im from new york. going to roland martins marina and renting a boat. n e body know any good spots? i got skunked last year.....bigest fish i caught up here was a 6.5lb largemouth. looking to land a 10lber in the big O
spooks is what i like, put a storm suspend dot 2-3 on the tail to get more left to right motion out of it, some dont have enough wake action straight out of the package, so i mod the bait a little.
it's so annoying when gators start crowding around you when using top water lures. i use skitter pops by holiday park and sawgrass rec area and gators almost always come and ruin my fishing
The only place that I have fished from the shore was in the rim canal at the Belle Glade camp ground. I use to catch quite a few but I haven't been there since hurricane Wilma, so I don't know how it is these days.
Winnies cove was a cove on the right side of Boy Scout cut. Unfortunately, it was completely wiped off the lake when hurricane Wilma hit the late in 2005. Also the Florida water management lowered the lake to historic low levels. Now
the lake level has come up from 9ft to 15ft. When the lake was at 9ft there were trees and other vegitation growing where Winnies cove use to be. We are now learning how and where to fish again. Any questions, do not hesitate to ask. John
thanks for the info.. i bass fish in tourneys down at the lake of the ozarks but never really go into poppers.. takes the right time of day from what i heard.. I usually fish with ratl'n traps.. jig and pigs and 7" blue fleck powerworms..
i have a questions for you. Im going fishing okeechobee soon and i wanna buy a rapala skitter pop lure. Could you please help me and tell me how to work it? i really appreciate your help.
Wow, nice catch!
