The cheesy brand of reggae that this song is parodying paints an unrealistic portrait of Jamaican living and this track is meant to draw attention towards social issues and grim realities that this okie bastardization of rocksteady would otherwise ignore. Is the song filled with generalizations? Sure, but satire is meant to be an exaggeration of the truth; no form of humour is funny without being offensive.
