  • Li ho visti e ascoltati il 16 Luglio 1976 allo Stadio Dall'Ara di Bologna!!!

    Memorabili!

  • @959maxime Cazzarola quanto ti invidio!!!

  • @Piero2374

    Bei tempi!

  • @959maxime Tu pensa, li avrò ascoltati centinaia di volte, eppure ogni volta ( come adesso) mi vengono i brividi ad ascoltarli!!!

  • @Piero2374

    Assolutamente daccordo!

  • @959maxime O.O Idem

  • saw them at roy thomson hall in toronto...1983? One of the best shows I've seen!!

  • When I spend my money to see a group, I demand a level of proficiency as high as this!

Weather Report made the music mean something to their audiences. If you talk to anyone who attended a concert back then, they still talk about it witha sparkle in their eyes!

I cannnot imagine that anyone will do that about the American idol lineups with which we have been saddled over the years.

If you can't put it down like this, don't bother me with an invite!

  • This was the only jazz band (maybe Return to Forever also) that was ever as huge as some of the best rock bands ever like Led Zeppelin. They actually could've played on the same bill as some huge rock band and the fans would've absolutely loved Weather Report too. There would've been none of that "What the hell is this shit, man?" As a matter of fact, they probably would boo when the rock band came on stage.

  • good nice ! Jaco the great !

  • That's a nice sounding drum kit and playing.

  • joya

  • Great

  • Completely Pure...best band ever

  • Every time I hear this, I think of A Tribe Called Quest. lol

  • The best band there ever was, weather report!

  • Whoa... Joe's comping is amazing.

  • FANTASTICI, JACO ENORME!

  • i cant believe they play a music like this in 70's awesome!!

  • R.I.P. Joe Zawinul

  • Can someone tell me what scales did Jaco use? Please

  • @marko92pn what timing? Your question is like "how old was Mozart?" lol If you're talking about 4:50 then he "just" play the II-V-I a 1/2t up and then come back to original key ;-)

  • @jbcraipeau oh God....:)

  • God I love this band. Zawinul is deep! His chord work is IT. I"m gonna look for a big band cover of this tune.

  • love what he does between 2:40 and 2:55!...:)

  • peter is in class by himself love the guys style he did an album of his own called time being some good tunes on it

  • Peter Erskine is so underrated... PHENOMINAL DRUMMER! ONE OF MY FAVOURITE!

  • The best !!!!

  • Can anyone tell me what song this is? I'm fairly familiar with Weather Report, although admittedly I'm more of a fan of Jaco in general, so I never dug too deep into Weather Report.

Can someone help me out here? I'm loving this way too much not to know what song it is.

  • @MrStrangeSensation you've probably figured this out by now but it's "Young and Fine" like it says in the title

  • @jryuwah

Ironically, I JUST figured that out like 2 days ago. I recently purchased (NOT downloaded) a few more WR albums and I finally heard the song "Young & Fine".

When I made that post 3 months ago, I saw the title, but I know that there was a DVD release entitled "Young & Fine", so I didn't realize that the SONG was actually called the same. Derp. But thanks for answering anyway.

  • sickness

  • This is my favorite Jaco groove.

  • Man back in the days, when quality didn't effect the sound of the song. man today, alot of live band performances performances suck beyond belief when you watching through a standard video camera.

  • Jaco joined the band for the Black Market studio work & when later they needed a drummer Jaco recommended Peter, since they were "cut buddies" for several years prior. Everybody on this stage is a master musician & the world has beneffited greatly from their collaborations.

  • puta som! inspirador! melodias e mais melodias wayne com zawinul dah pena, sem mencionar na cozinha no auge

  • Erskine and Pastorius were perfect together.

  • Jaco sounds like he beefed up his tone with a little more bass for this one. Sounds good.

  • alternate version rare AMAZING

  • Young and Fine is my favorite Weather Report tune. Love Jaco's crispy bass on this one

  • There is only one description for the band and the music...

    Perfect !

I humbly get on my knees...

  • HOW DO YOU NOT LIKE THIS!?

eRSKINE IS KICKING ALL HELL OUT THE SKINS ON THIS ONE!

Sorry about the caps, I got a bit carried away.

The whole band is on top of it, and Jaco, on the one as usual.

    Love it!

  • i like this vid cos i can c what jaco would have looked like from a seat in the audience! :O RIP GUYZ i soooo wonna c him... iv had a dream about it lolol!

  • Greatest band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hear that man. Jaco's a true autuer. Hes the man. I miss him.

  • They Found jaco's bass recently.

  • Yeah and it looks nothing like it did before. Jaco had a veneer put on it. Looks terrible now, though I bet it still sounds godly...

now we just need the funk machine
