  • Fail android proves its versatility. Its open and gives anyone a chance to make it different unlike the ipad iPhone (ooh changing backgrounds) and you failed to realize at the time Google hadn't mentioned yet how it was working to make android is for tablets

  • It's not like apple doesn't have some issues. i have a friend who's ipod's battery caught fire in his pocket

  • Why do I even bother watching your videos? You ALWAYS stick up for Apple. Give me ONE video where something else wins. Now wonder your name is: Apple Soldier....

  • And if you don't like the built in UI you can simple go download a custom rom, thanks to google's wonderful open source project. Something apple will never have And boy it's so nice to have a variety, and variety breeds competition, and competition breeds quality. Unlike the ipad that is stale and rarely has any monumental change

  • And if you don't like the built in UI you can simple go download a custom rom, thanks to google's wonderful open source project. Something apple will never have

  • iOS is universal because Apple is the only company allowed to make phones with that DRM riddled, closed-source garbage.

  • More people are using Android OS than iOS

    umadnow?

  • Why make a review when your a fanboy?..

  • @King1080p He is just made because Android use the Linux kernel, and it is kicking Apple's ass in market share ... Android market share keeps going up and iPhone keeps dropping more every year... Just like how Linux is kick Microsoft ass in Supercomputers / Server ... In Supercomputers Linux in the lead at 91.8% and Microsoft Windows Server 1.0%. Now Linux is working on taking over the desktop . Sheldon loves "Ubuntu Linux " :)

  • all i know is dat android > macpad

  • This is not Tab vs iOS. This is, let's all read a webpage aloud and point out defects with the Galaxy Tab screen resolution. Big Whoop!

  • Samsung Galaxy: the stupidest tablet of the world!!!

7" screen...you can't read news papers, playing games is impossible because you cover what you need to see!

Ok maybe is more portable that the iPad, but try to fit it into your pocket!

Therefore the galaxy is too small and too big at the same time!

  • @FedericoStivan Fail troll is fail.

  • @FedericoStivan How would playing games on an iphone or itouch be any better then the galaxy tab? The point of a tab is not to put it in your pocket. If i can read a news paper on my 4 inch screen im more then certain reading a news paper will b easy enough

  • @FedericoStivan then the 10' ipad must be gigantic. I guess you're just not a tablet person

  • @MrPudding28 I've got an iPad and it works great! I read every day the local and the internationals newspaper on it, watch youtube video and I even use it at school.

The point is that the galaxy tab 7" has been a failure...in fact they didn't sold it well. The 7" tablet are just big smartphone. Maybe the new galaxy tab 10.1 " will be better, but the iPad 2 will kick his *ss...

  • to quote andy rubin "mkdir android ; cd android ; repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git ; repo sync ; make" this is the definition of an open operating system. anyone can develop it a google release it free to anyone who wants it.

  • i think the point of different ui's and app stores is choice, id rather have the choice of many different ui's than be forced to use one. also skins like htc sense have shown to be very benefitial to the end user. if you focus on only the bad then how will you ever see the good in products. the problem here is that the tab is not running a tablet os, honeycomb is a tablet os. does this clear everything up?

  • yeah 'not open source' ,keep saying that to yourself.. glhf

  • ...At least Samsung can admit that they have problems in their products, you know. Not like a certain iPhone...

  • You seem to be worried about vendor lock-in. Apple is all about vendor lock-in. Silly "AppleSoldier".

  • is only Samsung that dit not good if you compare android and iphone os you know that android wil win iphone is just a pice of crap

  • Just saying 'not open source' will get any Linux user like me mad. Linux users unite!!!

  • Does he know about updates? I mean really. It was JUST released. Like the iPad when just released. It had a handful of issues of its own. Espicially with the damn screen. xD

  • Android's only barely ready for Tablet Primetime (though on smartphones, 2.2 works beautifully -- i can't say anything about 2.3, there's no 2.3 update out for the Droid X Yet), but believe you me, if that Android Tablet motorola demoed is anything to go by Android 3.0 is going to at least cause a dent in Apple's sales, if Motorola plays the pricing game right.

