And as to our public schools: DONT GET ME STARTED. I know why our school system is so pathetic: its run by the GOVERNMENT. Gov. cannot offer what private enterprise can. If we let people CHOOSE what school they wanted to send their kids to, and then let the gov. pay for it, it would create COMPETITION for that money and the failing schools would disappear b/c nobody would be going there!! But, alas, choice is synonymous w/ freedom, and I know how Americans feel about freedom these days...
