  • I'm glad you confronted the atrocity that was: Goldberg v Lesnar, especially right out the gate... the promotion for it was very good: cross-brand titans who at the time were considered the equivalent of each other cheating each other out of titles/title matches, sounds like a main event right there! falls COMPLETELY flat on its face! and their exits were a stunner by Austin (and I don't even remember if he had a reason to stunner Goldberg)

  • Bret Hart vs Owen Hart is the best match of all time.

  • The best overall WMs with at-least 4 or more great matches on the card are: 10, 17, 19 & 20

    The best WMs with a great main-event and/or a great stand-out match are: 3, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 16, 18, 21

  • Some of the earlier WM's had great main-events ( 5, 6, 12) or one stand-out match ( 3, 8, 11, 13,) and painfully average undercards. All the big names of the day were on the card but in seemingly random matches that didn't deliver.

The undercards of WM 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 were mostly worthless matches thrown together at the last minute and the focus was either on the WWF title match or another specialty match on the card like Austin/Bret Hart at WM 13.

  • The beauty part of AKEBONO-BIG SHOW match was/is that AKEBONO developed a somewhat-successful pro wrestling career in Japan/Internationally cuz of it...He's won several Tag/6-man/Specialty Titles w/in the last few years alone (AJPW All-Asian & "Unified" Tag,Dragon Gate "Open The Triangle Gate" 6-Man,et al)...

  • I feel the best Wrestlemania is 20. Or at least from the last 10 years, anyway.

With Wrestlemania 20, you really felt like it was a monumental moment. And it also had the best Wrestlemania ending ever with Eddie & Benoit, both world champions, embracing in the ring.

  • I'm also extremely glad that someone agrees with me on the greatness of WM 8. Sure, I would've picked someone different than Sid to main event, but that show had a ton of matches and all of them were good. Not to mention that Flair/Savage and Piper/Hart were classics.

  • I'm glad that there are people who are just as pissed off as I am about Triple H not putting Booker T over at WM 19. It's one of the worst things they ever did. Such a great buildup to that match, and Book was super over at the time. What a missed opportunity. F**k Paul Levesque.

  • FLAIR-'TAKER at WM 18 was actually 1 of THE BEST of "THE STREAK"...Right up-there w/ MICHAELS-'TAKER at WM 26...

  • 10 was amazing, owen vs bret, bret vs yokozuna, hbk vs razor ramon ladder match, classic wrestlemania

  • as far as best, Wrestlemania 10 ranks as one of the best ppvs period. worst, i would say 15, 13, 2, and 9

  • I personal disagree with Undertaker not having any WM moments; I thought winning the title from Sid at 13 was pretty great.

  • Hey, Eric i think you said this in another video but what are your favorite Wrestlemanias? Mine are 14 and 17

  • are you serious? Austin's heel turn was fucking awesome, no one saw it coming it was brilliant. It didn't tarnish the match at all. It was like either you were absolutely pissed that he turned heel or you absolutely loved it.

  • The Bret vs Owen match is fantastic, just watching it now actually. However, I have noticed a minor issue with it. Bret actually taps out to the sharpshooter, but the referee ignores it.

  • @SPJay100 That's because tapping out didn't exist in wrestling yet. It wasn't until Ken Shamrock came to the WWF in 1997 that tapping out was introduced as a signal of submission. Until then, it was 'verbal', so you'd often not know someone submitted until the ref. rang the bell.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I stand corrected. However, I still like the fact that Owen made Bret tap.

  • @SPJay100 IF that WOULD've applied and Owen won, IT WOULD HAVE FUCKING HAD A HUGE POP

  • @WrestlingRoundtable or in the case of vince mcmahon..just calls for the bell whenever he wants..

  • Better times, these were....

  • Wrestlemania nine thru eleven was garbage

  • 3:33 my life in 2 words

  • Undertaker vs.Kevin Nash at WM 12 is one of the most underrated matches ever, and that's saying a lot when you consider how otherwise overrated Kevin Nash(Diesel) is as a worker in-ring.

  • Every PPV is bound to have a snoozer match.

