thought i'd translate that, although it's not that hard to understand, even if you don't know french.)
