You spend so long denying and refusing your feelings. Trying desperately to overcome your problems because you dont want to accept that you're losing control. Because you don't want to accept that for years you've been fighting that battle and realize every day that every battle you win only prolongs the war. You don't want to blame anything for your problems and you don't want pity for your trials but then a song like this starts playing and you wonder what it would be like taking another road.
I'm not one to tell my life story on comments but this is really something i can relate to, i ran away but my mom didn't cry when i wanted to leave.I came back home for my little brother <3 and i haven't smoked in like 5 months.There ,really is always at least one reason to come back or one reason that kept you from leaving in the first place..

I think a lot of people are misinterpreting it though... I don't think he wanted to encourage smoking cigs or weed. I calls it an escape, and I don't think it's something he's particuarly proud of seeing as he said he's been smoking since he was ONLY 14 and pot since he was MERELY 16...
