  • i saw your cat :D

  • Hey Jake, how well are those knock-off GameCube controllers holding up? I had picked up one of those knock-off controllers to replace my then-damaged original blue GameCube controller and in a very short period of time, the analog stick got about as loose as on my 3 Nintendo 64 controllers.

Tip: if you get one of those knock-off controllers, open them and lubricate the analog stick's plastic parts. I've done that to a white knock-off controller I bought and its analog stick is still like new.

  • I will point out another thing about those controllers: it seems they've changed since the time I got my blue knock-off controller. My white knock-off controller has the same PCB, but it feels a bit heavier, the Z button is CONSIDERABLY quieter, the analog triggers have less resistance on them and the wire is about as thick as an official Nintendo controller as well as being more flexible. It seems these controllers have gotten a bit better over time. Now, let's see how long they last.

  • PNP Games stands for Plug N Play Games! LOL

  • Can you do a review of these knock of ones?

  • btw, the non legit controllers you have, the analogs break off easily (therubber) if you are a extreme gamer. As me and my cousins play melee competively there controllers lost the rubber. Just to let you know.

  • I actually have a legit Orange Gamecube controller, I do live in Toronto and I got it awhile back when GB first came it in Canada. If the orange GB is only in JApan then that sucks :( but orange is a cool colour :]

  • Nice cat

  • WOW ... very nice package .. congrats ...

The yellow gamecube controller is just amazing .. bust the best thing in your package is the Turtles II The Arcade Game ... fucking CLASSIC MAN!!

  • i found a nes advantage controller at a local flea market for 2bucks. (:

  • Not bad??? Jake that's bad ass!!!! I never liked knock off ones ether other then a couple.

  • Great video as always. A review for Super Star Wars would be fantastic if you have the time.

  • Nice joystick! Gotta pick up a nes when I have some cash.

  • Thats a whole lotta stuff there MN!

  • look theres ur cat

  • BOUGHT 2 TODAY, looks like the same manufa

  • Wow, that's some pretty cool stuff you got. They also sell those knock off game cube controllers at Ross for like 7 or 8 bucks. I got a black and purble one and they work just as good as the real ones but at a cheaper price!

  • i had that nes advantage. don't think it ever worked really though because the silicon things for the A and B buttons kinda were messed up. now i have "The Dominator Master Control Infrared Joystick" made by nexoft. i can't really use the joystick because i jsut can't get used to it. jsut plug in controllers into it and use the wireless so don't have to move move nex to play it. i have never seen another one of these besides online. have no idea how rare it is or anything. i like it. no delay.

  • they have those generic controllers for like every game system at game store here. one company is yobo that makes them. they seems to actually make some good stuff. there is a ps2 controller that has no writing on the buttons too. that is kind of odd i think. they are all blank.

  • wow cool stuff didnt notice the game cube controllers are nock offs but how much was that cable for the saturn because i need one

  • The cable was only like 4 bucks!

  • realy not bad to bad i dont live in canada

  • japan had orange gamecubes

  • Yeah I know I wish we got those over here!

  • @MN12BIRD my friend 2 gamecubes and switched the casings lol

  • i remember playing final fantasy on an advantage.......ah the 80s...

  • i have a few of those games that you got there, i will have to watch your reviews! i have yet to do some of my own

  • those 'compatible' controllers have a terrible rumble feature. See my vid on it. I'm very critical of rumble; if it says rumble I want the thing to want to shake out of my hands or at least let me know it's there.

  • Nice pickups. Not a fan of aftermarket controllers either, but it can be easier to buy a pair of those than to search for the real deal.

  • can you please tell me how ebay actaully works

  • You bid for an item. After you win the by being the highest bidder the item gets sent to you by the person who sells it to you by looking at your ebay profile and looking what your address is.

  • Wait was this your first NES Advantage? Do you have the NES Max also?

  • PNP GAMES IS GREAT MAN!!!

  • i have a different kind of game cube controller,it is perfect, and its aftermarket,it kind of looks like that but has the same button feel as a regular GC controller, but it feels better to grip your hands on.

  • Super Star Wars was one of the best snes games out there. Great Buy ! I really feel like buying an old NES or maybe a Yobo or something.

  • Dont buy a yobo it sucks

  • Yep, that one of the reason I havent gotten yet....but I do want just to play some old games, and later buy a good NES, unless I can find a good one, for a good price. Yobo might be just a temporary thing.

  • i actually think the reto duo is not bad now. it is a nes/snes in 1. think it can play import games too but not sure right now.

  • Yep, but I already have a snes, so its not worth it for me to get a retro duo....for the price it might be better to get an original nes! But the retro duo is a good alternative for someone who doesnt have either the nes or the snes.

  • MN12Bird found the wavebird!!!!! lol!!!

