I still can't believe that Liz Phair put out this album. My friend went to high school with her (New Trier). She's totally North Shore and was definitely slumming in Wicker Park.  I can't get her hs yearbook image out of my mind. Elizabeth Phair in a pearl necklace.

Cool vid, though it doesn't beat the movie that ran in my mind all the times I listened to it through the years. This is one of those rare albums that I can't just listen to one song, must listen to the whole album all the way through every time I click it on my ipod. wow, shepgold never knew this mentioned galaxy 500, weird. i must go back and review the transcripts from my misspent post-adolescence. to the archives!

Must have been O'hare. Let me guess, you wrote this on an airplane. Pretty cool perspective. Reminds me of Dylan making up a song from a sign, a menu or something in NY I think. Not many people have this gift. I think it's the arrangements, the ebb and flow of the music, lyrics and singing are engaging. Those 3 elements seem detached until key moments. Very cool.
