Just know caster that two can play that game, any given military can use the same tactic.

And with the T-55, it's not the best tank out there, but for the price with the T-55AGM is a cheaper alternative to one of the newer ones, while still maintaining a capability against MBT's.

the leopard2 has the best gun, the leclerc has the best electronics, the abrams has the best mobility, the challenger2 has the best armour, and the Merkava is the best protected. all that said the russian t-55 gets the best economy because of its 50,000$ price tag. also you will never need to worry about having trouble parking again!!

For a T55 crew to defeat an M1A2, that crew would have to highly trained. Upgrades are fine and well, but unless the crew knows what it is doing, they're dead meat. Also, the US Army fights as a unit, and can destroy any tank that opens fire on their buddies within seconds.

There is an upgraded version can defeat modern tanks, including Abrams at 2000-3000 m with it's gun, up to 5000 m with ATGM's. It's called the T-55AGM, google "T55/T-55 upgrade" and you'll find the site. Pictures, info, everything, very interesting.

The T55 is the AK47 of armor. Dang things are everywhere, but I'll tell you right now, don't take one up against US Army M1 tankers. They'll blow the innards out of the T55 everytime, no matter what the upgrade is.