  • I,for one, loved the 20 man battle royal at Wrestlemania II which featured NFL players.Wrestlemania III sure had its share of dud matches for having 2 of the most memorable matches in wrestling history. For example, the 6 man mixed tag team featuring Hillbilly Jim vs. King Kong Bundy.

  • miz/morrison-the colons being forced in2 being a dark match was another...they had some-2-alot of hype 4 it...it was supposed 2 be the tag titles unification...& YET...they push it 2 dark match...& put a stupid divas battle royal/miss wrestlemaina thingy (that a man in drag won,btw)/kid rock thingy,as well...yikes...just saying...

  • i wanted Diseal to win

  • As amazing as the athleticism was, Angle vs. Lesnar at WMXIX just leaves me cold. I simply didn't care who won, I wasn't emotionally invested in either guy, and the finish sucked. Even if Brock HAD hit the Shooting Star, it's still a drawn-out and anticlimactic ending, and kind of makes Angle look weak.

On the other hand -- had ANGLE pinned Lesnar after he fucked up, it's an awesome ending: Lesnar's the classic overconfident bad buy and shooting himself in the foot after having the match won.

  • Don't people get tired of blaming everything on Triple H and Hogan and their politcis? Nothing happens on Vince's shows without Vince giving it his approval. If he wanted Hogan/Sid last, that's his call. If he wants Triple H as champion, that's Vince's call. Triple H has a say but him and Vince have been quoted several times about how they argue over finishes etc. and Triple H admits, that when Vince decides something that's how it goes. Period

  • Wretlemania 5, MEGA POWERS COLLIDE!

  • Rock Hogan is my favourite Wrestlemania match, the crowd, buildup and the way the Rock switched into a more heelish mode after receiving boos made it incredible for me.

  • WM 14 was probably the best overall, but I've always had a soft spot for WM 4 as it was the first wrestling show I saw as a kid.

  • @RKOY2J2792

I know we're supposed to fill in the blanks and all, but I was shocked the Ladder Match at WMX wasn't mentioned! Oh well. Can't please everyone. But I'm pleased most of the time. Great show.

  • @RKOY2J2792 Especially since Shawn Michaels' star had shined the brightest at WrestleMania.

  • i remember rock and hogan...it wasnt the greatest match at 18, but it was the most emotional on the show

  • BIll Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX was an utter farce!Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was the special guest referee, ended up being the focal point of the match because of the bad timing of both Goldberg and Lesnar leaving at the same time.

  • WresleMania just doesn't mean what it used to anymore because when it began, there were no other PPVS,or it was referred to then as closed circuit television.

  • miz/morrison-the colons wouldve been 1 of the best..if only wwe/the mcmmahons let it on2 the main ppv...instead of santinas homecoming/the divas debacle/kid rock wasting our time w/ a concert that lasted way 2 long...

  • Despite the Goldberg/Lesnar match sucking ass, I do think Goldberg got one of the biggest pops of the night for his entrance at WM 20, which is what alot of the crowd wanted to see while Lesnar got no reaction. I think WM 6 was one of the best Wrestlemanias because it featured all the top stars of the late 80s into the early 90s, pretty much a solid midcard lineup..Bossman/Akeem, Martel/Koko, Demoliton/Colossal Connection, DiBiase/Roberts ect

  • @BrandonTheBeast83 Sure WM 6 had a great line-up of talent from the 80s but the matches were all hastily thrown together, barely went past 5 minutes with 14 matches on the card and mostly ended in DQ or count-out. Jake Roberts vs Ted DiBiase was the 2nd biggest match-up on the card and was a dull match that ended by count-out at the 8 min mark.

It's a pity L.O.D didn't debut until June of that year, they could've faced the Hart Foundation in the 2nd face vs face match on the card.

  • when you said "I hate wrestlemania 19" I was like "wtf????" lol

  • The only good thing about the HHH + Booker T match is that I swear to god it's the last time I remember seeing an Indian Leg Lock

  • Of course Shawn Michaels matches at Wrestlemania always steals the show.

  • Rey, Orton, and Angle was a good match...9:00 minutes and quick, who wants 20 minutes of boredom? Come on...

