  • Sad, I understand, but I met a guy like stephen hawking who uses older technology to speak. Called my friend a good man, the he called me a good man. Then.........it all went dark

  • I am not trying to disagree with anyone, and I truly do love this band. But every single one of their songs makes me sad. I can only think of saddest times or miss the best.

  • I'm afraid I'll never not cry when I listen to this magnificently arranged song because of him. Damn.

  • I love how there are 187 likes and 0 dislikes

  • I remember having a bad day at work, after I listened to this, it was all fixed.

  • Sometimes I stop listening to EITS for a while.

Then days when I really need something to help me up when no ones there, I realize how much I love this band when a single one of their songs can pull me out of the shipwreck.

  • I think we should all get together and strangle the first person who dislikes this video.

  • scrubra, I suppose in this particular case that you are right. Amends shall be made: sowyourseeds, upon your death, may you goto heaven and this track will be the sound of the natural order of things and even though you will hear this song for a period greater than 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 trillion trillion trillon years, may you not become weary nor bored of it as you sit idle in the concept of heaven (aka infinity).

  • You put me here.

    To you, it's the end.

To me, it's just the beginning.

    There's a world in here.

    The mind is endless.

    I am free.

  • Qué maravilla...

  • Wow.

  • @DutchMuncher irk, dildos.

  • i was having the worst week....i went hiking by myself, it was around 5ish so the sun was going down. i dont think there was anyone hiking at that time so i was completely alone. i was listening to explosions in the sky the whole time. i found a nice little spot to sit, it was at the edge of a cliff, i sat down and just stared off into the horizon. this song came on and it was the most peaceful ive probably ever been. just nature, this song, and my thoughts. i guess its the simple things...<3

  • 111 Likes, no Dislikes. This is pure beauty.

  • @Nicklolable Shhh... Let's pray this will last, but speak of it, we shall not.

  • scrubrat90: in fact, you will not make it to a place called heaven, because it does not exist. Upon your death, you will cease to exist. Therefore, enjoy what you enjoy now, for life is short!

  • i like how there's civilized arguments over EITS songs but for everything else on you tube, is just barbaric 12 years old fighting over who's right.... its just the power of this band? lol

  • I just witnessed two guys become friends from what started to be an argument over money. Explosions in the Sky can do some amazing things.

  • @darkshplendor erm. How about no? Buy it yourself and support the artists that deserve it.

  • @NightmareRoute

as much as i agree to that, you also have to realize that not everybody have the same resources or capability to buy music. in many places only certain music is sold and you cant find a variety. now stop being difficult, money is illusionary anyway, im sure the musicians would be happy it reached some where rather than none at all.

  • @MorbidMayhem Bottom line, the guy asked for an illegal copy, I said no. "Money is illusionary anyway" is a nice kick in the teeth to the band.

  • @NightmareRoute i think a kick in the teeth is a bit of an over statement regarding that the music companies themselves often rob the band out of most of it's revenue, im not entitling you to not give the band your money, because one burned copy will lead you to go to a concert, buy a shirt, buy another album etc etc. Equivently to the metal tape trading scene, and today's blogspot rar sharing, you often give back to what you have recieved in time. now relax. your tensioncontradictsthesonicvibes

  • @MorbidMayhem hmmm. I agree with you to an extent. I get what the benefits of sharing and word of mouth and all the rest -- but what happened to paying for what you get? And smaller labels? Remember walking into a shop, picking up a CD and committing to it? We're so uncritical of music that it hurts. Paying for an album makes you really listen to it, where downloading it illegally is a different story. "Don't like, skip, like, it's ok, not bothered about the rest." Anyway - back to the music :)

  • @NightmareRoute

you know what i agree with you, you do need to add avalue to music i just dont htink there is no value in money. haha theres the root of MY problem but hey you made a good point. BUT i have to say downloading music does also motivate people to go buy more stuff, at least thats the defense in my case. dont like it, delete it, simple as that :)

  • @MorbidMayhem yeah man there's definitely arguments for and against! I just think there's plenty of other ways of checking out what an album sounds like without resorting to ripping the whole thing. It's hard though because I'd gladly let someone borrow a CD - I don't know what moral ground that leaves me on lol - I guess if it was something they liked I'd tell them to buy it :)

  • @darkshplendor

best thing to do is download the whole album through a blogspot or most often u can find them on rapidshare. that would be your downloading zip files and u have a zip file opener.

  • This song... I feel so sad, but at the same time like there's hope. Like, even though things seem like they will never get better, they will, you just have to keep going.

  • this makes me feel malancholic like i've lost everything..and it's soo sweet in the same time..

  • I heard this song (well, a fragment of it) for the first time, on Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now!" this morning.

  • If I ever make it to a place called heaven, this is what it will sound like.

  • I am reborn every time I listen to this song.