  • Android all day :D does i pad have FLASH?

  • i really want to punch you.......

  • Is it me or does he keep pushing market choice as a bad thing? And without try it...

  • Is it me or does he keep pushing market choice as a bad thing?

  • You are so fucking annoying AppleSoldier, your comparing PC & MAC and Ipad & Samsung Galaxy TAB. You always think Apple is better in any way possible. You know I really did not hate you in the first place, But now you're pissing me off. Apple this Apple that. You do know, Because of your childish whining about Apple more people are motivated to buy an PC instead of an Apple. YOUUUU...SUCK!!

  • @OnbekendGHC I would buy a Mac Mini, upgrade it (the new Mac Mini can let you change your RAM), get an iPad, install Android on it, then install Ubuntu or Windows XP on the Mac Mini, just to piss this guy off.

Don't worry, a lot of Apple fans are pissed off at him, too.

  • The reason google are "giving it away" is because the kernel that it runs on is licensed by the GPL and as such, if google didn't give it away there would be a gpl-violation. You can get the source code for android if you want. It doesn't get more open than that. As for the iphone being the best selling phone on the market, you would do well to remember that windows is the best selling operating system on the market. But it doesn't make it the best.

  • @spannerotoole "windows is the best selling operating system on the market. But it doesn't make it the best."

I fucking dare you to say that to the amount of Windows fanboys out there.

  • Android hype is bullshit. They have these nerdy fans who says android is 'open' and apple is like a evil empire, Which is nothing to do with user experience. And Their final weapon 'Flash' turns out to be useless... This review sounds perfect for me... You can call me a apple fanboy, but the fact is iphones are the best selling phones(for a single line up) and the ipad is the best selling tablet in history and they both topped the consumer satisfaction... Again android hype is bull shit.

  • @misn100 Well, explain to me, why Apple decided NOT to allow Scratch by MIT Media Labs. It's kid-friendly, a fan made an iPhone viewer for it, then BOOM... Apple stopped it being sold in the App Store.

Also, because of a rule by Apple, some guy made a blog post under the title:

"Apple Bans Firefox, SpiderMonkey, Lisp, Lua, Ruby, Python, Rhino, Java, Opera, .NET, Squeak, Quake, Unreal, Second Life, GCC, GDB, GNOME, KDE, Photoshop, Word, Excel, Flash, Freetype and Zork"

  • @Habbloxian scratch was coded partly with private api. apple mostly dont allow becuase they want thier platform stable. and most of the things that you said after, mostly arent true.. and there is not a real relation with apples success... BTW.. did apple rape your wife and kill your father? if you dont want to deal with thier restrictions dont use their products...

  • have you tried it ye emeek? that Samsung tab just feels awful. It's slow to open apps and the physics of just flipping from page to page don't even come close to the smoothness of the ipad or iphone

  • But arent options better? i dont want all my devices to feel the same, thats why i buy different devices

  • At least other companies admit they make mistakes, unlike Apple. "OH OTHER PHONES GET THEIR SIGNAL CUT AS WELL IF YOU HOLD IT IN A DEATHGRIP!!!!"

  • Samsung acknowledged today........ that you are a total dipshit.

  • anyway.. 6:45 gingerbread will be 2.3, honeycomb will be 3.0 (probably)

  • I wish we could stop this "oh this product is soo good and all others are crap".

The iOS is used on very few specific devices, which of course makes it much easier to optimize it for them.

Android on the other hand runs on hundreds of different devices, which of course makes it harder to properly support all kinds.

They are very different and there wont be a 'winner' or 'looser' in the near future, they will coexist in the smartphone and tablet market. Competition is good.

  • "There are more people in China than there are in America. I've read it in an article."