  • worst wrestlemania? and no-one says wm 9?

  • Wrestlemania 9 was second worst to Wrestlemania 11. Wrestlemania 9 did not lose money and have technical production glitches like 11 did. Wrestlemania 9 had a passable main event until the Hogan big foot and a couple of okay mid card matches like Michaels carrying Tatanka. Only Undertaker / Giant Gonzalez was epic all time bad on the Wrestlemania 9 card and 9 did feature the WWF debut of Jim Ross.

  • stupid question 4 eric &/or anyof the roundtable...given akebonos recent "success" in dragon gate/"monkey -strangling campionship wrestling"/ all-japan./et al...if u were 2 revise "best/worst 'big men'"...where would u put him?!?!?!?...

  • u people need to really wise up. WM X7 was one of the best. the image of austin and vince in epic

  • How about "U" state your opinion and leave it at that? Because we don't agree we're not "wise?" Aside from barely readable, your statement on Austin/McMahon is your OPINION and I couldn't agree less

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • WM 9 was the worst, Bret loses the title by getting sand thrown in his eyes and then Hogan beats a winded Yoko in 20 secs.

  • Until the end, though, that's a very underrated match between Bret and Yoko.

  • Yoko actually ended it early because he was exhausted, there was supposed to be another 5 mins to the match.

  • It is short, true, but still pretty good. And still pretty underrated.

  • 'taker-V-morrison COULD/SHOULD/WOULD be THE MAIN EVENT of WM26...&...i (personally)think it could/should/would be (A) 4 THE "world" title...&/or...(B) 'taker would/should/could "do THE honors" 4 morrison & have "THE 'shaman'" be THE 1 "2 break 'THE STREAK'"...C-L-E-A-N!!!!!...

  • 18 at the skydome and the buildup to rock-hogan was unreal.after that i didnt really care for mania at all.

  • I don't think anyone else did either, ha. Though the Undertaker/Flair match was pretty good, no one certainly cared after Hogan/Rock because that's the match everyone wanted to see!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I can't understand WWE's reluctance to insist a title match must be the main event at mania. Rock Hogan should have topped the bill at 18! 2002 as a year was awful, after a great start with the NWO coming and HHH's comeback, the NWO soon became a joke with the likes of Booker and Xpac, and the title lost all significance with it changing hands every two seconds! Seriously, why did Hogan, Michaels and Show need a pointless one month run?

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I can't understand WWE's reluctance to insist a title match must be the main event at mania. Seriously, why did Hogan, Michaels and Show need a pointless one month run?

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I totally agree, it still blows my mind and I may be a "WWE apologist" but give me a break Hogan vs. Rock should gone last even Jericho admitted that and seeing those two walk away perfect ending to a Wrestlemania. Funny thing, about Warrior vs. Hogan I think it was the first time in my watching wrestling. I didn't want to see either get submit or get pinned. Same thing with Undertaker vs. HBK Wrestlemania XXVI.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable Yeah Jericho vs HHH was an afterthought following the Rock/Hogan match.

Undertaker vs Ric Flair was the best match on the card in my opinion and a match that surpassed expectations. This was Flair's best match in a long time and Taker was at his absolute best doing the Big Evil persona and gave Flair a beating. That Superplex off the top rope by Taker on Flair is probably the highest and most impactful superplex I've ever seen and you knew Flair was in pain after it.

  • Bret and Owen had the best match at WrestleMania X it should have won match of the year.

  • It probably would have if they didn't have the classic steel cage match at SummerSlam

  • Undertaker vs. Kane at WM14 sucked. It was so boring. The Pete Rose moment was cool, but that's all.

Austin vs. Michaels at WM14 really didn't deliver, but both guys were injured, so they really could not have done better than they did.

WM14 didn't have a bad match, but it really didn't have any memorable matches either. It is significant only because it represented the official beginning of the Austin era, where Raw would beat Nitro in the ratings.

