I was blessed to get to watch the movie "A Star Is Born" when it first came out. Barbra is amazing woman and singer. Kris Kristofferson and Barbra in this movie was very sensual., Comment if you saw that movie.

@shirleysdelight I saw the movie when it came out and I recall the critics disliking it, yet not affecting the box office which went through the roof! I recall Kristofferson saying that he decided to quit the booze 'n drugs after seeing the picture. I loved the film and the drama, but the best parts were when Streisand was performing live and showing why she is considered a major star. 'Evergreen, 'The Woman In The Moon' this piece. All great songs. 'Crippled Crow' ain't bad either!

This song would be great for a funeral...the first part at least. The "Watch Closely Now" reprise might be a bit too rockish. But then again, I've never been to one, not a proper one at least, at the gravesite and such. Is it usually proper to use an ubeat song like that, even with the bang-on sentiments?

A Star is Born is one of the 1st albums I bought,as 15/16 yr old,on vinyl,lol,oye,what a mischkeit! 30-something yrs later,and I can STILL lose myself in this track,indeed the whole album! I can't name 1 song on there which doesn't evoke some kinda response.Evergreen is my favourite,and Woman in the Moon,well,just all of them,really.It's great that the album seems to hold such prominance on youtube! Streisand STILL has 'it',all these decades later.

One of my all time favorite movies. Evergreen is a great one song too. I love the scene in the movie where she is in the process of moving out of the house they shared to gether after the accident and someone trips and turns the tape recording on. She hears his voice on the tape and runs to see it is just the tape recording. Man! Talk about ripping a heart out!!