    /cry in sorrow

  • Oh, a comparison of iOS vs. Android by a guy called APPLE SOLDIER. I wonder what unbiased verdict he'll reach! *grabs popcorn*

  • Just tried the iPad and the galaxy tab. I straight away went for the galaxy tab. It`s definitely better than the iPad. Portable, better user interphase, can make calls from it. The iPad is just plain. Nothing special, heavy, but you get a bigger screen. I also noticed the internet browser in iPad doesn`t reflow text as the galaxy tab, and I guess I and many others buy this tab for casual surfing which we spend alot of time doing on our laptops. So this criteria is so important to me. Tab wins.

  • The only reason why I never bought any Apple product is simple; I don't like the Apple community, I really don't, their attitude is one of arrogance and ignorance. Nevertheless, I thought the iPod touch G4 was an interesting product so I decided to read some Amazon reviews. The replies that I read to reviews that gave 1 or 2 stars where shocking with things like "You're too stupid to buy an Apple product".

I will never buy anything Apple....ever.

  • btw you can scale any app on the Tab aswell, it just requites some tweaking and it isn't too hard cause android is open. ;) Just search "scale apps on tab" on youtube and look at the first video.

  • The ipad sucks.

Its just a big ipod -.-

  • Really Android isn't OPEN-SOURCE github.com /android here's the source dummy . A word of advice don't believe everything you read from a blog site.

  • FAIL

  • yeehaww! getty up boy!

  • Wow you still only read a one sided, out-dated articles about a products whos pricing specs and full functionality haven't been released yet to make another one-sided opinion. I DARE you to get the tab and use it make a video about it.... however that will never happen because you know that you will only look like a fool. why don't you get some experience for yourself and stop reading articles you redneck washed up apple fan-boy.

  • @acreshorts wow, you're posting in a video that was posted 5 months ago when those 'out-dated articles about a products whos pricing specs and full functionality haven't been released yet', came out.

"I DARE you to get the tab and use it make a video about it...."

How about he just wait to see if it sells?

That's like giving him a DARE to vote for Obama in 2012, even though he doesn't like Obama.

How about he votes for what he wants to vote for and you vote for what you want?

  • If phone companies really wanted mobiles to go back to the OS's the way they were before they'd have made mobile phones with OS's the way they were made before.

  • don't defend ipad....it failed...it was just a money maker

  • @skaterguy1423 love your comment the fan-boys can not get over it

  • lol just wait dude the iphone came out one year before the first android phone, and within a year of the release android grew more than the iphone, just saying

  • your going to have to pick an choose? Thats bad? It's called democracy. You are a fuckin commie for saying that.

  • Lol if you though that all Mac stuff was better then anything else ever then you wouldn't be talking or arguing about android lmfao I think Ur just sad that android is on 64 percent of all mobile devices now cheers

  • 40% of all web sites ,, haha what Eva . iPad it the king all all what this man said it true and it's grate to have some telling google fans the truth...

  • But out your Ipad and hit a flash website. Oh wait, the Ipad won't display about 40% of all websites because they're flash. That sucks.

Ok case closed. I'll the the device that actually works.

  • WOW.. You are constantly fighting an obvious speech impediment. Have you ever thought of seeing a speech therapist?

  • cell phone os on a tablet... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sounds like iOs

  • talk about some other issues... not just one... wait cause the tab owns the ipad(:

  • @ChocolatersPancake HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah right.

  • @TheMacFan87 HA HA! VIRUSES? HA HA HA! I have not seen self executing malicious code in android yet. Do tell!

  • @djAMPxp18 He's a Mac fanboy. OBVIOUSLY he's going to bring up viruses, even on something that has less viruses tham Mac.

    XD

  • @AmiableAdder Hahaha, too true!

  • @djAMPxp18 This guy is dumb, isnt he. I mean Viruses? Com on!

  • @djAMPxp18 there are some trojans, but not a big deal anyways if you know your stuff, though a casual user could accidentally download one, they're not likely to, as they're not very common, you'd have to look for one

  • @TheMacFan87 I installed iDroid on my iPhone. Suck on that, asshole. I get both!

