The present line up includes Jeff Turton who returned to the group in 2008. Clive Lee has retired and there has been numerous front men in the band since Clive left. But it was Chuck who started the band way back in 1958, then after a while Jeff joined. Fair play to Chuck for keeping it going no matter how many members there have been over the years. And over that time there has only been one Rockin Berries group. What you first commented on was still The Rockin Berries, Cheers
Aha! I didn't know, I'm not a brummie - Chuck Botfield is not a name at the forefront of my mind. Geoff Turton and Clive Lea are and it's them that sing/front all the old videos from the 60s on Youtube so .... that's who i expect to see. (others retired!! - they must be of similar vintage to the Stones...) Maybe someone could post modern renditions of 'Water..' Poor man's son. He's in town etc
If you knew your stuff, you would see that the lead guitarist is the founder member of the Rockin Berries. His name is Chuck Botfield. And all the other originals have retired. So whats Chuck Botfield going to do, go on stage as a one man band? I think if he wanted the band to continue he would have had to hired other musicians, dont you? Elementary my dear Watson
Who exactly are these guys? How many of them played on 'The water is over my head', Poor Man's Son or 'He's in town'? Why The Beach Boys songs? They've got enough good ones of their own! Is this just a 'chicken in the basket ' band who have nothing to do with the original RBs?? Thanks
