Hey Jake, how well are those knock-off GameCube controllers holding up? I had picked up one of those knock-off controllers to replace my then-damaged original blue GameCube controller and in a very short period of time, the analog stick got about as loose as on my 3 Nintendo 64 controllers.
Tip: if you get one of those knock-off controllers, open them and lubricate the analog stick's plastic parts. I've done that to a white knock-off controller I bought and its analog stick is still like new.
I will point out another thing about those controllers: it seems they've changed since the time I got my blue knock-off controller. My white knock-off controller has the same PCB, but it feels a bit heavier, the Z button is CONSIDERABLY quieter, the analog triggers have less resistance on them and the wire is about as thick as an official Nintendo controller as well as being more flexible. It seems these controllers have gotten a bit better over time. Now, let's see how long they last.
btw, the non legit controllers you have, the analogs break off easily (therubber) if you are a extreme gamer. As me and my cousins play melee competively there controllers lost the rubber. Just to let you know.
I actually have a legit Orange Gamecube controller, I do live in Toronto and I got it awhile back when GB first came it in Canada. If the orange GB is only in JApan then that sucks :( but orange is a cool colour :]
Wow, that's some pretty cool stuff you got. They also sell those knock off game cube controllers at Ross for like 7 or 8 bucks. I got a black and purble one and they work just as good as the real ones but at a cheaper price!
i had that nes advantage. don't think it ever worked really though because the silicon things for the A and B buttons kinda were messed up. now i have "The Dominator Master Control Infrared Joystick" made by nexoft. i can't really use the joystick because i jsut can't get used to it. jsut plug in controllers into it and use the wireless so don't have to move move nex to play it. i have never seen another one of these besides online. have no idea how rare it is or anything. i like it. no delay.
they have those generic controllers for like every game system at game store here. one company is yobo that makes them. they seems to actually make some good stuff. there is a ps2 controller that has no writing on the buttons too. that is kind of odd i think. they are all blank.
* Monitor that your child is reading by signing their diary on a daily basis. * Ask questions about the text they are reading to ensure they understand. * Allow the use of maths for your child in real-life situations, Eg; going shopping, cooking, timing, reading bus/train timetables, problem solving etc. * Make sure that homework is completed every week. * Use your child's diary to communicate with the teacher if needed.
those 'compatible' controllers have a terrible rumble feature. See my vid on it. I'm very critical of rumble; if it says rumble I want the thing to want to shake out of my hands or at least let me know it's there.
You bid for an item. After you win the by being the highest bidder the item gets sent to you by the person who sells it to you by looking at your ebay profile and looking what your address is.
i have a different kind of game cube controller,it is perfect, and its aftermarket,it kind of looks like that but has the same button feel as a regular GC controller, but it feels better to grip your hands on.
Yep, that one of the reason I havent gotten yet....but I do want just to play some old games, and later buy a good NES, unless I can find a good one, for a good price. Yobo might be just a temporary thing.
Yep, but I already have a snes, so its not worth it for me to get a retro duo....for the price it might be better to get an original nes! But the retro duo is a good alternative for someone who doesnt have either the nes or the snes.
Nice I got a couple of those NES Advantage controlers... I haven't showed them in any of my vids yet... I find them to be a little hard to play with... But for games like TMNT they are nice to have.... Plus I like the turbo.... You can dial them in to how fast you want the turbo to be.... Nice for games like track and field... hehe
Everyone always gets the NES Advantage but never the Maverick 2! It was the arcade stick I had when I was a kid... and when I went over to my friend's house he's be like "OMG OMG did you bring the Maverick 2?!!!" LOL
Good buys. I too got TMNT II the arcade game back in 91. I remember if was one of the few nes games I had and I really played that game a lot. I finally beat it because it is not nearly as difficult as the 1st one. Your cat freaked me out. I saw it's ear move into frame from behind the box lid and I thought it was a mouse for a sec. Looks a lot like my cat Smokey. I'm amazed how those gamecube controller shells are exactly like the licensed ones. I'm not sure how they are pulling that off.
Shadowgate, I used to LOVE that game. You're right about the controllers, the look almost identical to the authentic GC ones but really nice. That NES advantage I used to own back in the day as well. I had it mounted to a coffee table and I used to love playing with it.
Very cool of you to back up your reviews with the actual games. I need more Gamecube controllers too, broke my 2 Madcatz. Like the bright color scheme on the knockoff. That NES advantage looks mint... a thing of beauty my friend, mine that I got for 3 bucks is ugly but it works good. I love holding it like a regular controller, if you have big enough hands give it a try.
I've owned a couple of NES advantages, the A and B buttons aren't very good as they tend to get stuck and are not very sensitive. At least the stick works perfectly...
You got a copy of shadow gate i see!! that game was one of my favorites as a kid!
I lost Shadowgate and Uninvited many years back but just got them back! It totally caught me off guard because both of em showed up in a box from my old house. A day of rejoice!!
tmnt 2 was released in 1990 and mario 3 same thing, its funny cuz i got mario 3 in 1990 but no longer have it of course...some jackass stole it from me when i was a kid...i got to get myself a nes advantage,i love the look of that controller
i saw your cat :D
