I'm doing this for my NYSSMA solo (NY state solo festival.... We get graded on solos we preform based on certain levels) I love how this sounds and then when I learned what it translated to I was like O.o ok......
Some singers prefer "the guitar accompaniment"--a few intermittent chords from the orchestra--that leaves them free to embellish the tune as they please. Mozart, they complain, gives the orchestra so much to do--it seems less an escort than an arresting officer. But I'll take Mozart any day. But my goodness! the cello really goes to work at the close of this aria. Bravo Mozart!
@Ninaki13th I agree, it's very hard. It's not too high, but it has almost coloratura arrangements. Very difficult to perform for a person just starting (like me). I mean, that's my voice range right now (a soubrette).
amazing, wonderful song and INCREDIBLE VOICE!

Magnifica Lucia. Perché nei Conservatori non insegnano a cantare così morbidamente???

This is the most heavenly version that I've found. Incredible subtlety and nuance!

it made me cry... within 30 seconds, I am crying... I have no control over the emotions, when a great great singer pulls them out of me....
I have listened to 6 Batti Battis this evening, and this one made me cry...
thank you so much for posting

@PTCello Have you heard her sing Ruhe Sanft? It's even more beautiful! Also by Mozart. :)

Leoperarm,
I'm loving Lucia in Don Giovanni. If you have it, could you please post Giovinette che fate all'amore and Ho capito, signor sì? Thank you