  • i think google doesn't want a tablet pc with android on it before 3.0 but if companys feel like putting it on a tablet they just say go a head.

i still belive in somthing like a half tablet half eepc. bascily a touch monitor that you can spin 360 degress. only problem then is you need to get it down to around 1-2 kilos max and getting a proper ui skin for windows 7

  • In life, The one thing you must protect is your "Choice". No matter who says what, you must always be prepared to give up your life for you freedom of "Choice", else life is not worth living at all

  • @AppleSoldier Yes it's fine if you want to choose Apple. I have an iPod Touch, an Android phone and an Alienware laptop. I find all those products great. No hate for any of them. But it isn't logical to say that the plethora of choices Android handsets have isn't a good thing.

  • @AppleSoldier and i choose apple.

  • @AppleSoldier wow so what your saying is that you would die for apple.... in my book you are an absolute moron.

  • @AppleSoldier Well said.

    Choosing Apple is a choice.

  • All Iphone/Ipod apps display on the ipad 800 x 400.

  • I have an HTC EVO. I haven't run into any apps that don't work well on it.

  • where do you get this background(wallpaper) ?

  • What about the Dell thingy pad?

  • *sigh*

    1. iPhone 3G apps look like crap compared to iPhone 4 apps. All the graphics were designed for the lower resolution of the 3G.

    2. Are you seriously going to run 3G apps natively sized on the iPad?

With 3 different resolutions on the iOS platform it faces the same challenges as Android. Developers have to adjust their content to work in the "new" resolutions.

Oh, and Motorola and Saumsung aren't carriers.

  • There;s nothing wrong with Android, if there were third party hardware companies manking devices for iOS then Apple would run into similar if not completely different problems. It's called capitalism. Vultures like HP or Sony want to capitalize on the popularity of Android and they don't seem to care as much for the user experience. You can't fully blame Google for that.

  • Just wait for the BlackBerry PlayBook!!

  • WOW...just WOW! Before you make a video, you should get all your facts right. "Samsung will be pushing Samsung apps"...kinda like Apple pushing Apple apps? D'oh!!

  • I'm always listening iPhone users say that the iPhone has more "essential" apps that you just wont get on a android device... could anyone tell me any specific name and it's functionality that any android user wont get? And please games and book stores or music stores are not something I would really call essential since I always rather to do those kind of stuff on my pc not on tiny device...

  • @josian220 People who i know that have iPhones tell me how much better they are because of the Apps and the browser. I have all the essential Apps i need on my blackberry, there is no app on the iPhone that i think "oh i must have" in fact the googlegoggles is the only app that i can't get where i think "damn it".

Then also for the games i have my DS, much better than any iphone game.

  • i laughed when you said "as cheap as the iPad". That was a good one.

  • I have an android, and i don't like it. Its always crashing and i can't never do what i want. So i don't know what freedom are all of you talking about because with my android i DON'T have any! I have never seen any "choice" ;)

  • @kokaPRinter quality and user experience and workability id far predominate and superior to some weak need for CHOICES... apple WORKS! thats what matters

  • @realmencandance Stop bringing up the apple works arguments, it's crap. Based on my experience with a variety of apple products they don't "just work".

  • @kokaPRinter

Which apps are you running when it crashes? Because I have quite a stable experience on my Nexus One.

  • @leodamascus Well, even the market place crashes :/ my note pad, facebook, my tTo do list, my GPs. things like that :/ it crashes every time i am in a hurry -.- even when some one calls mee.

  • @kokaPRinter

Do you have any apps installed that are meant to run in the background? Those apps should not crash your phone, so it sounds like a conflict with either a poorly programmed wallpaper, a new UI, a task killer (which really hurts you battery life), or similar programs. Do you have any apps like that installed? Also, which version of Android are you running?

  • @leodamascus Well, a month ago i have them all in the background yeah but now i put them all in a folder. since that, they not crash every time like they did early but still crash :/ i don't know what version of android am running but were can i upgrade it to the latest version?

