I might add the following variation: Drop the Italian dressing and swap in Balsamic Vinegar/Vinaigrette, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (typically if not using vinaigrette), and some Black Olives. The vinegar and oil mixture takes a bit of trying to achieve a good balance(per taste) but once achieved it is nice. I would probably cut my bell peppers up at least a half more than you did as well to fit a fork full more nicely but that is personal preference. You did excellent regardless and made it easy :)
That looks really good. I make basically the same thing except using wheat pasta, shredded parmesan cheese, sliced olives, spinach, baby bell peppers sliced into small rings, artichoke hearts, and a coating of light balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Dear Betty, I am going to college soon and i am a terrible cook, but thanks to your incredible recipes which are all so very simple, I wont starve. Thank you! This recipe sounds delicious, I cant wait to try it!
Hi Betty ,gotta try that one I am a bell pepper freak, lol,I am sendind u a vid responce of my stop lite turkey,I have lost 29 lbs by eating turkey and no fast food, love ur vids thanks for sharing,Glenn.
I just wanted to let you know that you have become such a go to for me and my family. My mother in law has leukemia and Ive used some of your tastey recipes to help please her palet during this difficult time. Youve been a real help! I can not thank you enough.
Nice video Betty! will you be doing any outdoor recipe's say on the grill this year when the weather gets nice? it would be a good variation to add a little something different to an already great channel! IMO, we should get you entered as the #1 cooking channel on you tube! you would def be in the top bracket. keep up the excellent tips, subscriber for life here.
Thanks for your lovely comment! Yes, I definitely will be doing outdoor recipes as the weather gets nicer! I'm really looking forward to it! I'm glad you enjoy my channel!
@sixstrings2650 Thanks! The intro was designed by two of my viewers from Hungary. I think it's great, too! I have lots of recipes with pecans--pecan pie, race day pie, pecan topped sweet potatoes, pecan bars, pecan puff cookies, pecan pancakes, and many more. Just go to bettyskitchen and type in the search keyword pecan!
@umkoki I'm glad you like the looks of this pasta salad. You can change it to your own taste, by adding different vegetables, maybe increasing the vegetables or decreasing the pasta, and it will be a great diet dish for you!
Well this is something I can try since it's vegetarian. I'm probably going to use a different dressing though since here, they don't sell vegetarian italian dressing unfortunately. Can't wait to try this. I know it'll be amazing like all of your other recipes that I have tried.
Betty, you make your pasta salad just like I do! The only difference Is, I add sliced olives and turkey pepperoni that I cut into strips with my kitchen scissors. It makes such a nice meal on a hot day.
Love the intro! and you look absolutely lovely! and the recipe, as usual is soo straightforward and easy! quick question though, my diet involves not eating pasta..could you suggest any substitute?
I know what I'm having for lunch today! And this salad is very easy to make gluten free, there are lots of different kinds of gluten free pastas on the market and they are all tasty.

i'm veg too and we just make ours
it's 1 part vinegar 2 parts olive oil
oregano to taste
garlic powder or fresh garlic if you don't mind the bite, to taste
red pepper flakes, to taste
and season the salad with salt and pepper after tossing with the dressing, again, to taste.
