Its not as easy as it looks. This is an instrument, so its necessary to get or have a litle knowlege in music theory. Some people i see using this thing seem to have no idea what theyre actually doing.

@thementalspade It's not that hard, dude. It's more about feeling what sounds right. You have to really just get a feel for what sounds work with others. When you do get it, I recommend holding the BPM and record keys (simltaneously) and turning it on while you hold it. This opens up the 16 bar mode which allows for more complicated beats. From there you just have to fuck around with it.

@OTCPunk What he did was a Loop Length change. Hold down Loop and press Tap/BPM, you will see L 8. Turn the knob left and you cut the length of the loop so it plays ever-shorter segments of the beginning. It's in the instructions.

Depends on what you mean.

Your can connect the sound output of the Kaossilator (KO-1) to a sound input on the MicroKorg.

You can not however use the KO-1 as another oscillator for the Micro and you can NOT send ANY type of signal from the Micro to the KO-1.

How is it only a toy? You can use it in a large number of situations for simple backups instead of a drum machine (and its portability makes it extremely viable in these situations). Paired with a looping station you can build all kinds of songs.

Calling this a toy is like calling a sax a toy because you cant play make big band music on it.

Call my an imbecile, but this video alone proves that this is a capable instrument even as a standalone. When paired with other gear it has good potential.