  • @kokaPRinter

No no. I don't mean where did you put your program icons. Those icons aren't the programs themselves. When I said, "apps that run in the background," I mean apps that are supposed to do things without you having to run them explicitly, like a new live wallpaper, or something that scans text messages. Have any of those?

Unfortunately, if Android isn't automatically updating itself then updating it manually is a bit of a chore. So tell me instead, what Android phone do you have?

  • @leodamascus My mad xD well i have just one, an app that scans every text message. I have an Motorola Qlic, the guy in T-mobile sold it to me like an android, so it has to be an android. Sorry about all the questions and my little experience with Android, am a user of android since 3 months now :/ so am not that in to it. So what can i do to updait it?

  • @kokaPRinter The safest way to update is just to wait. An update's expected by the end of this year. The risky way would be to flash Cyanogen to it, but you'll have to do your own research(I've never been gutsy enough to try it, so I couldn't help). In the meantime, maybe the following would help:

    1. Disable motoblur. the Cliq might not allow this, but try pressing menu > settings > applications > manage applications > motoblur > clear defaults.

    2. Uninstall that text app if you can.

  • @kokaPRinter

Continuing last comment due to character cutt off...

Also, don't be shy about asking any Android power user for help. We're almost all happy to help any way we can, and very patient with questions from new users. So there's no need to apologize for being new to Android. We'll work together and get any kinks that pop up figured out.

  • @leodamascus Well thank u for all of this. So i have to wait to end of the year for an update? I uninstall the text app ;) and what will happen if i disable motoblur? will that affect my phone? or what will happen?

  • @kokaPRinter

Unfortunately, motorola's kind of slow about updating their phones, so yeah, you'll probably have to wait until the end of the year to update your phone. If you disable Motoblur, it'll change the way your phone looks and works a bit to be more like other Android phones. I'm not familiar with Motoblur myself, but I think you'll like the normal Android interface anyway. It's fully functional, and was built by Google, so it should more likely to work well with Android.

  • @leodamascus well, lets see how this woks. I hope it works because this week my phone has give me some problems. But man thanks a lot for all this help, i can't ask u for more ;) thank u again.

  • @leodamascus One more thing man, i did what you told me but it nothing happen. The MotoBlur services app don't let me clear the defaults. What else i can do to make my phone runs more smooth and don't crashes a lot. Sorry for the more questions.

  • @kokaPRinter

I wish I could help you further. I don't actually know much about the Motorola Cliq, though, so I'm stumped, too. Hopefully the update for your phone will fix it, or at least make it possible to disable Motoblur. One last suggestion to try is running force close on the motoblur app (getting to it the same way). If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. If that's the case, I guess just don't buy anymore phones that force motoblur.

  • android is better than ios

  • android gives you choice, apple does not. i guess eric does not like choice. also if flash slows things down then why does a phone like a htc desire load web pages faster than a iphone 4. it also uses tap to zoom better than the iphone 4. apple says the iphone 4 has a 1ghz processor yet its only clocked at 800mhz.

  • Keep the vids coming AS! Very good video!

  • hmmm isnt that the purpose of android open different services lots of choices of devices THE CUSTOMER GETS TO pick what they want. and when you said a cellphone operating system mhhhmm isn't that the ipad and ipod iOS its all the same crap. and why don't you get a real channel other than reading articles

  • android is a mess

  • It seems that you always pick at non-apple hardware for the stupidest reasons. if you want to compare 2 device, no matter what they are, you should compare them completely. you always pick little reasons why not to like a device. basically what i'm trying to say is PLEASE TRY NOT TO BE BIASED.

  • more like full shit lol

  • The iPad may not have front and rear-facing cameras, or an SD memory card slot like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but it comes with something better - freedom from wireless contracts. iPad wins.

  • Ummm...the issue of apps scalability doesn't mean there is a problem with the device. It means that there is an issue with the developers. In the end, whoever offers the shittyest support isn't going to sell one Tablet. Simple as that. This will be sorted out in about six months as word gets around about who is fucking users over. Native apps will come along at that time. Six months. That's all.