  • nes advantage is rockin man

    brings back memories

  • i bet those knock off controlers will break in less than a yeah at most

    more like 2months

  • Nice I got a couple of those NES Advantage controlers... I haven't showed them in any of my vids yet... I find them to be a little hard to play with... But for games like TMNT they are nice to have.... Plus I like the turbo.... You can dial them in to how fast you want the turbo to be.... Nice for games like track and field... hehe

  • STANT RACE FX!!!~~~ EPIC SO SWEET LIKE CHEVRON CARS

nes advantage is perfect for arcade games

    its very well built

  • I was looking at that on Ebay, but the thing that keeps me from doing it is the shipping which just screws up the whole idea.

  • road rash was in the genesis! yay road rash!

  • 2 gamecube controllers for $14? Now THAT'S a good deal.

  • Yeah, I can't find a first-party one for more than $18!

  • Nes Advantage Classic man , alittle sad to see you with those Gamecube controllers other then that sweet items

  • I bought a snes knock-off contoller... it works fine and all but it is crazy cheap feeling. And the cord was like 3.5 feet long.

  • how do spell the user you bought from on ebay?

  • PNP games

  • haha sweet, I also have an orange gc remote xD.

  • Everyone always gets the NES Advantage but never the Maverick 2! It was the arcade stick I had when I was a kid... and when I went over to my friend's house he's be like "OMG OMG did you bring the Maverick 2?!!!" LOL

  • I don't remember the Maverick 2

  • @valkiris lol!!!!!! at your friend

  • Good buys. I too got TMNT II the arcade game back in 91. I remember if was one of the few nes games I had and I really played that game a lot. I finally beat it because it is not nearly as difficult as the 1st one. Your cat freaked me out. I saw it's ear move into frame from behind the box lid and I thought it was a mouse for a sec. Looks a lot like my cat Smokey. I'm amazed how those gamecube controller shells are exactly like the licensed ones. I'm not sure how they are pulling that off.

  • ive seen those controllers at gamestop they are really close to the orignal but there like $15 each used

  • Shadowgate, I used to LOVE that game. You're right about the controllers, the look almost identical to the authentic GC ones but really nice. That NES advantage I used to own back in the day as well. I had it mounted to a coffee table and I used to love playing with it.

  • I've never seen a black Advantage. Didn't know they made one.

  • Me either. I have been in the gaming scene my whole life and never have a seen a black NES advantage.

  • Very cool of you to back up your reviews with the actual games. I need more Gamecube controllers too, broke my 2 Madcatz. Like the bright color scheme on the knockoff. That NES advantage looks mint... a thing of beauty my friend, mine that I got for 3 bucks is ugly but it works good. I love holding it like a regular controller, if you have big enough hands give it a try.

  • Yeah NES advantage is an awesome controller. In fact, I would have to say that it is my favorite controller ever!

  • The Advantage is my second favorite controller ever, the dogbone controller for the toploader NES is my favorite controller ever :D

  • yea man, PNP games is quite good. I've bought tons of snes games and stuff from them.

  • I just picked up a Gamecube used and it came with one of those knockoffs. It really is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

  • I've owned a couple of NES advantages, the A and B buttons aren't very good as they tend to get stuck and are not very sensitive. At least the stick works perfectly...

  • the advantage really suits double dragon, because it's arcade and not simultaneous, so you can switch using the same controller.

  • You got a copy of shadow gate i see!! that game was one of my favorites as a kid!

I lost Shadowgate and Uninvited many years back but just got them back! It totally caught me off guard because both of em showed up in a box from my old house. A day of rejoice!!

  • omg Stunt Race FX is so damn fun!

  • I go to the PNP Games store all the time! I love that place!

You bought from a good place, son!

  • Can you ever make a video of where you put all this stuff Jake?

It must be filling up by now, fuck I live in a house and my place is almost full!!!

  • Their on McCloud Avenue.

  • PNP Games has a store in Winnipeg, I go there all the time for some classic games :).

  • Right on man a good size stack of really great games there. I really need to get another NES Advantage. Awesome video.

  • I have a question. Where do you buy your games?

  • did you even watch the video and read the description?

  • GHOSTBUSTERS 2 any1 remember the statue of liberty controller ?

  • i do, the NES Advantage owned!!

  • yes yes i do

  • that you havent done in a long time. cough cough sonic and knuckles cough. lol anyway nice purchases!

  • tmnt 2 was released in 1990 and mario 3 same thing, its funny cuz i got mario 3 in 1990 but no longer have it of course...some jackass stole it from me when i was a kid...i got to get myself a nes advantage,i love the look of that controller

  • damn your so lucky u can get this kind of stuff .good vid

  • Controller almost looks like something nintendo would put out, but they would put a pikachu on it.

  • YOUR DOING IT WRONG

  • Awesome package you got there!

    The NES Advantage looks nice.
