I used to feed Porky leaves because I loved the "Wooosh" sound that he made when you gave him stuff to eat and I ran out of trash pretty fast.

Porky the Litter Eater sounds like he hates life. I think he's deliberately bringing up bottles and broken glass because he wants to die.

"Glass gives me a stomach ache." I can still hear Porky saying that back when I heard him as a child. And I believe it's the same recording that plays today!

About 8 years ago, after a family picnic at the park, I mistakenly fed "Porky" my son's retainer (he just had his braces removed). I ran around like a mad man trying to find the guy who controls Porky. But whenever I told my story to a worker: "I fed my son's retainer to "Porky"! All they'd do was laugh! That darn pig. Never did get it back.

My dad grew up in Rockville and he took me from the time I was 2 until I moved. Porky was my favorite thing in the whole world! To this day my family quotes him al the time. "Don't ever, ever feed me glass!" We laugh so hard! Thanks for the great memories!

this was my favorite trash can when I was a kid. (actually, it still is). I think that's the same voice, amazingly enough, as from 35 years ago.
