These units would be ex Commonwealth Railways (Australian National) Clyde-GMs and were re-geared for use in the Adelaide Hills and beyond with freight working only.New axle sets were purchased from Commonwealth Steel at Waratah N.S.W during the late 1980s and early 1990s.Most Clyde-GMs of C.R (A.N) had never seen a hill to speak of previously due to the natural terrain that they were originally purchased for.
Absolutely love those classic horns. And the good old GM's. I remember in the late 70's as a boy, hearing so much frieght traffic at night on the southern highlands line. Hearing lot's of GM's and those wonderful "whistles" in railway terms. The video has a great sense of character. Keep up the cool filming mate !
Absolutely cool locos. Diesel power. Thumbs up! :)

Nice that these units don't have the "screechy" horn as most Aussie locomotives do. Horn sounds like a K5LA

@TheBritishLegions Standard guage 4' 8 1/2", Australia has a few different guage tracks but majority is standard guage here.
Not sure what your loading guage is there though.