  • All this talk about the iPad is giving me iCramps! I’m not buying an iPad. Period. (get it? :) - period lol)

  • I cant stand using an iPhone app on an iPad. The button placements fell to far apart in zoom mode and using them in the original resolution just looks ridiculous.

  • iOS best shit period

  • Android is opensource (free) anyone can use it, fragmentation gonna happen on an opensource product. have you ever used openoffice? its pretty gud but the logos are jaggy. it happns. i personally don't like the galaxy tab, or any slate device for that matter. I say throw a keyboard and a bigger screen on that bitch cuz i don't want it

  • I still don't see the point of using any iphone or ipad... I doesn't has any flash, it can't connect to smb servers I think so I wont be able to stream any of my files. Any way I think that wasting more than 200$ for a tablet is a waste I would rather buy a augen gentouch that may not be as fast as any ipad but it only costs me 150$ and I can stream easely, use skype (with nimbuzz), connect the tablet to my smb server, be able to control my iTunes equivalent (banshee :D), browse the web, etc.

  • Fandroid haha nice

  • Didn't think I'd ever 100% agree with one of your videos but you were spot on with this video.

  • Since when is quickly 13+ minutes.

  • The ipad is on AT&T..right. Your about about the choice. Compatibility is a mute point seeing as how most of all the things you do is going to be web based. I'm sure their will be an upgrade to the next android OS. Like remember folks that Ipad need a dongle or a dock enable to use a USB flash drive--->fail.

  • I would have to agree with Emeek in this video. I would rather be closed and at least have some good quality apps. There's not a lot you can do with 'open'.

  • How about some more tutorials?

  • I love this video. So fucking much. Lawls.

  • I paused this video at 0:00 and haven't even watched this because I know what it's all about just by looking at the comments. I also know that AppleSoldier can be objective at all.

  • Poor analogy @ the China thing. People choose to use Android devices and support their development from manufacturers with their purchases. One born in China really doesn't have the option to just poof over here.

There is a windmill in my beard.

  • "they would not allow something out on the market that was "a little ugly""

The fuck do you call scaled iPhone apps? They look blurry and like crap. Why did Apple allow them to be scaled? Why not require all apps to be native. Nice try.

  • Umm, how exactly is there a lack of compatibility because of Android experience differentiation? First of all, you're trying to view all of these devices as like, one Google tablet. What would be the purpose? Why should all manufacturers make the SAME tablet? Just because they're all using Android doesn't mean they should all look the same and such. That's just silly. What would be the reason to buy one device over another?

  • "You don't have to worry about buying something because it's not scaling well."

Neither do Android users. You can return apps for up to a day. No "worrying" about anything.

    "or being blurry"

Yeah, because stretching out the iPhone's apps doesn't make it look blurry or pixelated at all.

  • Ohh.. gawd just another video promoting iPad and Apple products.

  • I'd probably rather have a WebOS based Tablet.

  • Of course hp is saying its android tablet sucks, its coming out with a webOS tablet, you know webOS; the thing hp payed millions of dollars to get?

  • I would still rather have android

  • It just a modified version of what Android provides, its not a hole different OS, all basically based of Androids OS

  • I had high hopes for the Samsung Galaxy TAB but now I think it will never compete with the iPad & I think the Galaxy Tab will FAIL.

  • @iHack42 lol like u know

  • thanks

  • You should start ending the videos with "iOS, brothers" as well. lol

  • I love the new series "iOS vs. Android"

  • Dude! Nobody likes your videos!!! Shut your Piehole!!!!!1!!!

  • One thing other ipad competitors can NEVER catch up ...

IPAD supports 11 muti-touches! There is NO other devices can even offer you muti-touches half of what apple gives u !!!

  • ANdroid + phone/tablet makers are not the same company!! how can they work better than apple??