  • I thought UT/Kane had it's moments in the match. Austin/Michaels obviously wasn't up to the level it could have been, being a post-neck-injury Austin & post-back-injury Michaels, but for the level of match Michaels in particular was able to put on in SUCH pain, that really showed me something and made it special in addition to being the symbolic passing of the torch to truly christen to the Attitude era.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable True. WM14 was all about the christening of the Attitude Era and the whole card just exemplified the Attitude Era and was a stark contrast to WM 13 just a year before.

Austin/Michaels wasn't spectacular for reasons which you mentioned but it wasn't terrible, it had it's moments and accomplished what it needed to.

Taker/Kane I loved as a kid because of the build-up and even now I think it was a pretty solid match with some great spots. Kane looked amazingly agile back here.

  • I liked Rey vs Kurt vs Orton.

  • I think WM 17 was the best, it had matches for all tastes. And the ending couldn't have been any better.

  • The ending is exactly what holds it back in my eyes, heh. I thought it was stupid to turn Austin heel in the first place, let alone in Texas of all places, but regardless, the match before that was a classic, and the rest of the card, like you said, had a lot of great variety delivering good matches.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • WrestleMania 9 for me was the worst. Did not like the venue, or the aftermath of the main event.

  • I agree

I didn't like Wrestlemania 11 because it was main evented by a celebrity

  • Did we really need to see Hogan winning the title at that event

  • Agreed on the aftermath of the main event but I liked the Caesar's Palace theme :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @danlfc1983 The match selection for that one was horrible too.

  • i think wm25 was the worst also, as good as hbk vs taker was, the main event sucked, cena vs edge vs big slow sucked, mitb sucked, everything sucked! It basically showed that wwe won't go hardcore anymore, let alone it showed that it's now for kids.

  • Wrestlemainia 12 had the best main event to date... one hour of great high quality entertainment. not only great technical wrestling (from both bret and HBK) but also great high flying action... also great suspense build up after the 0-0 tie after the hour... and how excited the crowd got once the sudden death over time was announced... the right man won the match that cemented hbk into wrestling history... great main event over all 10 out of 10

  • In my opinion, that is still my favorite match of all time. It's been 13 years later and nothing has come close, maybe Hollywood Hogan versus The Rock at Wrestlemania X8 but for different reasons.

  • benoit and guerrero celebrating world title win was a great moment

  • Bam Bam VS. Lawrence Taylor...worst WM main event ever!

  • Can't agree there ; I think Lawrence Taylor delivered above and beyond expectations for a celebrity and Bigelow carried him through a decent match(great selling by Bam Bam!).

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I'm not taking anything away from the late great Bam Bam Bigelow, but essentially you have a non-champion headlining WM against a non-wrestler! Why not have Diesel and Michaels in the main event?

  • I guess in the post-steroid scandal period the WWF was trying to get as much press attention as possible. And it really worked, I think. That got TONs of coverage, and when you have people tuning in to see something, you gotta save it for last.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable That main event with LT vs.Bam Bam could have flopped just as easily as it turned out a success, and the smart fans were expecting that too.

  • Wrestlemania 11 was the worst Wrestlemania ever and nothing comes close. In fairness to Lawrence Taylor and Bigelow, that was the best celebrity wrestling match of all time, but McMahon over paid for it by giving Bam Bam 6 figures to job and Taylor a million just to wrestle 1 match. Wrestlemania 11 lost so much money it almost forced the WWF to close down. Even the production was crap with bad audio and video screw ups, which you never have on a McMahon run show, so Wrestlemania 11 was lousy.

  • Yeah that was bad but if they main evented it with the title match which was great: Micheals and Diesel, that mania would have been better.

  • @keh678 That match wasn't in the main event at WM 11 because Vinnie Mac wasn't confident in Diesel(Kevin Nash) being the flagship guy for the company.

  • @MRobert21 WWF was at its lowest point ever in 1995.It's a wonder they survived that at all, like you said.

  • I watched growing up almost all of the wrestlemanias live on ppv. WM3 was my most memorable. Mainly cause of Hogan/Andre. I was rooting for Warrior at WM6, only because I was sick of Hogan winning all the time. The Mountie/Santana "match" at WM7 kind of makes me laugh when I watch because of how ridiculously quick it was. I remember the crowd dying after the Savage/Flair match. Tatanka/Martel put on a good match but the crowd was exhausted by then. HHH over Booker was ridiculous!!

