  • I loved this two guys for so long time ...!

    M*

  • At various stages in his life, John Cale has looked like everyone from Augustus John to Leonard Nimoy to Bryan Ferry to Leonard Cohen to the (alleged) 'Badgeman' in Mary Moorman's Kennedy assassination photo! Genius takes many shapes and forms--sometimes in the one person!

  • @9aus untoward comparison don't you think?!

  • @9aus

    +1 internet to you sir.

  • @9aus I didn´t know assholes posted here. I was wrong...

  • I've been listening to this album for nearly15 years and I just love it the more I hear it. The beauty and honesty are sublime.

  • E'perfettamente identica ad una canzone di edoardo bennato che si chiama "tarauntattata'"pubblicata come inedita nel 2000 in un album di canzoni riarrangiate che si chiama "sembra ieri"...Plagio o libera ispirazione?

  • This song always gets me chills, especially in this unplugged version.

  • This is one of my favorite albums from my teenage years. I had good taste.

  • When John sings 'this is the rock group called VA', I cannot help but bursting into tears.

  • I really enjoy the album, and some of the songs actually made me appreciate and understand Andy Warhol´s art better. The eyes that look. The perspective of the spectator. The world is full of art you just have to open your mind. Actually very Oscar Wilde, if you read the first chapters of Dorian Gray.

  • Lou Reed, near the ending, recites titles from Andy Warhol's film output. Yes, the critics "truly hated" them back them.

  • Classic.

  • songs for drelle is unforgetable!!!!!

  • so beautiful!

  • Beautiful, my favourite track from Drella. John and Lou have so much respect for each other, if only they could put their differences behind them. John as always is immaculate. Lou looks cool as ever.

  • This song is so beautiful.

  • thank you lou for adding a contribution at the end

  • we don't have sound but you're so great, you don't have to speak

  • Always makes me smile. The entire album is magic.

  • how much I love you, Lou and John...... <3 <3 <3

  • lou and john <3

  • a song for mcqueen.

  • cute, classic song.

  • Buenísima, pero en realidad me quedo con la del disco. Hecho en falta las cuerdas y demasiado piano para mi gusto. Se podía haber pillado la viola, pero a ver quién es el guapo que la canta.

Let's do a movie here next week. (buenísimo)

Ellos sí que tienen el style that takes!

  • ty jo jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších písniček

  • John Cale, brilliant! Too bad Lou is rewriting the Velvets history omitting Cale.

  • marvellous! thanx to john & lou!! soooo great!!

  • Oh wow. Beautiful.

  • A real five stars

  • andy, lou and john represent new york for me eventhough ive never been there :)

  • That may be a New York that doesn't exist anymore.

  • i know but it will live on in our hearts ;)

  • Warhol is grinning eartoear in his grave.

  • Dois dos maiores génios da musica ( novamente juntos), em homenagem a um génio das artes Warhol.

    Maravilhoso.

  • see "small town"

  • lou reed looks really strange in this tribute to warhol

  • pareja

  • so sweet

  • great song!

  • Lovely smiling on the begening! Amazing John Cale!

  • I know. I'm so excited, I'm seeing John Cale in just a few weeks!!!

  • @uItravioIet They can´t stand each other. Probably it was because Lou was in love with John and John constantly refused him. As it was in autobiography by John Cale.

  • Too absolute geniuses working together.WOW!

You guys should watch 'Barry McCann Memory Box'

  • One absolute genius at work, and also Lou Reed doing his thing.

    Just kidding.

  • this is brilliant pure art from the soul.john cale is a genius.you should check out a songwriter called barry mccann and his song memory box he is beautiful.he is a former member of the band jekyll who had the hit bone "crunching kick to the head" and "animals".he is so beautiful.john cale rules.

  • 0:02 - the smile it takes!

  • I wonder what´s happening in the very beginning :)..nice song anyway

  • Lovely art like my brother said..

Wonderful, Thanks to John Cale And Lou Reed !

  • Wonderful Song.

  • i remember reading that cale and reed, fell out with each other writing this song. lou reed wrote the line "cause they have a style that grates". which john cale hated and refused to ever sing.

ive always wondered what the alternative to that line would have been,

Anyway still a great great song.

  • he sang it just then

  • Edie and Andy of course!

  • It really resumed it all!

  • Lovely art

  • Really nice song this. Cale is a genius. Lou's not bad either! Thanks for posting.

  • I'm god and now I'll shut up.....

  • my favorite song of the album songs for drella....i dont care what anyone says one of the best albums i have...if only more artists would write songs like these....

  • This was an excellent album in my opinion. I'm still not tired of it. Great melodies and lyrics.

  • someone said thay dispise andy....if you listen to this whole album, you will realize each of them LOVED and ADORED andy. it is a shame you missed it. this is a tribute to a man they loved and respected. I was there. I was with Lou and John when they were writing and recording this. I was going thru the diaries with them, I was there when much of this was happening. please do not mis-understand these writings.thanx! :)

  • Lou Reed and John Cale (especially Lou :) would not have done this unless it was a 'labour of love', Songs For Drella' is one of my all time favourite albums, musically and as an insight into Andy Warhol...

  • Stop telling fibs MichaelinSF.
