Loved the day we finally beat WCW. Never hated them, as JR said, "they were the team we played every Monday night", but I was WWF through and through. Never watched WCW. It's a shame that WWE is so poor nowadays.
To be honest I think people give WCW way more credit then they deserved when it came to winning the Monday Night Wars for nearly two years, the ratings were close, not extremely close, but close if Nitro drew a 3.9, WWF drew a 3. or a 2.9. It isn't like when WCW was going up against the Attitude Era and Raw was drawing a 6.2 and Nitro was barely drawing a 2.5. Nitro never slaughtered Raw in the ratings, they may have put a hurting on Raw, but that is about it.
the only reason i still watch wwe is cause of the heritage in it...tna doesnt have any, and the stories arnt that entertaining...wwe is starting to get entertaining again, since it hasnt been since like 2005

I liked this video a lot more than the Monday Night War DVD, which I wish I hadn't wasted my money on. This is more objective and shows both promotions' best moments of the Monday Night War (except for Oklahoma haha). WWE did not prove anything. They stole the whole "attitude" era from WCW who were doing that stuff first with the NWO. WWE became a soap opera and not a wrestling show. It was pathetic. What was funny was that here in the UK (for all of you that can remember in the UK) we actually had the Friday Night Wars, as both Raw and Nitro were shown at 9pm on Sky sports and Bravo (who now show tna) respectively. I used to watch Nitro more until around late 98 as i felt they had a better product. That was until 1999 when WWF found the perfect balance between wrestling and storylines. Sigh, those were the days.

I loved the WWF Attitude too but that was just copied from ECW. The easiest proof was after ECW folded WWF/WWE storylines sucked cause they didn't have any ideas to steal. If ECW had ever made it to the level WWF and WCW was business wise We'd be watching real wrestling and WCW and WWF as sub companies I doubt paul would've been an asshole like Vince. ECW would've won the war. Popularity wise they along with WCW beat WWF back in 95, 96 when people chanted ECW on WWF TV. ECW beat WCW around 99 or 00 with the buyrates and gate money in the midwest Events.

@Furpop But ECW wasn't just blood and guts they had traditional wrestling otherwise they would'nt have made it from the start. They had real wrestling much like WCW they actually used the puroresu style. Those customers eventually left WWF just look at how desperate they got to get back up at the top. Vince was the Victor but only because one company could'nt cross the line and they took the timeslot of another wrestling company. But then again karma is a bitch when your wrong.

WWE did not prove anything. They stole the whole "attitude" era from WCW who were doing that stuff first with the NWO. WWE became a soap opera and not a wrestling show. It was pathetic. The only reason why WCW went out of business was because of the Time Warner merger with Turner broatcasting and they did not allow WCW to anything that was not family friendly, hence why WWE is still here. But now the greats from WCW have returned in TNA and we have a new war on our hands...

What was funny was that here in the UK (for all of you that can remember in the UK) we actually had the Friday Night Wars, as both Raw and Nitro were shown at 9pm on Sky sports and Bravo (who now show tna) respectively. I used to watch Nitro more until around late 98 as i felt they had a better product. That was until 1999 when WWF found the perfect balance between wrestling and storylines. Sigh, those were the days.