  • Not only that, if I'm not mistaken, Tatanka/Martel was the first match after intermission also. Not exactly a match to light a fire under the crowd's ass. Plus, the matches everyone cared about were in the first half anyway(Piper/Bret, Undertaker/Jake Roberts, Flair/Savage). I don't remember anything in the second half being worthwhile until Warrior came back.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Yeah the crowd was going nuts for Savage/Flair. And then right after intermission the crowd just sat on their hands till Hogan/Sid came out. Warrior got one of the biggest pops in Wrestling History that night. I will still hold that as one of the most memorable moments of all time. I still get chills watching it.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I have to agree with you on Booker vs. HHH the match wasn't horrible, but the finish was awful, maybe the worst World Title finish in Wrestlemania history. I don't dislike HHH but I mean could it really have hurt him to put Booker over and maybe win the title back, in July of that year than put Goldberg in September?

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I forgot all about that Tatanka vs.Rick Martel match at Wrestlemania VIII.It couldn't have been that memorable if I forget it.

  • My two favorite matchs of all time, let alone Wrestlemania match were Austin-Hart(with the double turn) and Brett vs HBK.

  • i cant believe they never mentioned the best main event match of all time at wrestlemania XII bret vs shawn i mean come on that match stands out us it went on for over an hour you'll never beat that match but thats my opinion i do not want a comment battle but would love your thoughts and views on your fav matches respet all

  • idk i disagree i think that Brock's fucked up shooting star was mermorable cause He fucked it up. i say wrestlemania 16 was bad. best wrestlemania 21 or 24

  • Memorable? Yes. Good? No, heh.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • wm 11

  • Wrestlemania 9 was awful. Only one good match, and it ended in countout.

  • Yeah, the two best matches of that show were at the beginning. Tatanka/HBK that ended in countout and Steiner Bros/Headshrinkers.

  • wm25...sucked except for hbk vs taker

  • The Irresistible Force meeting the Immovable Object, I don't know WM 6, 14, 18, and 20 all come to mind. Hogan vs Rock was magic, I have watched it so many times. Hogan and Warrior, even though as a kid I pulled for Warrior....it is funny when you grow up and realize that all of your heros, where just some guy on drugs. SCSA bleeding and not tapping out, Stone Cold and Rock is great as well and Micheal's and Jericho....as far as bad, Brock and Goldberg have set the standard for ass.

  • WM17 was my absolute fav. the card was great fans were into it the main event was one hell of a main event i loved the heel turn tht Austin did what a great WM i think tht was one of WWE's last good WMs

  • Booker T got screwed, fucked, and whatever else you want to call it. Vince sucks. I'm gonna start a wrestling promotion with mostly black and latin and other minority stars.

  • Yes he did. I just watched the promo HHH cut on him before WM19 back and it was so fucked up that he beat Booker after that. Anyway, now that you mention it, I don't know if this ever came to fruition, but I remember a story years ago that BET was going to be starting their own promotion. I'm guessing that never happened, but hey, maybe Cryme Tyme will finally get their tag title run at SummerSlam, years too late

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • MTV kinda fucked up with WSX though I wached it. BET could'nt do any better but I feel that the more channels that are having wrestling, the more variety we get and hopefully competition for Vince so he'll be forced to get his shit together. Ah wishfull thinking.

  • Santamaria, you mentioned the crowd at Wrestlemania XX during Brock Lensar versus Goldberg. When I watch this match on WM XX DVD. I didn't notice the crowd booing and jeering. Until they began "chanting this match sucks" Ah, Original ECW/ROH fans. Gotta love them. Question for you, maybe a Submission Round Question: ROH, the successor to the Original ECW in terms of cultivating or preparing guys for TNA or WWE? Like the Original ECW did for guys going to WWE or WCW?