  • the ipad is going to be dificult to beat

and im not a apple fanboy AT ALL but thats the true sorry guys

  • @luis61961944 I'd agree. I do like the iPad more then these others but I'd like to see a competitive rival tablet that actually make a difference. I think the issue is most of these tablets are preceded by rumors that the manufacturers just can't deliver. Because the features that people want to see in these other tablets might just be a pain in the ass to provide, either making them too expensive or just not possible. The iPad will be on version 2 before they come out with a decent alternative

  • Android is best, how can you compare this? I hate you more.

  • ''There's more people living in China then America...'' REALLY???? U READ THAT???!!!... INBRED RETARD....

  • I waiting for a HTC Android Tablet.. HTC pwns doing Android-devices.. I hope HTC will do something good.

  • "Apple does everything right, everything else is a piece of crap"

Why dont you just put that on your channel and then you wouldnt have to make anymore videos.

  • What you need to realize is that the application programmer decides the size of the app, so all they have to do is adjust their apps. A simple fix.

And please, PLEASE dont call the giant iPod touch(iPad) revolutionary. ITS NOTHING BUT A GIANT IPOD TOUCH!

  • I usually disagrees with with you Apple Soldier (because you are both ignorant and a huge fanboy) I have to say that this video was actually pretty goog and you do have some valid points.

However, I don't think anyone should buy a tablet, at all. regular netbook is just as portable, can run pretty much the same programs + more and has a ton of other features, all that while still being cheaper than the iPad and other tables currently available.

  • @MarTuv93

Netbooks and tablets (even though the iPad is the only one out there) are different animals but they seem to compete for the similar market. Netbooks is a big compromise of performance because they're basically stripped down versions of average laptops, but the iPad goes in the opposite as they advance in touchscreen technology and they evolve. It's not how many features a device has, but how much more you can do with them.

  • @Coraxuss

"It's not how many features a device has, but how much more you can do with them."

And the only thin an iPad can do is browse the web, without flash. 99.9% of the apps are "fart apps" which are fun for about 10 seconds and then get get boring. Yes I own an iOS 4 decive so I know what kind of apps that are in the appstore. Most of them are just browser flash games ripoffs.

A netbook can do more things and it does it better, at a lower cost. You don't get the touch screen but who cares.

  • @MarTuv93 99%? you're joking right. lol

  • @ki2594

I'm not joking. I have my iPod Thouch jailbroken so I can get every app for free, but I am still unable to find decent appls. I pretty much only use my ipod for music and this game called "peggle" since I can't find any good apps.

"A netbook can do more things and it does it better, at a lower cost. You don't get the touch screen but who cares."

How about over 3 million people and counting? And no, not all are Apple rabid-fans either. Apple succeeded where others have failed, and they have gotten along just fine, if not better, without Flash, so bad day for you if thought Flash was a necessity.

  • @Coraxuss A comment on the millions and millions of web sites that use flash?...

  • @TearsOfWar1

Apple has proven that you can have a growing market for a touchscreen device where Flash no longer has relevance and influence on its products. iPad has something to gain, all those millions and millions of websites that use Flash might have something to lose. I see the iPad as a crescent moon that is gradually growing to its full brightness whereas Flash is already a full moon but will slowly diminish its presence and dominance.

  • @Coraxuss Got any good sources to back this claim up? What about newground? (I really don't know many examples for good flash using websites, but newground is one of them). They seem to be doing well regardless of ipad.

  • @TearsOfWar1

Yeah because websites like Newgrounds have been around long before the first iPhone was ever conceived. Flash had already established its dominance, but now has HTML5 as its challenger. Besides, there are major websites that are adopting to HTML5 standard and this one we're commenting is one prime example.

  • @Coraxuss Note how fucking shit youtube is. It was 10000000x better when it wasn't owned by google and was flash.

  • @TearsOfWar1

And so that's supposed to mean that all other websites adopting HTML 5 will turn out shit too? The development of HTML5 has already taken off and so is Apple's iDevice market that uses no Flash. Sorry but that's fact.