  • I don't trust WWE DVDs since who knows what they did with the audio, heh, but also there are often times when crowd noise-level/reactions don't necessarily translate to the broadcast either. But that's ok, because we were there in the arena so you can trust our word, heh. Is ROH the successor to ECW in terms of preparing guys for WWE/TNA? Sure, but in a much less indirect way, heh - ECW was funded in part by WWE, ROH is not. But aside from that, yes.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I kinda think Taker had his "moment" at 13...you always see the picture of Taker drowned in purple light, kneeling down, eyes rolled back, with the old winged eagle belt...that's his moment. I don't think he'll have another moment until his streak is beaten (which, I promise, is gonna be Jack Swagger).

And no mention of the Lord Voldemort/Eddie picture at the end of 20? C'mon...last time I truly marked out.

  • That Taker/Sid match was horrible especially because Bret Hart kept interfering. Stone Cold/Hart was a monumental match, but it was the ONLY good one at WM13.

  • It wasn't about the match...it was about the moment. We all know the match was the shits (so much Sid actual shit himself, rumor has it), but that closing moment with Taker holding the belt is immortal...it's still used in the opening montage today.

  • Sure, I think Undertaker's title wins against Sid, Batista & Edge can easily be considered his "moments."

As for the end of WM20, yes, it was GREAT at the time, but I can't feel the same about it now with all that's happened, to both.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • You guys are surprisingly entertaining, keep up the good work

  • Surprisingly? Thanks I guess, heh

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Well, when I see quote un-quote "non-professionals" do something on youtube, it's honestly horrible, this was entertaining----hence, it did surprise me, but it's a compliment lol

  • Ok, totally get where you're coming from, heh. I will take the compliment in it's proper context, and yes, they are horrible, heh. Part of the reason we do the show! Thanks again.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I should say, honestly usually horrible****

  • Wrestlemania vs. Starcade vs. Super Clash? Anyone? Triple Threat, anyone?

  • I think undertakers moment its not wrestlemania but its when he chokeslammed edge off the ladder through the ring and when he held both arms out on one knee and the fire came out from under the ring

  • That was one of the corniest looking things in wrestling history.

  • omg, u guys make great points yay Wrestlemania X8's main event wasnt bad but it could have been dont better, u never know. you guys are good.

  • Thanks! All it would have taken is 1. Not putting it after Rock/Hogan since that's the match people cared more about 2. Focusing on Jericho being the one who "injured HHH" in the first place and not putting him with Stephanie as her bitch.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • For the integrity of the sport, I think guys like these would make great promoters though you need business skills which as we know in wwe seems to be the only thing Vince cares about anymore.

  • That's an incredible compliment! Thank you very much for that

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Now, we need to be clear. You can't really blame WWE for Goldberg vs. Lesnar maybe being the biggest letdown in Wrestlemania history. Like Harris said it was their last night with WWE... is WWE going to terminate them if they don't rock the house? Can't really blame Lesnar apparently he was getting some awful creative ideas on Smackdown! after Wrestlemania and Goldberg pretty much said in interviews he wanted out of WWE after his five star dream match with Rock at Backlash 2003.

  • Actually, we can ; Firstly, they didn't promote Goldberg/Lesnar really, at least beyond a couple PPV interactions - by the time March came around, they were focusing more on Austin/Lesnar! Secondly, I don't know this for certain, but I feel watching it it was 'typical WWE-style big man match' instead of the kick-ass match we know those two could have delivered. In other words, WWE wouldn't want them doing moonsaults & shooting stars, etc. Shoulderblocks are much better! But I could be wrong.

    -E

  • @WrestlingRoundtable The should've had the same sort of match Goldberg and Scott Steiner had at WCW Fall Brawl 2000. They hit eachother with a whole bunch of awesome suplex variations and generally just went really hard and stiff in a back and fourth brawl with a few decent weapon spots thrown in the mix.

In the Goldberg/Lesnar match it was just your typical big-man, staredown, move for move, hold for hold match, it was like they were trying to repeat Hogan/Warrior.

  • i agree

  • good point they made with the 3 way match with angle orton and misterio....match should have gone atleast 15 minutes long and the crowd didnt even pop that huge for misterio because it came out of nowhere...wrestlemania 21 with cena and JBL was pretty bad crowd didnt pop huge for cena when he won seeing that he was the most 2 or 3 over guys on the roster...batista vs HHH wasnt too good either

  • My the worst wrestlemania moment for me, was Salt And Peppa siging what a man.

  • Come on! :) "Bam Bam, you gonna get slammed!" Classic, haha. At least they looked hot doing it

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I liked the WM2000 main event, having a heel win was a nice change

  • There forgetting so much stuff that I want

    to be in that roundtable

  • Ok, well, that's the idea : You could simply type some of your ideas here and fill in any gaps you feel we missed. That'd be a better use of this space than simply telling us we're forgetting stuff & leaving it at that. It's your show too. Of course, that's if you're not busy making more booty shakin videos ;) Which wouldn't be a bad alternative either, ha. Anyway, please, share your thoughts.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • i think mania 23 is underated horribly.

MVP vs Benoit really got me into believing in him as a future maineventer.

undertaker vs batista was very good to me, maybe batistas last great match, if we can throw that word around lol

the MITB match was very good also, even if we take out the hardy ladder spot

Cena and micheals was fun for me, as micheals was the first wrester i saw as a child(my first ppv was of him winning the belt) and Cena got me back into smackdown and faith in the titles

  • If only the Fingerpoke of Doom happened at a Wrestlemania or brought Robocop to a Wrestlemania

  • wrestlemania 19 was good

  • wm 21 was quite good in terms of matches, taker vs orton, eddie vs mysterio, michaels vs angle

  • i thought the triple threat at 22 was good but it made no sense y it wasn't the main event and was soooo short

  • Wrestlemania 2000 sucked, but i have to say my fav 'mania match Ultimate Warrior Vs. Hulk Hogan

  • the Trple treat match WAS to short but it was NOT a bad match, angle made sure of that.

  • I think it was, heh. One admittedly awesome double German suplex wasn't saving it for me :) or the crowd for that matter

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Come on, Brock missing the Shooting Dtar made the match a LOT better than it was.

  • One of my favourite WM's was WM10.

  • you think WM 19 sucks? WRONG

  • Wow, I can't compete with that argument, you so win!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • sorry that was a little harsh I forgot I suscribed to you guys...

  • wm 17 owns. i miss the attitude era

  • wrestlemania 17:

shane vs vince - brutal match and very "shocking" twist at the end with a nice shane mcmahon trashcan spot.

kurt angle vs chris benoit - technical wrestling at its best.

tlc2- match of the year, bumpfest, very very entertaining

hhh vs undertaker - phenomenal upper card match !!

stone cold vs the rock - excellent build up and promo. the crowd is crazy, they are all busted open, many near falls they both do their opponent's moves. Excellent match and heel turn!

  • well mania 25 was not the worst ive seen,,but lets be honest here,it just flat out sucked, after all that buildup it was given as well ie orton and hhh.

  • I think people underrate WM 22. Forget the Boogeyman and Candice Michelle shit, the event had Foley vs. Edge, MITB 2 (Which I loved), and of course, Triple H vs. John Cena. But I think my personal all time favorite WM is WM 20 mostly because of the two World Title matches. Just curious Eric, what'd you think of WM 22 and how would you compare it to WM 20?

  • yes WM22 is underrated!!! Don't forget Vince vs. HBK! Rey/Orton/Angle wasn't bad either.

  • WM20 was flat out horrible. Goldberg/Brock is what really killed it. And I'm sorry, but seeing Benoit win the title was not that exciting.

  • The first one even though its consider a classic was one of the worst. I think that they were so worried not to have the matches overshaddow the C rate celebrities, they made the undercard trash. Executioner? Matt Borne who the hell is this clown? Having David Sammartino on the card just to have his old man get involved was pathetic. If only the King Kong Bundy match was 9 sec it would have been so bad. They had some good talent back then , but they kicked off WM with a bunch of crap

  • is taz going to be in tna as the 4th guy? why isnt he announcing?

  • Haha, you gotta learn to forgive (hopefully Bret will; have you discussed Montreal on your roundtable yet? T'd be interestin' to hear your views on that). I respect your opinions, but in my eyes, you could easily dedicate a whole roundtable discussion on HBK's mania moments, alone. ;)

  • I don't think Bret has "forgiven" in the real sense of the word, heh, and his statements and attitude towards Michaels since the HOF seem to indicate that, nor do I remember reading in his book that it's water under the bridge, heh, but hey, I hold grudges and it didn't even happen to ME, ha. Anyway, we haven't discussed it much at all actually. It's quite a subject, but you're also right that Michaels' matches at WM alone could be a discussion too. He is a great wrestler

  • U just spent 20 mins talkin' about mania and it took u 18 of 'em to mention MR Wrestlemania and the greatest of all time HBK. What is up with that? Is the roundtable still a little angry about SS97?

  • I don't know about the rest of the panel, but I sure am, ha. That aside, that's one thing we noticed after the fact, how little we mentioned Shawn Michaels. Part of me feels somewhat guilty, as he's had a ton of great WM matches to be sure, but on the other hand, that just says to me that we hold those other matches that more dear, they mean more, and that is all. Him Vs. Razor, Angle, Bret, Austin, now Undertaker, they're great, but I guess we cherish the others more

  • How did none of you pick Mania IX as the worst one? It had no good matches, shitty gimmicks (Giant Gonzalez in the airbruched body suit complete with ass crack), and a shitty main event were BOTH Bret and Yoko get buried by Hogan who needed to stroke his ego by winning the belt in a main event we wasn't supposed to be in

  • Pure nostalgia, that's all, heh. I remember when I was younger watching it live and having a good time until that bullshit Hogan title win. To show how biased I am, the mere fact Gorilla Monsoon was on it in any fashion means I can't bring myself to pick it, ha. Besides, I like themed shows :) So sue me, I hated 15, heh.

  • This video cemented my suspicions that you guys may not be the biggest fans of that Attitude Era. Oh well, interesting discussion, nonetheless. I would say my favorite Wrestlemania has to be 14, all in all a kick ass show, aside from Chris Warren singing the National Anthem, but we didn't see that on television, now did we?

  • You didn't have to suspect, if you'd just asked I'd have told you straight up I hated the Attitude era, ha. Which is funny because I think it produced one of the best WMs ever(14) and one of the worst(15) back to back. of course, popular opinion seems to be it goes from worst (2000) to best (17) in the same time period also. Actually, Chris Warren did sing the national anthem on TV didn't he? I'm very sure of it. Anyway, thanks! :)

  • Well, I loved the Attitude Era, but I also loved the early-to-mid 90s WWF-era. So, I guess in that regard, to each his/her own. However, I know that WM15 is considered one of the worst PPVs in WM history, but I actually really enjoyed it at the time. Granted, I was 14 at the time and it was one of the few PPVs that I actually ordered, but I thought it was exciting. Looking at it now, yeah, it sucked (Triple H's betrayal was surprising, though and the Undertaker's entrance was one of his best).

  • Sorry for keeping this conversation going with two comments, but I wanted to add a few more things. Anyway, yeah, it was a slow, trying PPV, but it was the cusp of an exciting time slowly but surely coming to end, at least for me. And about Chris Warren, the official story was that the National Anthem was sung before the PPV went to air, but it could have been broadcasted in some areas. I've been having a hard time trying to find a video of it, but there might be one out there.

  • why r u talking about WM 25 if you haven't seen it yet.

  • I meant Wrestlemania 2 actually so that's my bad but WM25 all you have to do is look at the card to tell you its pure bullshit. Vince and his posse of clowns have no ideas so they throw this bullshit together with the wrestlemania tag on it. Nothing about this card says good or exciting. just meh and okay

  • i kno but i cant call it till i see it i just wanna see austin go out with a bang n the taker hbk at least it wont be as bad as 9 11 or 2 it will have at least something u will remember grannted it wont be wm 17 level but

  • the worst wrestlemania i think is wrestlemania 20

the best i think is wrestlemania 12 with bret and shawn michaels

  • wrestlemania 20? benoit vs hhh vs hbk,
